In this interview, we talk with Mike Gapultos and he shows us his custom raked out chopper that he was showing at the Lonestar Rally in Galveston, Texas. Mike’s chopper is powered by a 96” S&S Evo and a 5-speed case equipped with a 6-speed cassette. This chopper features a 30 over front end with the frame raked out to 53 degrees.
Mike built this chopper to keep a promise with a late friend of his. They had plans to build a long bike together but sadly did not get a chance to complete it together. This build was in honor of Mike’s friend. It’s that camaraderie that Mike enjoys most about Chopper culture. Although he didn’t win any awards at this year’s show, he enjoyed being with fellow builders and chopper lovers the most.
