I love aurora and how she plays with dynamics and articulation, which isn’t as popular in modern music but more classical. It shows how good she is.
Because real talent and skills are not very popular in modern music
I love how she still uses her hands even when playing the piano.

This is from a radio show where the artis plays one of their own songs. And then they are given a song to cover. They get one hour to prepare, for everything. Arrangement, rehersal. This is what she came up with in on hour..... ONE.
Aurora is so interesting and so... her. I hope you look at more of her music; her fans aren’t the largest group (yet!) but we’re fierce, lol! So we will show up!! This video was my introduction to your channel in fact! Hi! 😅 I’ll be looking at others of yours from this! I love that you pointed out the... stinger almost she puts in here for emphasis. Love that so much!!

I don't know why you are not but you have to have more view than that.. I don't get the people out there.. This is by far the most educative and real vocal coach reaction about Aurora - God Is A Woman! The others are all like "oh she is so intense so pretty oh look at her voice she is into your soul she is living the song with her actions and telling you a story.. she is ethereal.. blah blah blah.." okey alright we all know that and that is the reason why we are here, to learn how she does it. To learn the singing technics first and then the changes she does to this technics that is not suggested or taught by coaches then the last how she handles them all together and shows all of it together to us and makes us feel like how we feel when we listen or watch her.
P.S.: You are not stopping a lot compared to the other vocal coach reaction videos. (you got it in 8.23 and the others are more than 15.00...) It is enjoyable to watch your videos including and considering every little detail with that.
Keep it going Beth Roars you are by far the best.

I've seen a few vids from "vocal coaches" but this is by FAR the first time I've seen some who seems to ACTUALLY know what they're talking about to give us some understanding and I believe anyone would be soo lucky to stumble across you for lessons ^^ while I'm not into this side often you've got a new follower

Aurora is fantastic live. Great presence. Most interesting part is that she has a close childhood friend who is even more famous than her. Sigrid... also worth checking out!

Fredrik Vogsborg on guitar and Silja Sol are great singers in their own right. I used to do sound for those guys sometimes and their quality always astounded me. Check out Odd Martin odd Skålnes too, he worked with Aurora and also a great singer.

As a musician I don't love _everything_ about Aurora's music, but what I _do_ love is that she's honest from the surface right down to her core. So there's no layer of mere style or habit or convention that obscures what she's trying to express. She's wired up right (within herself), and she's wired deep.
Aurora's great. I don't even remember how many times I've listened to her Nidarosdomen concert, all I know is, never enough.
She has a tiny desk concert that she did a few years ago and it is amazing. You can see her disappear into the music like few other singers. There are also a couple of versions of her singing with a Norwegian band called Wardruna that are just awesome.

Btw, I see many of people writing that you should react to more Aurora, and I agree to 100%. But I see that everyone is writing about her newest songs, I would appreciate if you could react to one of the first songs, like “Awakening” I really like see how she had a whole other style before, even though she is the same person, but that was when she broke free, from “the world” So it’s interesting to see how she handled it herself, through her music.

i love Aurora! saw her in cologne in october and it was Beautiful. even my boyfriend (who works in Sound and Lights) liked it ^^
:-) It's nice when the music or the voice tells something about which part of the world the artist comes from. As a Norwegian I can relate to the music, when I listen to Aurora, whether she do her own songs or make covers her own piece of art. It catches my attention. There's something about the sounds of her vowels and the atmosphere, that seem clear and pure, with not too much going on at once, but still packed with small, interesting details. It's a world apart from latin rhythms. Not that there's anything wrong with latin rhythms, as I love all sort of music, but then again it's always nice when someone manage to capture the essens of the place they come from, and yet make it universal. I like your reaction video, Beth. You're seem confident and just lovely :-)
No I've never heard the original of Arian Grande (in-fact I can't mention a single song title by the artist) but I do love Auroras haunting, ethereal and fey-like Scandinavian/Nordic melancholy and capricious performances and been listening to her/them for a while.

I've been listening to her for 1 month and 3 days and I'm afraid she is changing everything for me. I only despair that I cannot write the was she does and could never sing as she does, but then again... that doesn't matter as SHE does! Changing everything. How??

everyones recommending her songs and thats good and all but PLEASE check her live performance at the nidaros cathedral on youtube. also known as nidarosdomen in Norwegian! it's such a stunning performance from her and the orchestra she had with her performing :)
my personal favourite there is ''it happened quiet''
they are guests to a radio show where they have to cover a song without knowing what song it is going to be. and they have one hour to prepare it before broadcasting. did you know that?
speaking about aurora i have to mention two artists, who had a huge influence in auroras music. first of all ane brun, who honored her with a cover version of one aurora song, which she exlusively played for her in a museum. one of her latest tracks is "last breath" which literally takes your breath away.

the second artist is susanne sundfør. the song "when the lord" is dedicated to lene marie fossen, a norwegian photographer who suffered from anorexia since the age of ten. the title is the leading track for a documentary called "selvportrett". the documentary premiered in january 2020, sadly lene marie passed away in autum 2019. be prepared to go on the most emotional journey. i think, this song is a must. a gem. it will leave an everlasting impression.

Watching aurora sing and play the keyboard at the same time is just fascinating. She has a nearly innate need to use her hands when she sings which results in one or both hands not playing on and off throughout the song.
