I'm not just comfortable with the word 'pay' when it comes to tithing and giving to God. Papa Abraham gave tithe from the spoil. It was not demanded. He did it once as led. In the New Testament we're enjoined to give cheerfully as each of us purposed in their hearts .
TITHING IS NOT COMMANDED IN THE NEW TESTAMENT AND ADOPTING IT AS A FORM OF GIVING UNTO THE LORD IS ACCEPTABLE, BUT CONDEMNING OTHERS FOR CHOOSING NOT TO IS VERY WRONG. QED
God bless dady Bishop David Abioye. And God bless you too for bringing this up.
What a new dimension of first fruits as narrated by Richard Takim which invariably make biblical sense.
Let's diligently seek our LORD through HIS SPIRIT to understand the truth of the scriptures and the power to rightly divide the Word of Truth.
Shallom Shallom!!!
The bishop's sincerity is commendable but it's dangerous especially in this time and season we are in not to know especially for someone in an influencial position like him where people look up to you because deception can carry them away but thank GOD he has said he is studying about it. Thank you sir for the video and thank GOD for apostle takim presentation.
Timothy 4:3-4
For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; and they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
Malachi was not talking to the congregation, but the priests
Are you not a priest,a royal priesthood for that matter
New revelation .Tithes tie us to God.😮😮😮😮
Big lie about the Apostlic teaching on Tithing.
What do you people expect from a son of oyedepo abioye? 😂..i will never trust anything that came from oyedepo
Perfectly said.
Oh ooooo, why?
@@tee-totheroyalty8763 why what? My beloved brother open your eyes you will see ...is like telling me now that my dad is an armed robber...sentiment will not let me believe..I know how it is
Fathers do not cut covenant with their children.
I ❤ dis truth
There is no victims in this their game...i believe God gave them over to false prophets
As father as the son
Tithing is endosed by testimonies.
LIES.😮
Can someone tell me how the tithe is transfered to God? When the pastors collects it on God's behalf does he now transfer it into God's account in heaven? Na wa o!
What about billionaires who are not Christians talk less of paying tithe. How does the tithe connects us to God?
Do fathers cut covenants with their children? Was Malachi addressing the church or the priests? How is he reading the Bible? Did Abraham pay from his property?
And you think Abraham never gave anything until he gave the spoil of the war? It factual to think that if it wasn't a practice, he wouldn't have given that to Melchizedek when he.
Point of note is when we say there's no where Abraham gave tithe apart from the spoil of war. We should take note, that there's no other place the priest appeared in that form to Abraham physically in that form. That incident was significant. Not because of even the tithe, but because of the personality Melchizedek. Worthy of note is that references was made to tithing in the old testament severally. God himself mentioned the word tithe. The only arguement most people have is under the new testament era. So don't ever mistake that it was only once Abraham gave that thing after the war with the kings. It became a practice in their time that God approved. Abraham gave birth to Isaac then Isaac gave birth to Jacob. It must have been a practice that Jacob observed from his father and grandfather. I'm not surprised when Jacob made it a vow to God in Genesis 28.
The bottom line is, let each one walk within the context of their scriptural persuasions
They only read Malachi 3:10 but cannot start from the beginning of Malachi 1st to the end.
Is it only money that qualifies as tithing?
Please help me out. Imagine Melchizedek's outstretched Arms to bless Abraham first before Abraham gave 10th of the spoil.
What is our present day pastors giving out to congregation first before expecting their thither.
We have lives of people to value not material things. We have society to re-shape, re-defined for holiness and truth as believers of JESUS CHRIST being referred to as 'the Light and Salt of the world not focusing on monetary tithing.
TITHING SHOULD NOT BE COMPULSORY FOR CHRISTIANS
Bishop David Abioye argues that Abraham paid tithes from his business proceeds, but this claim is inaccurate. Genesis 13:2 states that “Abram was very rich in livestock, in silver, and in gold,” yet there is no record of him tithing from these assets. The assertion that Abraham’s tithe to Melchizedek (Genesis 14:20) came from his business is misleading. Abraham gave a tenth of the spoils of war, not his personal wealth. Additionally, his act of giving followed Melchizedek’s gesture of offering him bread and wine, suggesting a reciprocal exchange rather than a mandated practice.
Bishop Abioye further claims that tithing is a generational obligation because Abraham tithed from the spoils of war. However, this argument lacks biblical support. Abraham, the father of faith, did not establish tithing as a continuous practice, nor did he tithe from his livestock, silver, or gold. Moreover, there is no scriptural record of Isaac, the son of promise, tithing any portion of his income or business proceeds.
