- Corpse Spitter bug: In act 4, if your merc dies nearby a corpse spitter, due to a bug the monster may eat his/her corpse what destroys the poor fellow permanenly! If you try to ressurect the merc, you get the "Cannot complete that request" message. All of its gera is permanently lost as well!
In Act4 ish, your rabies is what's actually dealing the damage, not the poison nova. Your grief ring deals too much damage, so it one-hit enemy without letting the rabies to spread. This is almost certainly why you have trouble in act4 and beyong. If you look carefully, whenever your rabies are spreading (if you miss your attack the rabies is applied and has a chance to spread), even the less version of the vemon lords (not totally poison immune) die pretty quickly...but when you don't miss-> one shot, rabies doesn't spread, so you progress slowly. It's a weird thing... if your attack deals less damage (or miss more... since missing still applies rabies), it actually would allow you to move faster because rabies would proc very often. If llama didn't have the holy freeze, nor the poison nova, he would have notice this trend much easier... but with the two, it's hard to recognize rabies (the light red effect, beside the green poison effect)
Problem with this strat is that the long lasting poison from rabies gets shortened by the comparably weak 2 sec Poison Nova effect although it looks super satisfying.
D2 Ressurected should have a single player mod section(supported by blizz. U know simple run thru of code to see how it works like newer days). So we who have been playing since the beginning would have more of a reason to play
I tried making a rabies druid with randomizer and 45 density. At the end of normal I came to the conclusion it wasn’t worth sticking with rabies compared to using the gear that had dropped: -conviction aura helm -teleport belt -+30% to cold skill damage weapon with +3 to all skills -armor with +2 to all skills and 50% fcr -shield with +5 to all skills and 28% to cold skill damage -ring with 30% fcr Specced to wind druid and just teleported through the whole game ez And the Merc has holy freeze aura armor

I have a feeling that merc disappeared somehow due to the Bone Prison that he had. Or perhaps something in his gear that the game did not like. Corpse Spitter bug was fixed 100 years ago. I doubt it was that.
@@matthewgagnon9426 still, lots of other items rolls perfectly. Look at all the pikes he picks up for he's merc. They arrent bugged rolled by the game. My guess is that so much items get dropped and rolled at the same time that the game happens to create some random non existing ones.

I definitly hope they CHANGE immunities. To 95% resistance maybe. Or at least remove the double and triple immunes. Yes, that would be it. Hybrid builds = less clear Speed but then more versatility
Someone tell Blizz D4 should try for consumable stat ups that are nonpermenant and expire at a given time. I think that would be a cool dynamic. Or imbuning items with expiring stat, abilities or effects. Also make them hard to come by so it's not a big part of the game, at least Ilimmediately.

It was a bug in the very first vanilla version of Diablo 2 and was quickly patched out.
