Girllll ikr❤
your kind comment made my day that much better! so glad to help 💜
I feel the same way 🥰
@@thechicnatural yes. And when you say two hours for me that may mean two days!
@@adayinthelight7575 😂
I appreciate that you put install, review and takedown all in one video, that's so helpful and in less than 11 mins, thank you so much 🙌🏽❤️
This right here 💯
Yes... You don't have to wait for the third fourth or fifth video, lol☺️
For real ! She is the MVP 🙌🏾
I cant braid 🤦🏾♀️
Absolutely beautiful!!!! Wow 🌺you are so skillful. I wish you would do my hair. Loved your video. Thank you.❤
Love how she showed everything from the installation to the removal 😍💕
I agree, that was the best part.

GOOOOOOOLD!
Yesss she always includes the removal, so key!
Even the removal?!? Girl, you always do the top best video tutorials ❤❤❤
I love how you show us the FULL treatment in one video. The install, maintenance, and removal all together saves so much time!
Love this. Do you put anything in your hair before starting( oil, leave-in)?
@@peachygege5184I recommend detangling, washing, and moisturizing it before you start. When you take it out use oil.
Who went to the hair store today after watching your video last night? Me...me sis! I love this braid pattern. I always do a row or 2 across the top ear to ear but that horseshoe looks like it will give you more versatility! Thanks for sharing. This will be my vacation style!
I found my trip hairstyle for under $50 and I don't have to pay someone over 250 for this style, Thank you!!!! I'm so happy I came across your video by chance.
My thoughts exactly!!! This is a beautiful, quick, and inexpensive style!
I pay 150 and that includes washing, blow dry, and get them in my hair
Absolutely love this gorgeous style! You look beautiful 😍 SN: If you are in a rush after washing the locs throw them in the dryer on delicate for 15-20mins woop woop! Also, locs can be reused! I was throwing them away until I realized I could take them out wash them with wig shampoo and a bit of fabric softener and then reinstall 🤣 save some 💰! Learned this in quarantine lol. Thank you for sharing this tutorial!!!!
Good to know they can reused.
Yours is an outstanding comment! That is precisely what I’m going to do! Whoop whooping! ✨🙌🏾✨
I would have never learned how to do box braids, if it wasn’t for your UA-cam tutorials. Your videos are so helpful.
I love how easy you make your tutorials look. This looks like something I can actually do myself. Thanks for this video.
I loved how you took time with each step and showed us everything. I wish you did online classes!!!! You are a wonderful all natural stylist!
At first, I thought that this would be a difficult thing to do, because I am not good with the crochet thing. But, after watching this video, I feel a little less nervous about trying to crochet again, Thanks again for another great video! Your video on Summer box braids was the first hair tutorial that I ever watched. I'd been wearing wigs consistently without taking them off for longer than to replace them with another. I wanted to learn about braids and your video taught me how. Now, I have been doing box braids for 6 months and I am loving it! Thank you!
Asked for a tutorial for this style after seeing it in your New York Travel Vlog. So happy you posted!! This is why I fks wit you, you always giving us home hair braiders real game and styles we can try to DIY. Been watching for over 5 years and you never ever disappoint. Like never.
This is such a cute hairstyle and will never go out of style! ♥️
I don’t even have hair to do these styles (twa) but I absolutely love watching these videos. They are the best quality hands down with showing and explaining what’s going on. Thank you so much for your quality and effort. My 18 y.o. daughter is natural and uses many of your tutorials as well so our whole family loves you.
I absolutely love when content creators take us on their hair journey. 🤘It's easy to just show the finished look, but it helps us to know the maintenance that's involved and what it looks like weeks later. Thank you!
I LOVE THIS!!! I’m far from a professional stylist but want great styles. Thank you so much for showing us beginners how it’s done❤❤❤❤
I just drove my local beauty supply store but they do not carry this hair, however, I was able to purchase it on eBay. I can’t wait to install it!!! 😊
Thank you for not only showing the braid pattern but exactly how you did it super super helpful!!!!❤️❤️
Wow this was right on time!! I tried these locs for the first time the other day! I got them done & got so many compliments. So this is my go to style now. You posting this right on time cuz now I can do them myself!! I always learn easily from your tutorials!! Thank u!!
What type of hair did she use?
