Thanks man, I think a lot of people just don't see it because they don't enjoy nature enough. It's only when you're out there, that you realize how much you start valuing our environment... Glad you think that way 👍 World needs more people like that
My husband and I just saw this. Absolute favorite. We laughed so hard. It was epic smell, gag, bro fun. Loved It. We found you not long ago. Speed watch the videos. So good. Ellen and Phillip Southern Indiana Fish on!!!
Your videos are amazing my friend. Ive tried many of your trout recipes. Keep up the great work. I actually do a morning talk show here in St Louis and have promoted your channel.
Thank you!! I think the key to a good time is not taking things too seriously and just getting out and doing it. Even if you almost puke 😂 Glad you're enjoying the videos and tight lines to you too! 🎣
@@NWFishingSecrets very inspiring brother. Its helping me get motivated to get back out and do what I love to do. With everything going on lately I've lost motivation to do things like this.
Anytime man. Yeah, there’s definitely too much crap laying around. Amazing that there are still so many people out there who think that littering is acceptable. Blows my mind actually
We recently had a pot go over with new one and tied a hitch in it, went back a week later with a line tied between the downriggers and "trolled" over the GPS mark. Took about 3 minutes to get it and bring it back up.
Wow! Love hearing this! Good on you for pulling it back out and quite the awesome story! Over 10,000 pots are lost and left in the Puget Sound each year.... Crazy stuff.
Thanks, that one was delicious.... 🤤 not sure what we used that day. Probably night crawlers or Berkley Gulp sandworms... For Flounder, really anything will work. Try shrimp, squid, bacon, bits of fish, really anything. Even plastics and metal jigs/spoons!
They’re good, we just caught flounder with them a couple weeks ago. Usually I fish for them in 50-80’, but in the winter go 80-120’ 👍🏻 definitely more challenging to catch them in the winter!
I hike Owens Beach and I always take a garbage bag with me. I've never failed to fill it up. They can hike it in no problem. Why can't they hike it out???
I feel like us smaller, more responsible portion of society has to make up for all the careless idiots who will never change. Thank you so much for bringing and filling bags. People like you really make a difference. Thank you ❤️ 🐟
Fun video, but I was wondering how it works with regulations regarding preparing the catch on the boat? Aren't you supposed to keep the crab shells in case Fish & Wildlife pays you a visit? Honestly, I'd love to prepare everything on the boat so I don't have all that fish guts and crab parts rotting in my garbage can at home. We used to crab right off Camano State Park beach using a rowboat dinghy and cook it right there, I agree it is fantastic.
I believe the regs actually exempt retention of carcasses if the fish is being prepared for immediate consumption. So you still can't fillet your fish on the boat and leave without the carcasses if you're taking it home. I would probably just recommend to hold on to any carcasses in a bucket until you're done eating the catch on the boat, then dump them. Nothing illegal there.
Bro! I caught a nice cutthroat trout today at an urban lake in lynwood. My first fish.where nobody was catching anything!!! Your vids are fuego 🔥 and im learning alot. Thanks!!!!
I checked out your ' Gear used ' section but you didn't list the boat type and size . I've seen another of your videos to where you used a smaller boat with a soft top on it . So what boat and size is this one that you used here ?
Hello new subscriber!! :) Thank you, that means a lot to hear, I have big plans for ocean cleanup one day but for now I just clean what I can while I’m out there 👍🏻 glad you enjoyed the video!!
NW Fishing Secrets same! I’m an brand ambassador for a company who focuses on beach clean up and guess what! I literally just signed up for my first ever fishing license in my state (NyC) :) so excited to start learning how to fish.
Now that's two exciting things right there!! Tell me about this beach cleanup company!! And congrats on your first fishing license. I know very little about fishing in NYC, but I'm sure there are some good ones out there..... 🎣
Try pretty much ANY sandy bank in the Puget Sound between 30' to 120' deep. Summer and fall is easier to catch them than winter and spring. When they're there, they will bite pretty much anything! A boat will definitely make it easier to reach the required depths 👍 Hope that helps!
Great video as always! The crabs you caught are all Red Crab and have no catch limits as they are an invasive species. Male or female, cook 'em up and enjoy!!!!
That looked like u guys had an amazing day out on the water!! Even though u had to gag for awhile! Never been crabbing before, but I love eating snow crab legs & king crab legs!!! (used to at the casinos before COVID happened anyway) Also never ate flounder before, they don't look like they have much meat on them, but maybe I'll try some someday...
First Premiere! Had a great time watching with you all!!! Thank you! 😊

Almost every video you’re cleaning up something out of the water. Much respect ✊.
Thanks, I try and do what I can 🤙 All about just bringing a trash bag and spending 5-10 minutes cleaning up.

Good episode. I enjoy the saltwater adventures as well as fresh. You laugh like a Viking! Great spirit brother! Keep posting!
Absolutely love all the videos that show you cleaning up where you can. Even if it’s not yours, leave the place better than you found it!
Thank you! And that’s how I see it too - you leave the campground cleaner than you found it 👍🏻 🎣
So true about memories...I love this video. You do inspire me to take my family out more.
Mike Martinez means the world to me to hear that 👍🏻
Finally bought a boat so I can enjoy fishing, crabbing and shrimping in the sound. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with a newbie!
Also, THANK YOU for helping to clean up our Sound. I hope that more people take your lead.

Wow! I’m starving for a fish taco! I’m 200 miles from the beach so it will have to be a crappie taco! Yum yum!
Looking forward to fishing Puget sound for the crab, flounder combo. Tend to be in the same habitat.
Ah crap, I forgot my tongs at home.. nah it’s cool, I have pliers in my tool bag lol

🤣
Love your videos! Curious as to what boat you have?
I'm in a boat club, but the boat I use the most in my videos is a Jeanneau NC 695 Sport. Great little French vessel! 😂
Also make sure your pot hits the bottom before you let the buoy go. We learned that one the hard way.
Liked the video and it went from 2.9k to 3k! First time that’s happened for me and I’m excited
This is the best video EVER. I'm laugh crying every time you gag. :)

Check out some special fly fishing areas only. No trash
I bet those areas are pristine. Fly fishermen from what I've seen seem to respect the environment more.

Hi, I am keep watching your videos on UA-cam. If this water-surface of Puget Sound showing in this episode is good for Kayak Salmon fishing?
Is there a size limit on flounder ? Please let me know thanks in advance love your videos

Yep, always freezing it from here on. storing it in a bucket at 90degress is not a good idea 👍 🤣
Now that’s a taco!
Bro, most delicious ever 🔥
Why are the crabs that you caught not moving? Every time I catch them off the pier they are moving rather fast, trying to escape or trying to claw me.
ok, I'm hungry now. tyvm

Where do you get these crab traps. I live in switzerland and cant find them anywhere. Do you have a link or something.

Those were huge rock crabs! I actually do prefer the taste of red rock crabs better but usually let them go cause they are pretty small most the time.
😂 this is funny!!!❤❤❤
Years ago a buddy made some catfish bait from rotting milo. Works fantastic but 😮 you couldn’t get within 6feet of it.
We use rotting cat food and lingcod bait for our shrimp post. Its god awful opening up the individual cups that we store them in.
