What about role of judiciary and basic structure doctrine? We have seen time and again, that supreme court has struck down unconstitutional laws. It doesnt matter if any party has 2/3 majority.

It is clearly a very tall claim to say that India is headed down this road. CAA-NRC is meant to be a practical aid for some people in neighboring countries. Without an explicit statement in a party manifesto, there is unlikely to be a sudden disenfranchisement. As Amit Shahji said, CAA nagrik lenae keliye nahin. CAA, sirf nagrik denae keliye hai.
We must avoid speculation like this that is saying that the road forward is one of lesser freedoms. And find ways to avoid over challenging a right wing Govt. Article 370 is very different from the kind of changes this seems to be advocating. India will never change Article 15. Or other core features of the Constitution so people are lesser citizens.

I saw some comments on Interviewer. I think she was just trying to get his views and let him explain his views. Its not an interview of someone in public office who is answerable. He is is clearly a noted liberal scholar and she is trying to get his views on the current topics. Which i suppose is motive of the interview. Actually I saw Sundar Iyer Interview just now. Now I get your point. There was lot of cross questioning in that case and very little here.
