This video was super helpful! I learned that both Anchor and Buzzsprout are great for getting my podcast out to places like Spotify and Apple, but Anchor tracks all my downloads without making me pay extra, which is awesome. I also didn’t realize that knowing where my listeners hang out, like Amazon, could change my choice of platform. Plus, I love the idea of using video for podcasts with Anchor; it seems like a game-changer. Thanks for sharing these tips! Can’t wait to start my own podcast.
Thank you. I'm always looking for videos that get right to the point and give me the info I need. So many include other fluff and rambling. Very helpful
hiii Ive was trying to go with anchor but now anchor is a part of Spotify and thers no UA-cam videos on how to have an account on this new anchor-spotify hosting platform date of this comment 26 July 2023
Great video, very informative. There's an echo of your voice which overlaps what you are saying, but I guess it can be sorted with the use of a microphone. I'm new to this and I'm still trying to wrap my head around it. How is this different from just creating content and uploading it directly to platforms like UA-cam and Rumble?
Yes darling agree with audio issues - room is super echoey and needs some buffering and music competing with yiur voice - hard to understand you - and thanks for great video
In an untreated room, having the mic on screen closer to you far outweighs the esthetic of hiding it. Your audio would then be less reverberant. Hearing the room plus the audio background doesn't help, really.
Thanks for the video and all the info. Definitely would suggest getting tons of sound blankets on that space to reduce the echo. Echo is so difficult to deal with in post. Best of luck.
That is true but the same goes for most hosting platforms - I don't tend to worry about not owning it though- I see it the same as website domains... we only own them as long as we pay the fee each year. The only time I would be concerned is if the hosting platform you go with isn't reputable. Part of the reason that I leaned towards Anchor in the end is the fact it's owned by Spotify (very invested in the podcast industry) but Buzzsprout is super reputable too. :)

This is super easy to understand. I was getting overwhelmed with all the tech. Thank you!

Thank you, Sophie! This was immensely helpful about uploading podcast videos 💖
thank you this was so helpful!!!
Enjoyed this…I’m with anchor now & was thinking of switching!
Content was bigger than the echo 😊 thanks
Ahhh I appreciate that! So glad you found it valuable ❤
Podcasting is hard thanks for your perspective of each platform.
Great video, wish there was no echo, made it hard to understand some parts.

Great information, especially liked the dynamic advertisement idea but Lacking in audio quality.
Fantastic advice. Thank you!
Nice work Sophie. This was very helpful, even for me who doesnt have a show right now.
Thank you Cathy! That means the worldddd
I can't get past the echo room. Wish I could have watched the rest.
This video was very helpful Thank you.
Does Buzzsprout support video podcast?
Great insight Sophie, thanks ✌🏻
Good work, but please work on the audio quality, that will help to gain more subscribers
True! The audio is not great and she has the music background to loud compared to her voice. But awesome information 😊😊😊
Yes I agree, I am improving in upcoming videos- I appreciate the feedback!
@@sophie-wilson very nice 🙂 👍 keep it up you are doing an amazing job

With spotify taking over and messing up anchors record with friends is buzzsprout a better option ?

That's a great point! Thanks so much.

u got a new subscriber, good info, just improve your audio! 😀
I'm on it! Thanks so much!
The audio was so bad I had to stop listening. I subbed to your channel and would love to hear what you have to say, but please work on the sound.
I know someonethat can help you with your echoe .. he has 4k nikon and top video recording . Also extremely affordable
Thanks for the video. Are there any downsides to Anchor? I heard you don’t “own” your RSS feed, as opposed in others? Is that true?

Thank you.
Good info, but hard to take a show about podcasts serious with such poor audio.
🎉
Anchor used to be so fantastic… And then Spotify completely ruined it.
If you are so into podcasting why have you recorded this in such an echoey room - it’s almost unlistenable.
Terrible sound, loud echo sounds
Podcast studio owner; also worst microphone quality imaginable
Thank you for this! Very helpful.
You are welcome!!!