The Bishop also suggests that God will not protect or bless those who do not tithe. However, the examples of Abraham and Isaac contradict this notion. Both men were abundantly blessed by God without any record of tithing from their business proceeds. While the Bishop boasts of his own regular tithing, claiming God’s protection and blessing, he fails to address the reality that many faithful tithers in his congregation are poor or facing afflictions. According to his reasoning, God would be unfair to these people.
The issue with prosperity preachers like the Bishop is their failure to recognize the various ways believers invest in God's kingdom. Some pastors claim that God did not protect Job because he did not tithe. They teach that God blesses and protects only those who tithe, suggesting that believers in the Bible who sacrificed their property and lives for Christ were not truly blessed.
Scripture contradicts this belief. Acts 4:36-37 tells us that Barnabas sold a field he owned and donated the proceeds to the apostles. If the Bishop’s claim were true, Barnabas would not have been blessed or protected. Many believers today dedicate significant portions of their income to missions, charity, and other godly causes, yet prosperity preachers often fail to acknowledge them as faithful.
Tithing was never a law for Abraham, nor was it part of his covenant with Jehovah. Since believers in Christ are spiritual descendants of Abraham, they are not obligated to tithe. However, Christians are called to give generously to support God’s work, as 'God loves a cheerful giver' (2 Corinthians 9:7). A great many believers love the Lord and are investing significantly in the Kingdom-through donations to the church, missions, charity, supporting church staff, and other areas. Contrary to the beliefs of the Word of Faith movement, God acknowledges their contributions and pours His blessings upon them.
May the Most High bless you for devoting to study to show yourself approved, rightly dividing the word of truth.
You know the truth but don't want to say it.
Help me say it please, it may not be the one I know.
Srry brother but I won’t say he says the truth but playing safe and we all know why cos he used to belong to a system tht taught and collected first fruits aggressively. Now he no longer know what he taught and believes for many years while he was with oyedepo or he’s now trying to unlearn what he used to believe??? Nawa ohhh…these pple are very subtle and they know what they are doing, Shalom.
@@brightaa7150 no, winners don't teach or collect first fruit. Tithe? Yes. I still give my tithe. We don't give to get, we give because we have received of the lord. And so as a sign of worship we give. Sometimes usage of word as in "pay or give" can be misinterpreted.
Yes Abraham was already rich when he met Melchizedek coz he even said he could not take anything from kings. Read Gen 14:23.
My dear Bishop Abioye sir, you are not preaching the truth of scripture sir, but sentiment. Jesus never validated tithing sir. Abraham was already wealthy before God meant him even before he meant Melchizedek sir. The new testament encouraged free will offerings sir. Tithe makes no body rich sir. Concerning first fruit, he decided to doge it. Guess he is afraid.
@9:21 let's not play mind games here. The opposite of the word weightier from the dictionary is lighter, less significant or trivial and that is exactly what our Lord Jesus said. For us to be still debating this now means we have indeed forsaken the weightier matters .Secondly you can't say Abraham's warfare business. Abraham was not a military contractor he only went for a rescue mission.
Of course, I don't expect anyone to have answers to everything but let's consider the Word: As many as are les by the Holy Spirit are the sons of GOD".
Let's focus on the directive of the Holy Spirit.
Can't we fellowship precisely on the truth of the scriptures?
Majority of people are not dumb, everyone is happy to give gratitude unto GOD so I look forward to a congregation where money will not be mentioned.
Brother Zac Poonen (CFC) in India has conditions outlined to his congregation before giving in the Church such as:
If you are owing people, don't give.
If you have not cared for your family, don't give.
If you are not born again, don't give.
Etc etc etc. Google to know more.
Can't we conduct services without focusing on money.
Abioye just keyed in to what was existing without following 1Tess 5:23 like Damina until he search deep the bible (according to Damina himself). How can God call and sent one with vague information on trending issue as first fruit. He needs to study Hebr 7:11,12 & 5 on tithe otherwise he will continue as a false prophet.
Point of correction sir, that pastor koredo is not a winner pastor, he broke out long ago.
Thanks for the correction my brother but I said He was from the same Winners, this means the same thing you have said. Bishop Abioye tactically is doing his own ministry now but he came from Winners just as Korede. This simple statement should not be causing so much stir.
Jesus never validate tithe
The Lord Jesus Christ and His Apostles never paid any tithe. The church should follow the teachings of the Apostles.
@chioma_chinedu they are not interested..all these juju priests that ran into ministry with some of their juju practices
Abioye is a son of Oyedepo the mammon lover master. They only know Malachi 3:10 but doesn't study from the beginning. He's been brainwashed by Oyedepo's doctrines that aren't from the scripture.
