What a wealth of information about these fabulous dolls. As a collector of vintage Madame Alexander dolls (my first Madame Alexander doll was a 1957 mint-in-box Cissy purchased from a Theriault doll auction over 16 years ago) I have only seen a few pictures of these gorgeous mystery dolls. What a treat to see them in such detail.
I just inherited 10 vintage Madame Alexander dolls in mint condition. Was going to sell them but I think keeping them and handing them down to my daughters when they're a little older will be best. Thank you for the video. Very informative and intriguing.
What a great video!!! I think the bride, ballerina and the Maggie face in the purple dress are my favorites. What great examples of MA's! Thanks for sharing!!!
Oh wow, I just love the Mystery Portrait dolls :) Madame Alexander was a fabulous doll maker :) Just think if she was still alive, what she would have accomplished in this da and time of more fabulous dolls :) LOVE LOVE her dolls
Wow, what an interesting dollstory. I never collected beyond Barbie dolls, but mme Alexander dolls are precious pieces of antique doll art. Thx for your lecture.
What great talent!!! My mom was given a Shirley Temple from her God-mother who was a Nanny to Shirley Temple so my mom, being a Florist/Fashion Show Coordinator/Personal Shopper Extraordinaire - really enjoyed the wonderful details you pointed out. Thank you for your passion!
