Thank you so much for sharing your stories.
I hope your program and this video, especially, reach to more people. I originally found you guys' videos while searching for ABSN videos. I found your channel extremely helpful and intellectually invigorating so i continued watching. I was considering joining for CCA not even being an ICU nurse or a nurse at all (but in the medical field nontheless).
This video on how you got started is the cherry on top. It gives the depth and dimensions on the purpose and motivation of your program. All this time I thought two CRNAs (one soon to be) trying to make money. Nothing wrong with having business and generating more income, but I'm glad to know why and how you founded this program and community.
(Btw, I'm also grown up in a religious house hold --Baptists. Going to church 4-5 times a week, yes.)

Thank you for sharing your stories! 💗 Both my sister and I “parented” our parents due to their mental health issues and substance abuse, so it really resonated with me when you talked about having to be responsible and caring starting from the young age.
    Very powerful message! 🙌

I came to your videos as a small town, rural ICU nurse looking to fill the gaps in my knowledge base, but now I'm just a full blown Chrissy and Anna Stan!
Thank you for sharing (parts of) your stories in addition to the other resources you provide!
Honestly, humanizing yourselves to us through videos like this and your other social media helps us build confidence too. Knowing a little bit about where you guys come from and how you got where you are makes it easier to see you not only as role models, but as prospective peers.

We’re so honored to share time & space with nurses. I know for me--the whole reason to show up online is to help people who are like my younger self and also to show up for our friends. I really appreciate the community so much ❤ and some of my closest friends have come from the internet! Y’all are amazing

I am so saddened by the failures of the Church in your upbringing. I too, grew up in a fundamentalist baptist church. Even went to a Christian college. Then I became an atheist because the Church just couldn’t answer the questions I had.
It has been 15 years ago since I laid down the atheism and started walking with Jesus. I had a lot of healing to do from the wrongdoings of the Church.
I want to encourage you to not abandon the pursuit of spiritual truth. As someone who has peeled back the layers on the truth of Creation and then finding out the truth of Christ, I can assure you, it is a pursuit well worth the time.

I agree the teaches of churches is not the foundation of what Christ is about. I’m grateful I was in a nondenominational church. that went solely based off of what the Bible says and tried to teach it in a non-biased way. It always encouraged us to go back and read from our own spiritual guide so that way the churches teachings could be questioned in a sense if it was not explain in the correct way. A lot of church teachings tend to pull little bits and pieces from different verses to create a message, and that sometimes leads to a message being misconstrued to push a agenda or to push the teaching in a way it was not intended to be taught. It makes me sad that these two have gone through that because that’s not what Christianity is all about. It’s not what Jesus is about at all. He actually teaches us that we do not have to be perfect because regardless, he still loves us. And then there the verses that say “obey our parents, but that parent should not bring your children to wrath.” as well as “women submit to your husband’s, but only if they are Christian men worth submitting to”. I know it tells us to “respect our husbands but that same versus says for husbands to love us as Jesus loves the people a.k.a. the church”. the church does not hold higher authority to the people. The people are the church. So I’d agree to not give up on the spiritual journey just cause a church got it twisted to hold control over ppl.
