What a wonderful collection! My favourite is the brunette in yellow. She reminds me of my early memories of my mother. In the mid to !are 50s. My generation were far less less elegant in our youth!

In the 1950s, Miss Revlon, Little Miss Revlon, Sweet Sue, and the P-# knockoffs were all dolls with similar sweet faces and gorgeous post-WWII Baby Boomer mommy wardrobes.

@Michael Canadas My parents bought me a P-# knockoff in 1959. I still have her (and my 1956 Ginny). Ginny held up well; she's hard plastic. But the knockoff Little Miss Revlon now has no coloring to her body's vinyl. Just her face is as it was in 1959. She's still very dear to me, but her milk-white limbs break my heart.

I collect Cissette…I don’t have a lot of room and love small fashion dolls anyway. Cissette had mini versions of Cissy’s outfits..it’s amazing to see them in such a tiny size. I also collect Little Genius, my favorite as a child, Miss Revlon and Betsy McCall. My parents couldn’t afford to buy Cissy or Cissette for four little girls. Madame Alexander made such beautiful clothes. I even found gloves for Cissette. At this time it’s very hard to find accessories original to Madame let alone to a specific doll. The clothe for Little Genius are really cute; finding the clothes isn’t easy. Great presentation…I learned a lot. Of all the designers of that period, I Charles James.

Real girls in the 50s gathered 10 yards of cloth around their 24 inch waists. I was one of them. I could only get Madame Alesander dolls at the after-Ghristmas sales.

Beautiful presentation. Can't get enough of Cissy and new facts that come to light.. Truly, the pallet is plastic. Cissy's skirts are approximately 52" wide with a 1-1/2 to 2" hem, most blind-hem stitched.

Hi Michael. I was given a doll back in the 70's which my mother always called a Ginny doll. Her face is quite similar to these dolls. Do you know anything about Ginny dolls? Wonderful presentation, as always.
