After watching your video, I was confident that I could do this. My daughter wanted butterfly locs so we went to the beauty supply store and got the exact brand that you purchased. I was a bit nervous trying this for the first time but it turned out perfect. This style you did is so pretty and the butterfly effect turned out so good. Love it! Thank you for this tutorial❤️
Whoa I never seen that method of doing locs before that's genius. It makes it look so natural and the hair your client is using for the style came right on time.👍.Your truly a top queen of braiding. Thank you for sharing🙂💙
THANK YOU FOR SHOWING THE BRAID PATTERN!! Screaming because this is so helpful!! What a professional and thorough video!! THANK YOU!!! God bless you 🙌🏾
Thank you for saying that, some have said I talked to much in this video and I don't understand because the goal was to do exactly what you stated...so i thank you for that! God bless you as well.
My daughter has been asking me for butterfly locs but I kept putting her off because I didn’t think I could do it till I found your tutorial. This was so easy and I caught on very quickly. She loves her hair. Thank you ☺️
Thank you love, I really hope it's something they add! We currently have a GIVEAWAY going on IG instagram.com/nique_lynn/ Check it out to win a few packs of this hair!
I've never commented on UA-cam videos before. I couldn't resist this one. THANKS A MILLION for demystifying this butterfly faux loc braid. DAMN! you're good. I bet your client was excited. I wonder how you made your boxes so perfectly. How many packs of the extension, did you use? Did you recut the extensions before using? If "YES" how many cuts? Finally how did you divide the extension to fit into the 37 strands? Please respond
Goodmorning! Thank you so much for your KIND comment 😊 Butterflylocs are really cool to do but I was very intimidated by them in the beginning! So that’s why it meant so much to me to show other braiders that this is definitely a style we can add to our list of services. The chart in the video details the pack information. I did not cut the extension, only split to make it thinner. Also, for the parting method it’s just something I learned through repetition but I doing have a beginner parting guide ebook that would work rather well for Butterfly locs niquelynn.com/shop/beginnersguidetopartingboxbraids
I like the messy/uniformed look. My hair grows out fast in braids and gets straight, so in two weeks it looks bad to me. But with this style it covers that.
You are absolutely phenomenal 💕. I live the way you take your time and show and explain! I am about to do this to my daughter’s hair! Thank you so much 😊
This looks beautiful 😍. Quick question, does putting the cubin twist hair within the loc stop the curly hair from sliding as the weeks go on? I'm asking because everytime i do my own butterfly locs with just the curly hair, my locs slide in the middle. They look so pretty in the beginning and then once I start styling them the hair slides no matter how tight I twist them.
Very good question. I saw another UA-camr do it and just decided to do it that way as well. For some reason when I’ve braided the Marley hair into the actual hair it seems to make the loc stiffer, so I’ve noticed that doing it this way makes the loc a little more flowy if that makes sense 🙂
Do you use rubber bands to secure your braid pattern? I can't tell. I really enjoyed your tutorial. I installed butterfly locs in my daughter's hair using another tutorial. For a first-timer, I think it came out alright & she likes it. I want to try it again using your method.
Thank you so much . I had stop doing hair but grandbaby said she wanted butterfly locs for her birthday. Well damnit I guess granny doing hair🙂😂😂.thank you
Is it possible to braid the Cuban twist in her natural hair, instead of braiding her natural hair then braided the Cuban twist on it? Wouldn't it save more time? When using the water wave should I fluff it out as well, and how many strands do I need to use?
Hello this is beautiful I am preparing to get these now. Do you have to use the Cuban texture hair for the base or can I use a pack of regular braiding hair? Thank you!
Thank you, I have done it to, you kind of to wrap tighter around the base and then loosen as you work your way down. Not too tight at the base just enough so it doesn’t unravel
Thank you so much. That’s actually a great question. When doing a retouch you can do it two ways: you can take it down and redo it OR you can just redo the root. I talk more about it in detail in this video here ua-cam.com/video/Gh5uQEfApJg/v-deo.html
I did my daughters hair like this for the 1st time but i used the locks that where already done then wrapped them they are sooooooo stiff omg idk what i did wrong but ima do them like this next time cuz they really cute on her an this looks much softer

Hi so the one pack of beach hair did you need another pack or did you just need that one pack
Is my first day to like a tutorial like this 😳😍😍😍😍👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽 good job
Yes! Thank you!
Very nice! Is there a reason you didn’t braid the Marley hair into her actual hair instead of braiding her hair twice?
Very good question. I saw another UA-camr do it and just decided to do it that way as well. For some reason when I’ve braided the Marley hair into the actual hair it seems to make the loc stiffer, so I’ve noticed that doing it this way makes the loc a little more flowy if that makes sense 🙂

What if the client doesn't want glue what can you use as an alternative and how do you remove this style can you make a video for that to please ❤
Do you have to add the braiding hair if your natural hair is already thick and long
It looks very beautiful but what is the name of the gule an the spray that you use
Super easy 🎉😂
Good morning 1/13/23 I appreciate the chart it is nice to hear a clean how to with examples 🇯🇲👋

Can I braid the cuban twist hair from the beginning with real hair? Or do I have to braid the real hair down first then add the cuban twist?
just for clarification,, we should avoid hair washing while we have this hair right?
Yes
Why am I just finding this video🥴... you are the 🐐. ... ur tempo, ur technique. I LOVE IT. #newSubscriber
Awww thank you!!!!!!🙏🏾
Is it possible to braid the Cuban twist in her natural hair, instead of braiding her natural hair then braided the Cuban twist on it? Wouldn't it save more time? When using the water wave should I fluff it out as well, and how many strands do I need to use?
Yes that is another option, and I have it done it that way as well. Yes you should fluff it out as well, I'd say probably 2 strands
@@NiqueLynn OK. Thank you!

does your hair have to be long to get butterfly locs? my hair isnt as long as the client but i still want them
No your hair doesn’t have to be long at all! ❤️
Hello this is beautiful I am preparing to get these now. Do you have to use the Cuban texture hair for the base or can I use a pack of regular braiding hair? Thank you!
So professional 🤩🤩🖤

Thank you I really appreciate that
😍
How many packs of each did you use?🤔
About 2 packs of the butterfly loc hair and probable 1 pack of the Cuban twist
Very very nice. I tried to do these but I guess I wrapped them to tight at the base because they were stiff.
Thank you, I have done it to, you kind of to wrap tighter around the base and then loosen as you work your way down. Not too tight at the base just enough so it doesn’t unravel

hey ! what would you tell your clients to maintenance it? im planning to try this style soon n want it to last for a while !!
Hey, I tell my clients not to pull on it too much or to over style it just so they don't loosen the wrap.
Thank you so much for this! I appreciate you going slow and letting us see it fully. Now I got it how to get that look
Heyy, I was wondering how many packs of hair did you use ?
Yes, I'm curious too!
1 pack of Cuban twist hair and 2 packs of butterfly loc hair
