You hit the nail on the head. I hope eventually bluetooth improves or gets replaced. My most recent issue was getting a dualshock 4 controller working on PC. It simply wont set up by BT. It detects, but no games recognize it and InputMapper doesn't either. However if I plug it in USB, everything just works. But then I have to have a USB extension cable so it's long enough to sit back with. Then it can easily come unplugged. I guess that's what I get for not using a standard PC controller.
And before anyone suggest 360 controller, I have one but I prefer dualshock over 360 because the left thumb stick and dpad are in their proper places (in my opinion).

They've also removed features from Bluetooth on phones these days, years ago on my old Nokia C3. I was able to allow my friend to browse my files when he was in range. This was awesome cause he had a phone with a tiny storage and i had a huge memory card, so he'd use my phones storage wirelessly at school to swap the music on his phone with music stored on mine and I didn't have to do anything. I use Bose Soundsport. Got them in 2018. Battery life is still like new. I expected, and still do, about a 3 year lifespan for these little guys. Used them to watch this video. I don't experience 99% of problems that the majority of bluetooth users experience. The 1% problem I experience with them is when I'm in an active phone call using the buds and pass through a certain area near me that I know has fancy pants traffic cams. I am able to go about 400-500' away from my device (Samsung Galaxy S10) before I begin to have dropouts followed by device lost. That 400-500' is inside an automotive shop filled vehicles and their stinking RF/GPS broadcasting/fetching signal constantly. So, I'd say, after using these bose Soundsport (the ones that have the wire connecting each bud) that I've got it pretty good. The only time use a wire is for IEM when I remote monitor an audio mix.

I got a fast phone with a headphone jack and I don't have a notch. Also, I don't got the problems that were covered in this video, with either my phone, tablet or laptop. So I guess, happy me😄
Riley's Glorious haircut is back, Love it.
I love Riley's rants! The cringe he goes through while talking about the cons of a product feels so good to watch.
Good Ol' Riley........Our original "Wired Device"

So you want him in your jack?
Oh, my...
Why is youtube notifying me about an unlisted video?
it wasn't unlisted before
This video is unlisted? I guess that might explain why there's a chain link is up near the views spot.🤷
riley : talks about latency.
Latency : i have been summon.
great job editor. thumbs way up
Girrrrl, you hit the nail on the damn head! Bluetooth has been around way too long to be having all these problems
I have absolutely 0 issues with Bluetooth. I use a good phone an good headphones and speakers. Instantly connects, 0 connectivity issues, even on a rush hour train station
Not sure if they have already done this, but in the same train of thought:
Why receipt printers suck
Why wireless printers suck
Why TV receivers suck
Also:
0:04 "WHY BLUTETOOTH SUCKS" in the subtitle
Why receipt printers suck: in all fairness... they don't, but they are overworked haaard, i used to do support for pos you have no idea how badly people treat their hardware
Why wireless printers suck: they got a lot better in recent years, i dont remenber having issues on my recent memory
Why TV receivers suck: because they are bought in bulk for the cheapest possible
The idea of receipt printers are pretty cool tbh
Wireless printers doesnt suck tbh, they are handy as they get updated in windows update itself at least with hp that is
Printers are the devil, just don't use them. Digital all the things!
You can say wireless printers are bad until you work at a company with more than 5 employees lmao.
This is on time as heck, ive just spent 3 hours trying my pc connect to my headphones.
I can with my raycons and it’s easy to pair up and fits in the ear perfectly. And it has a range of 6-9 yards
@@user-gq6dg7ee6d buy a Bluetooth adapter

What i don't get. Is why blutooth works flawlessly on my phone but my 1800$ pc can't seem to connect my headphones no matter how much i troubleshoot. I hate it.
What a fun video. Enjoyed your rant. I do understand the technology hurdles and complications under the surface, but watching your video tell me: Users DON'T care. They just want stuff to work like magic. We still have a long way to go...