Any Pastor that is always arguing about tithe and offering is serving mammon period, in Acts of Apostles they gathered and shared, but in recent times they gathered for the set man....., children of God aught to support the work of God cheerfully not forcefully.....pls Pastors prepare people for rapture and not for earthly pleasures....shalom
These criminals are not preparing anywhere..they are building their mansions here on earth
Chris!!!😎
@ChristianOkafor-q4o u like vawulence Oga... calm down.... 😂
@@EndTimeTruthTv yes my brother...they guy is talking about pastors preparing for rapture and I hit the nail at his head.... Jesus said in his father's mansion there are many rooms that he is going to prepare a place for us ...while oyedepo and all his spiritual sons are busy building their mansions here on earth..is that a lie? ..do they look like people preparing to go anywhere? ...I know you will not answer this one hahahaha
@@MercyofGod..79 my brother, had it been i knew that I know today, these people will not shop us like this ...they really shop us mugu in the name of touch not my anointing
Tithe is a symbol of our entire partnership and covenant with God. It goes beyond our proceeds. It covers every aspect of our Christian life. It's a symbol of what ties believers to God. Jesus Christ himself is the tithe and the first fruit because He is the law and the fulfillment of the law. We as believers must have that same mind; the mind of a living sacrifice, thank you.
How is Jesus Christ the tithe? And if he is our first fruit, why do you keep giving first fruits to your pastor? Haven't you heard that the law has been abolished because Jesus has fulfilled the law?
What's wrong with we Christians that we can't follow the practices of Jesus and His disciples? Did Jesus or His disciples ever pay tithe or collected tithe from anybody? Why can't we follow simple gospel?
People could be funny. I could see people blaming Bishop David Abioye for saying the truth. Okay, do you want him to lie to you.....
Very straightforward and simple discussion but people started shouting. If you know it all, congratulations to you but, stop blaming him and face your business.
You will think you know everything until you are saddled with leadership responsibilities.
Bishop David Abioye is respected for that simple truth.....
@@babatundetoyese1961 which truth did he say here? Put that truth in bracket then I will send you 1k usd via the owner of this channel...
Abioye is speaking his mind truth but not the scriptural truth.
@chioma_chinedu but how can a grown up man of his age in ministry be speaking like that? Many years into ministry yet stumbling with the scripture
Point of correction, korede komaya said what he said at COZA not at the winners chapel. I have observed that you are kind of biased towards the winners chapel but it's fine.
I am biased towards the Winners Chapel? Another story from another angle. When some accuse me of holding brief for bishop? Chai! Anyways, thanks for your opinion.
Obviously you said what you didn't mean. To be biased towards someone is to favour the person. The opposite is to be biased AGAINST the person. So you meant he was biased against Winners. Be that as it may, it appears you are too quick to read intentions into a mere error. If you want to be sincere, would you say that Oyedepo has not preached or taught some errors contrary to the Bible?
@ademolaadeleke2002 thanks for the correction, I attend winners chapel and I understand balance when preaching, yes oyedepo may have made statements that may be termed erroneous but he has never been what you people termed him to be. Maybe the tithe thing with Job's illustration, but that's all. But every other thing is according to the scripture. Just attend the church once, but COZA is not the same as winners, and just yesterday God still shows me from the bible why I need to pay tithe. Forget the word usage pay or give, the heart is what matters.
Lastly,we are using what bible scholars came up with to interpret a book we claimed is spiritual. So no more Holy spirit dimensions after the Apostles? My ways are not your ways said the Lord remember?
@@ajetpremiertutors my friend, he is never biased against the winners family. U are getting the whole thing wrongly coupled with sentiment. I am a winner too.
@@EndTimeTruthTvGood evening sir, it's not an accusation, it's two brothers talking and one pointing out something with the other having the same right to say no it's not or yes it is. If I see you as a biased lopsided blogger and not a Christian. I won't even watch your video. I am here because I have listened to you over time and I see that you are balanced. That being said, you are not perfect as I am not too.
You can check out my comment down here. Maybe I should say you got your statement wrong about where korede komaya said what he said. But he's a bonafide son of Bishop Oyedepo, that may be cause of your winners reference.
But sir on a more serious note,
Let me ask you a question sir, Do you think there's any part of the bible that should be removed or discarded?
Korede komaiya has his own church. He used to be in Winners but he has his own church now called The Master’s Place International Church and I have NEVER heard Bishop Oyedepo preach that nonsense Korede did.
Like father like son. Oyedepo is famous for saying Jesus died because he didn't pay tithe.
@@SamuelAdewale-lt3kn Please stop lying against anyone. Even you disagree with his view, must you lie on what he didn't say.
