Firstly the interviewer is herself so deracinated despite living in India. Hindus where ever they go globally , are net taxpayers. In UK 1.7% Hindus contribute 6% to the GDP. Also Hindus will always be loyal to the country they choose to settle. 1.7% of Hindus contribute to almost 0% of prison population while another peaceful minority community which is 6.7% contributes to 18% of prisoners. Host British community has slowly started to realise this fundamental difference between those who are perpetual victims and those who quitely go about their life. The Prof should differntiate between Hindutva which is Essentially the universal essence of Hinduism and Hindu nationalism which is specific to India. He has also not been able to explain why the 2nd or 3rd generation is still attracted to Hinduism and India. 60000 in Wembley stadium out of 1 million Hindus equals 5%. It is not a small number who endured a freezing cold November night. So the movement has widespread support. And pray what harm has Hindutva broght upon UK apart from promoting Yoga, Kabbadi, Kho and Rakshabandhan not to mention raising funds for so many local British charities. In USA the Hindutva charity Sewa USA is amongst top 10 charities. The Boy scout type of activities promoted by Hindutva movement need wider appreciation. And the likes of the interviewer should understand that this pride of the diaspora will get stronger over time as economy grows. Finally, this rise is attributed to 2014.
This interview is really funny. We have to have an American explain about indian diaspora when we have millions of accomplished indians who can do an better job. I object to a very loose and lazy way of using word hindutva. Typical of left liberals. And indian diaspora behaving differently Are they really? Long back jewish diaspora has been active in us. That is not called zionist inspired or anything like that. I guess that's not fit into woke outlook. Chinese diaspora is active too. I have seen it at very close quarters in seventees duri g my student days. That is ok. So why this big halla ballu of indians. Now if an intelligent person thinks a bit he would find a strong common thread. All have a strong cultural thread going back to millenia and they are rightly proud of it. This better be realised by left liberals. The so called RSS shakhas doing there is basically inculcating that among diaspora. And the likes of the interviewer should understand that this pride of the diaspora will get stronger over time as economy grows. Finally, this rise is attributed to 2014. That's what BJP will like to tell and left liberals seem to accept that. My opinion is, the watershed year is 1991 when rao and manmohan changed economic structure. That's when economic progress started leading to assertive indians.

Billions of minority Christian, Sikhs, Parsis / Iranian, Buddhist, Muslims still live peacefully in India, but, there will always be issues going on every day between minorities themselves for various reasons. West thinks all these issues are due to Hindu Nationalism, which is the issue. Modi came in 2014 only, but India had 100s of Riots, clashes, issues dates back to since Moghul aka Islamic invasion, during British Invasion of India. So, it’s NOT a NEW phenomenon, it was ALWAYS there, it WILL be there in future too.
