This was awesome, very cool roof rack and you defeated the mini van!
Never let the mini van win! Thanks!
That ratchet looks like a beast! Gotta get me one of those.
It's great for unruly children.... I mean CARGO 😅
This was extremely well made! Thanks for posting! I currently drive a 2023 Bronco Sport Badlands but am looking at something that can tackle some of the more extreme trails out here in Arizona since I have blown up the bottom of my car trying to hoon it through the forests and deserts out here haha! This is great!
haha thanks! Yea, you'd get quite a bit more clearance with the Big Bronco. But trust me... the adventure in you will just have you trying bigger obstacles and you'll be busting that up too haha. Trail Rax just released a rack for the Bronco sport actually! Link and discount code in the Description of my video.
That thing is dope. My only issue with racks is, I LOVE to drive with no roof. These kinda make that impossible. Harrumph
You can still take the two front panels off. That's all I ever take off. That and the doors. I never bother taking the back off.
@@NorthShoreOverland that is definitely intriguing. Doors off is really the major thing that makes it feel awesome. Hmmmmmmmm
@@NorthShoreOverland you being up as far north as you are and if you don't have a garage to put it in it makes a lot of sense not do that. I've been able to keep my top off for going on 6 weeks now here just south of the Twin Cities in Minnesota.
@@mikesveganlife4359 nice! We also have a 4 door with softop that we take with top off.
I love this! So exciting! 🥳
Thanks!
Nice work Stephane!
Thank you! Cheers!
I wondered how you had it all tied on there when i saw you driving down last weekend, that explains it!
Welcome to the roof rack gang brother 🤘🏻🤙🏻 looks great, love it!
Hope we can meet up soon bud , cheers!
yes for sure! RTT coming soon!
@@NorthShoreOverland sick man! Can’t wait to see that dude!
That image of the rusted van probably gave you even more determination haha, great rack! What size tires do you have on your rig?
@@diman585 hahah it did. 37's!!!
Appreciate the time challenge. Fun video 😎
Glad you enjoyed it
Another good video. You have a good sense of humor. Lol. I’m about done doing my homework/ research on the Bronco. I’ve mentioned in another comment to you shooting for 2024. Badlands 4 door 6 cylinder automatic no Sasquatch package. What do you think ?
Thanks! Depends on your purpose and intentions with it. If you are going to offroad it the Badlands is a solid choice. If you're going for looks, then I'd get a Black diamond and lift it with aftermarket wheels and tires.
@@NorthShoreOverland Id like to have the capability to off road. And I like the interior of the Badlands much better than interior of Black Diamond. Black Diamond is nice , but I think it’s possible if I got it , I’d think man, should have got the Badlands. Badlands don’t think I could go wrong. Thanks for replying. Keep the videos coming!
I wish there was a way to get the Pak Rax to work without the full roof rack.
You can get the Half Rack for just the back. www.avantlink.com/click.php?tt=pl&ti=8977&pw=339833&mi=22101&pt=3&pri=67
Please make a review of the deepsleep mats for your 2 door! I've seen you sleeping inside and they claim it's usable for that use
If they send me one I'll review it haha. But I can make it with a cheap aromatress so....
Thanks for the video.. FYI I sliced my hand open on unfinished part of the top 😂
That's a beautiful Bronco and setup! Just curious, what made you choose a splitting axe and not chopping axe for your overlander? Looking to buy a Fiskars for vehicle.
Thanks! Well, I also carry a folding saw in the bronco and usually have a chainsaw. I like having a splitting axe for splitting my campfirewood. And since i don't have to carry it (as in hiking), the extra weight of the axe is nice for de branching and splitting. I've actually switched to the Gerber Bushcraft axe! It's more of a splitting axe in my opinion, but it's as tough as a fiskars and looks better on my Bronco! This is the one I have. alnk.to/e76Jo45
@@NorthShoreOverland Thanks so much for the quick and detailed reply! That makes a lot of sense since you mainly use it for splitting fire wood. That helps narrow it down. I'm looking for an all-arounder that could help if I need to get a fallen tree out of the path or something. Been looking at the Fiskars 28" Chopping axe in all black. But that Gerber looks like a beast! Cheers.
@@ChristopherRobin58 That fiskars is nice, but at 28 inches it's a bit long. If you're in Canada, they go on sale at CanadianTire once in awhile. I'd still recommend and a folding saw and a camp axe. But that's me.
@@NorthShoreOverland I thought the Gerber you have now is that exact same length and even heavier. Am I wrong? And yeah, I always have a folding saw and large fixed blade when camping.
@@ChristopherRobin58 no you're right. I was looking at the hatchet when comparing stats. The Gerber axe is 26.25 inches, not 15".
Discount code on the 2x4?
Rack looks great, super beefy on a 2-door!
Thanks! Just enter IGOTWOOD at checkout 😬

You call it the best but have you tested any other heavy duty roof racks on the Bronco? Not trying to throw shade, but TrailRax has seemingly bought off every overland influencer on youtube lol. I have the RCI roof rack, its 60% of the cost of a TrailRax, has the same functionality, same load bearing saddle mounts available, all of the same accessories for it.
Oh I wish they bought me off haha. I paid for this rack myself. At the time it was the only Aluminum one I had seen that had the side mounting options. Steel racks disintegrate in the rust here. The RCI looks like a solid choice as well. Looks like the trailrax. But I don't see an option for side mounts on the 2 door. Their skid plates look solid!
can you still remove roof panels though? i'm searching for one that allows that
do you not have the 4 door anymore? that would have taken no time!
haha, yea but I wanted to take my 2 door! Mine is all geared up but we never take it with the whole family. Untill now.
Curious to know if you get an increase in road noise or whistling and also effect to mpg.
You can hear a bit more wind on the highway. But barely. As for MPG.... I stopped looking at that when I put on 37s and a 5 inch lift on a square box....
@@NorthShoreOverland Yea good point. I’m between the trailrax and RCI roof racks for my 4dr. Leaning towards RCI.
@@papaya4432 right on. never looked into the RCI. I just love the Pack rax system of the trail rax so i just had to go with them
Damn… I was rootin’ for the mini van making a come back…
@@andyackerman7123 hahaha. Maybe I'll borrow it for a camping trip anyway 😉
Is that the light bar cut out wind deflector?
It is. Lightbar install coming soon haha.
@@NorthShoreOverland right on! Thanks for letting me know! I love your videos man. 💯 just ordered a Trailrax for my 2dr base SAS.
@@bentondycus9442 Nice! You're going to love it!
