  • Continuing her exploration of mark-making Louise demonstrates how to make reusable templates that will enhance your mark-making repertoire. She demonstrates the method that you can utilise and expand upon with your own designs and paint application methods.
    It is a useful technique, full of potential, which allows the use of shape, colour and texture that can only be achieved through this type of application. The marks are printed using a Gelli plate and also a silicone brush.
    Opaque or translucent colours and shapes can be layered to create interest and depth.

    thanks so much for this. im currently in poor health and can quite see an end to it. i had not been in my loft to paint for weeks. i saw your video and went up to make some of my own stencils and hauled my gelliplate out and have begun to be creative again. it was not stuff that i have not done before. but there was something in your voice, your shere enthusiasm which made me stir my stumps. and i have begun to do a little every day. a huge thank you! best r

      Thanks and welcome. It is my pleasure. The whole process of thinking of tutorials I think that people would be interested in and then trying to make a coherent lesson is soooo good for me as well. Makes me more inventive and allows me to explore things that I wouldn't normally give myself the time to explore. So many thanks to all those interested in my channel X😀

    Hand sanitiser is the best for cleaning gell plates and good for getting dried glue off of scissors too.

      @LouiseJannetta  7 місяців тому +1

      Hi again Karen, thanks very much for watching again X. I think the paint was just acrylics. If I want it thinner and more translucent, I would add some acrylic medium. All the best, Louise X😀

    What is the liquid you add to the colour while mixing?

    • @LouiseJannetta
      @LouiseJannetta  Рік тому

      The white liquid was acrylic liquid matte medium, you could also use acrylic binding agent. It is to make sure that there is enough binding agaent in acrylic diluted with water. X