@@johnomonayin8971 why not search for it on the net before concluding. This is no lie. If I didn't hear him, I wouldn't bother with it. Even his son said the same thing in one of his preachings.
Please don't mis-inform people about the book (48 laws of power), the adjective you have used to describe that book is absolutely wrong. You may not like the written work in it but there is nothing in it to suggest it is demonic. Afterall I am aware that some people use the psalms from the the bible to carry out demonic practices (Pastor at Salvation ministries ones referred to demonic psalms written in the bible). Please take away personal bias from your videos. I come in peace.
Please beloved anybody who does not pay tithes and dies in in that sin of not paying will definitely go to hell as along as that person is born again. The Bible regards such one as a robber not paying tithes is robbery and no robber will cross the gate of Heaven. Thanks
Don't worry since our Lord Jesus Christ and his disciples will all go to hellfire because they never paid tithe anywhere. I doubt why you people don't have a simple understanding that is clear from the bible you read. They will just brainwash you people until you suspend your thinking.
Don't worry since Jesus and all His disciples will all go to hellfire since they never paid nor collected tithe from anybody for one day. Christians lack simple understanding of the gospel. We keep exposing unnecessary ignorance.
Obviously you have written your own Bible.
You see these creatures called human beings, fear them. Just 10% to the course and programs, visions/missions of God that loves you that much to the point of giving his life, and they're arguing up and down, here and there. I have never seen any creature of God that are as terrible as human beings.
Some of them bring money that is ten times bigger than their tithe and spend on strange women, in the bar, etc.
Okay, you don't want to pay tithe, stay with your opinion and leave others who want to pay, no!
Thank God for that Statement of Papa Above, those Christians who don't believe in tithe, sit back and watch their lives, you won't need much preaching on tithing.
As a Christian You are comparing yourself with unbelievers whether they pay tithe or not. Do you know alters those unbelievers service. Now one of your own altars is the altar of tithe, and you are making arguments about it here and there. May God help Christians.
@@ugwumgborrichard3533 tithe is for upkeeping of the priests cos they do no extra job...now they are driving private jets like 2 or 3 not to talk about the mansions and cars ...they used the money of tithes to open businesses up and down like oyedepo and co ...who is fooling who now? ...the much you know God as a Christian you claimed to be cos I don't see you as a Christian with this your statement...so God will love members who don't have private jet to be paying tithe to these criminals with 3 or 4 private jets not to talk of their mansions...what kind of God is that? Besides you think these criminals are men of God? ...sulleman was boasting that during covid 19 while people are dying and complaining of food to eat ..he bought his 3rd private jets..you call yourself a Christian.....go and read what Jesus said about the poor widow that dropped her last coins ...if you can explain that verse for me , then I can reconsider you as a Christian
You are making unfounded presumptions. So to you the only way an unbeliever can be rich is to have an evil altar somewhere! The only way you can have pure riches is through tithing! That is your conclusion. I really don't understand why some of you want to have the cyberspace to propagate your beliefs about tithing, first fruits and all what nots, but you don't want those who disagree with you to have their say? If you don't want any of your teachings to be challenged, restrict them to your churches. Ensure they don't get recorded and posted on social media. Anything that comes to social media is open to being supported or being challenged. Why are you intimidated that people are challenging your ideas. Noone stops you from going on with your tithing and you are not using anybody's money to tithe. But you have absolutely no right to stop or bully anyone in the social media to make comments against your teachings. Truth fears no challenge. I remember listening to Oyedepo mocking other church GOs for executing father to son succession. But when he retired Abioye and Aremu and people were saying it was in preparation to hand over to his son, he said people should mind their business and not meddle into other people's affairs. What was he doing when he was making comments about other churches then? They want to comment about others but it hurts them when others talk about them! That is hypocrisy.
@ademolaadeleke2002
That is where our problem lies, we're always thinking about ourselves, what we can get out of everything, even everything we do for God. Can't you give tithe into God's kingdom to help advance the Gospel/God's kingdom, whether He makes you rich for doing so or not. Sir tithe is not ritual for getting rich, what kind of love do you have for God, that giving Him 10% out of the much He gives you is a problem for you. Then compare yourself to those Muslims who kill themselves in other to kill others for their so called Allaah. I wonder how God feels when He looks down on earth, and discover there are people who love somethings else and can give up much more for some certain things and personalities than Christians love God and can give up or sacrifice for Him.
Next argument will be that it's not God that spends the tithe money. You know who you give your tithe to, God, give it to Him and leave the judgement of how it's spent between him and the spender.
@ugwumgborrichard3533 you wrote long epistle here, who among them is preaching the gospel?
Fathers do not cut covenant with their children.
