The truly demoralizing thing about Inoue is not is his remarkable power and speed (which are demoralizing in a different way), but in how he reads and sets up his opponents. He seems to know what you want to do even before you do, and shuts down your plans before they can trouble him. He does it here it to Moloney, he did it most famously to Fulton (nothing hurts out-boxers more than being out-planned), and he'll do it to any high-level fighter who prides himself on his technical ability. Ironically, I think Inoue would have the most trouble with a reckless, careless fighter who throws randomly or does extremely unorthodox maneuvers (someone in the vein of Augustus Emmanuel, who managed to confound Floyd Mayweather Jr. for this very reason).

The great thing about Naoya Inoue is that in order to check the trajectory of Doheny's punches and the movement of the punches in the 3rd and 4th rounds, he purposely lets Doheny hit the ball, and blocks with his hands without dodging to understand the power, etc. He goes down to the corner and makes Doheny come out hitting it! Then, when he saw the distance between Doheny and Doheny's punches, he threw combination blows all at once, causing damage and forcing the opponent into a corner, preventing the opponent from being able to do his own boxing, and by striking, he would be targeted. It makes you think that you can't do anything. Doheny was physically and mentally worn down, heartbroken, and had no choice but to withdraw to avoid being KO'd!😊

That Dasmarinas fight was brutal. Being on the receiving end of those kinds of body blows isn't something you can understand unless you've been hit hard there before. The pain is exquisite.