So true! I have a lot of bluetooth devices and each have their own issue. Latency, range, pairing issues... what not.
Thanks for making this Video! Seriously!!!!
Many times in the video I felt like hitting the like button, This is pure classical music to my ears.
this is why i want to have a headphone jack
If anyone wondering.. the audio track is out of sync. For actual.
Id rather buy a USB-C Splitter.. but yes Jackstik FTW.
Three point five millimeter jacks still rule!
(Even tho it's nineteenth century technology)!
@@ChristopherHudetz so is charging it by cable

Remember kids: WIRED > WIRELESS
Seriously. My only complaint is the usual $10 decent ear buds will short easily. I'd go through 1 pair a week while doing construction projects listening to music while I worked from a phone in my pocket
unless we're talking logitech g pro wireless
this thing seems flawless
all of my friends are like "eww whyd you go so cheap on a wired headset, mouse, and keyboard". THIS IS WHY. THIS IS DAMN WHY. BLUETOOTH IS SHIT. I WILL ALWAYS HATE AND AVOID BLUETOOTH.
They did a video complaining about why jack should be dead, and now are repenting.
Facts
No delay on Airpods. No latency.
cuz apple uses other signals with bluetooth to help (if you're using airpods on iphones)
I feel as if Bluetooth file browsing like that could still be super useful ngl
Watching this wearing a Bluetooth headset lol
same no problem with sony wh-1000xm3
Ditto. No problems here
Ya same my Samsung Galaxy buds have no lag
Yup "#me too" No Bluetooth problems. In fact , I turn on my 7.2 Yamaha home theater receiver with it. Love Bluetooth😘!
@@pandasdreamlygon it's not the headphones, it's because UA-cam can account for Bluetooth delay.
can't even pass through my leg
If Mustache Riley delivers my rants, i'd take them straight to my veins.
As someone who lives in rural Alaska... I've never had signal connectivity issues. No interference and no range issues. Literally didn't know this was a complaint with Bluetooth.
Bluetooth was great in the 2000s. We'd spam pictures to unsuspecting victims at bars. No way to do that now. Sad

1:47 I'm very happy about this. I'm not a huge fan of how Wifi just constantly blasts out information about "HEY! I'M HERE, WANNA TRACK ME?"
You can turn SSID sharing off though
@Félix Sánchez Same with BlueTooth, sooo...
You're still transmitting data via radio, you are inherently broadcasting your existence to everyone within a certain radius. Bluetooth just does the equivalent of a WiFi router not transmitting the SSID by default, which if you ask any security expert, is an effective countermeasure against baby's first time running Wifite but wet paper towel against any malicious actor who knows better.
@@wallythewall600 That is a good point Wally.
I guess I was just under the illusion that stores who now use wifi to track your steps for marketing purposes, might not go through that effort. But then again... The tools they use probably don't care either.
This guy has the best personality for videos.
*Laughs in LDAC/Aptx Adaptive with a range of 50m*
Seriously, grab a BTR3k, a long range transmitter that either has Aptx HD/LDAC +and+ Aptx LL, and you'll find it incredibly hard to go back to wired listening.
Probably one of the most informative rants I've ever seen 😂
I have a Bluetooth keyboard so i relate.
And in addition, I love the keyboard having to reconnect while gaming.
Why are you gaming with a bluetooth keyboard. Why would someone use non wired pc peripherals!!!
@@drieshuybens4594 Don't have anything else and was a gift xD
@@drieshuybens4594 wireless pc peripherals aren't bad for fuck's sake, they're expensive tho if you want to not compromise on speed, example: Logitech G502 wired mouse, costs 90 euro, Logitech G502 LIGHTSPEED is 150 euro, for essentially the exact same product, but wireless (and wireless is even faster than wired in this case somehow)... wireless keyboards generally suck tho and I haven't seen one in my life so they're not that popular ESPECIALLY for gaming :/

The only time use a wire is for IEM when I remote monitor an audio mix.
i love this format. very relatable and cathartic
