Next up for Top Rank Boxing, Naoya “The Monster” Inoue will make defense number two of his undisputed super bantamweight crown against former world champion TJ Doheny on Tuesday, Sept. 3, at Ariake Arena in Tokyo, Japan.
This special five-fight extravaganza will stream live and exclusively in the U.S. on ESPN+ starting at 5:45 a.m. ET.
In the co-feature, WBO bantamweight world champion Yoshiki Takei (9-0, 8 KOs) will make his first title defense against former WBC flyweight champion Daigo Higa (21-2-1, 19 KOs).

As much as I love a nonstop back and forth war like Gatti vs Ward, seeing a technical genius like Inoue is also so exciting.
Tank himself said inoue is good and he loves to watch him. Seems like a lot of casuals think they are better than tank in terms of boxing since they are calling inoue trash.

@@marq_ Tank is more or less the same height, maybe slightly taller. But you need to know that their body frames are very different in their youth. It takes time for Inoue to put on weight. If he was big like Tank in his teenage years, we probably don't see Inoue like this today.
Some of you all really say Inoue hasnt fought anyone. Most of you Americans only knows boxers that fights in US soil there are a lof of great fighters that isnt popular. They are champions for a reason.

Marlon Tapales' style is under-rated. that low stance is incredibly effective as a slow paced defensive stance.

Tapales actually did well until Inoue got in rhythm
he not under rated in any way...he is just an ordinary fighter. Nothing special.
He should have thrown a lot more jabs and he needed to throw more, and with more aggression when he had Innoue the ropes. He was too hesitant.
Innoue throws almost every punch with intent to put you out.
I think tapale had a better chance if he would have earned innoue's respect.

People keep saying Inoue doesn’t move his head and his defense is bad, I don’t see that. I think it’s actually pretty good, the western boxers would move their heads like a circus performer and forgot that they are a boxer and don’t punch at all, I think that’s useless defense. He had a chance if he didn’t go back to the high guard in the last two rounds. He lost focus. He was winning with the shell.
Though Tapales lost, but he gave a shock to Inoue. This is one of the best fight of Inoue among his opponents.

Favorite fighter. Watch his tapes, he’s the best boxer to learn from. Of course, he has his god given speed and power, but the impressive part is how surgical he is and smart in breaking ppl down for that climactic knockout.
Tapales is full defense. It's like he's afraid to punch, he only throws puny jabs. Inoue took advantage of this opportunity to slowly destroy him.
The opponent is also a good fighter.

@vamoneygroup Casimero ducked Inoue he actually refused to fight him. Inoue offered a match but Casimero refused citing he wanted more money even though he was the b side. Guy is just fooling all you Pinoys, Casimero is very average when you compare him to Faulton, Nery or even Tapales these guys atleast beat some good opponents. Casimero's only good win was Zolane Tete who was a cheese champion.
