Thanks for the video between Buzzsprout and Anchor. I own a travel agency and want to do podcasts on travel experiences, etc. Can I use my business name for my podcast and if so (or not), how do I protect the name of my podcast? What are the steps to take to ensure I protect my podcast from being stolen?
Hey you're very welcome, glad you enjoyed this video! OK, so the answer is you can use your business name, but you really want to use a word that SEO rich, uses keywords, etc. I actually just recorded a video on picking a name this week! Watch the video here: ua-cam.com/video/0pctJv8HCpA/v-deo.html You definitely want to do research on the name to make sure it isn't already being used. In the US we have copyright laws (I'm not an attorney), but basically, if you are using a name and creating content, you are automatically granted protection for your creation. I don't think you should worry about having your podcast stolen as long as you're creating original content with an original name. Hope that helps and thanks for watching!
You can certainly prerecorded and upload the audio file to Anchor. I think it's better than nothing, and it's free! But as I mentioned in this video, there are some downsides to free hosting 🙂
One of the benefits of Anchor is it's free to use and you're able to run ads immediately. Here's the thing, as a new podcaster you probably don't have a ton of listeners yet, so you're likely not receiving any money because you don't have the cpm to make it relevant. Instead of monetizing with the ads on anchor, id recommend sending your traffic to a website with some shirts to sell or maybe a patreon page with some exclusive content 🙂

Haha, thanks for watching and hope the videos help you excel. The pop filter probably isn't necessary, but I like having it, and who knows. Maybe it made one of my P's sounds better over the past 3 years haha. Whats your mic setup?
Just subscribed. Thank you for this information. It helped a lot.
Thanks Carlotta! Honored to be part of your journey! Reach out any time!🙂
Great video - I’ve been looking into podcasting and Anchor seemed too good to be true. Thanks for avoiding me find out the hard way !

You're welcome! Have you started your podcast yet?!
Why not position that mic in China ?
Lol, not that type of mic! What do you think of the audio quality of this video?
Sounds like you’re yelling from across the street. Those dynamic mics are designed to be a few inches from your mouth.
Good info tho cheers.
@@justicemoody thanks for the feedback! I've haven't had any complaints, that said, I think it's important to be start with what you've got and focus on constant improvement. Take for instance this video vs my first!
Thanks for stopping in and thanks for the constructive feedback! ❤
Thank you very much
Thanks for watching Charlie! How's your podcast going?
I podcast from south and my host is Iono.fm and the service is fantastic

@@MarkSavant The packages are limted in three ways number of channels and administrators episodes per month i can have 50 channels 500 episodes a month or a total of 7500 . Administrators 10 I have seen that other hosting companies limit by files size or total time. I only have two channels my number of accesses is 2203 as of 9th July last year.
@@MarkSavant the BBC And VOA are on the same hosting they are in Cape Town and I have no problems. All our local Radio Stations use this service. Including The SABC
@@richardnicholls69 very interesting. Sounds like a great option when starting out. As you grow, it may bottleneck you a bit. Is it free to use?
@@MarkSavant no pay 405.00 rands or 25 us$ a I can upgrade where the total episodes are 15000. 1000 per month per channel iono.fm/rss/chan/4503

How to make my podcast with copywrith so that people dont stell it and for anchore i think it s great for someone who dont have money isnt it
I m afraid i mean i dont have an ig nor twitter so getting popular with my podcast is just a long road but i m gonna do it . Thanks for the tips wish you all the best with your youtube channel ✊✊✊💪💪💪
Thanks for watching and leaving a question! I'm not a copyright attorney, but it's my understanding anything you create is automatically protected by copyright. Now you may consider trademarking your show name / brand / logo, but I don't think that is necessary for most shows.
You definitely want to lock in your show name on all the social media channels, and maybe buy the domain as well.
Thanks for watching! 🙂
@@MarkSavant thanks you a lot for answering me . Wish you all the luck in everything you do .
@@roum9 same to you, thanks for watching! Look forward to your future victories!
Hope you’re still active with your podcast. If you need help for establishing your ig or twitter, I can help you out 😊

So what you should have said was this was a video to say why you do not like Anchor. Being honest up front would have been nice.
Thanks for watching and leaving your thoughts Michael!
So did you feel like you have to watch more to get the answer? If I gave you my opinion right away, would you have stuck around??
Was hoping for an honest review. Clearly not
Well thanks for watching! I've gotten a lot of feedback from Anchor users! Actually transfered one of my shows to the platform!
I still stand by Buzzsprout. After trying 3 different platforms, this is my preference for the reasons stated before!