This morning, I just completed installing this style in color 1b/27. It turned out gorgeous!!!! Thanks so much @thechicnatural ❤
You are most welcome Shavon! 💖
@@thechicnatural i always crotchet under the braid, interesting you do it THROUGH the braid, any reason why?
@@thechicnatural you look like nia long
Once again another masterpiece hair tutorial. I was so happy to see you in my notifications, it’s always enjoyable to see that you’ve uploaded, because I know it will always be a good quality video.❤❤
You are so talented…I’ve been watching for years and have learned to do my first box braids from you 🔥🔥
I love how you showed everything from cleaning the hair to install and removal. Great job!!
I have never seen you before but I see why you have over 2.2 million followers. Best tutorials ever.
thank you so much, that's very kind 💜
First, the outcome was gorgeous. I 'm definitely trying this style on my daughter. Second, great video! Really detailed yet to the point. Exactly what I look for in a tutorial. Thank you so much!
This looks so easy! I got 90% of the way here on my own but hiding the braids in the crochet hair really does keep it looking nice and neat, I'm going to be living in this during the summer!
Love how she showed everything from the installation to the removal . You always make styles look so easy !!Another one love it.
My daughter is trying to decide whether to get locs and I think this hairstyle is a good one to try. Thank you for wonderful content!
You made this video at the perfect time! I'm planning on getting my hair done next Saturday and I'm getting my hair crochet with faux locs for the very first time. Thank you for showing me how this whole process works, now I feel better about getting this hairstyle.
Kim, thank you for this. You make achieving this style as well as all of your styles, look so easy and I truly do thank God for you, because as I'm really just starting to embrace and take my natural hair journey serious, I'm always drawn to your channel for everything that I need to help me along the way, without being complex, and over the top like some natural hair journey youtubers and I truly do thank you sis🙏🏽🙌🏽❤
You by far have the best video for beginners and the easiest strategy! HANDS DOWN!! For doing them on your own head because all that perfection isn't really needed unless your trying to please a client and even then is unnecessary because your style still rocks!!!!!
That was awesome! My 15yr old is always asking for new hairstyles. This one looks super easy and not really time consuming with a gorgeous finish and easy removal. Thank you so much Sis! Sending her this video now...
I found this video just in time! I just bought some for my daughter but I didn't know how to install them. Your pattern is not complicated and it works well. Soon as you said vinegar I was thinking but the smell and you responded to my thought instantly with its not going to smell haha thanks for the tutorial
You always make styles look so easy !!
Another one 🔥🔥🔥 love it
love love love how you hid the individual braids!! All the other tutorials I watched ( dozens & dozens !!) tell you to use some marley hair to wrap each braid to cover them!! I was like "that's so much work! "even if its just the front. I want it QUICK & easy, lol and wrapping braids is tedious! Your method is so simple! Its simple & your not adding any addtl weight to your hair with the marley wrap. The finished style is beautiful! THANK YOU
Any time I’m looking for a hair tutorial, I come across her page and it’s always my go to. I love the way she teaches. Self-taught (by her) for the last year
Brilliant. Perfect for my next vacation hair.
Thank you for including the braid counts as well! I’m going to try this style this weekend! Super helpful 💕
I really loved how you showed us how you sanitize your hair I didn’t even know we can do that my 6yo daughter complained The past three times about her hair itching she would cry after it gets done I was thinking she won’t ever wear braids with added hair again. I will try this one more time and use your sanitizing technique. 🤞🏽thank you
Always admire how patient you are doing all these different hairstyles ❤
Wow I am first ❤ this hairstyle is so pretty you look amazing Kim 😍😍
thank you so much Kathy!!
Beautiful work ❤ you are so thorough and each step was easily viewed and understood! Thank you 💕
Love how you went through each step thoroughly
I love how you explain every detail, from putting it into taking it out.
Perfect timing! I gonna try this on my daughters hair for the holiday season! Thank you ❤
I love the way you plaited your hair under the locs 😍 I would wear that as a style
Thanks Kim! 🤗😘😍
This is what I've wanted to for months now 🤭
I'm doing medium-large size individual plaits & adding the crotchet hair. Easy & quick style for me with all this hair ☺️
I just love how detailed you are (you stated how long it may take) You are ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! Thank you!
Thank you so much for plugging us.♥️♥️ I didn't know which hairstyle to do this festive season. I might just go for this one🥰🥰btw your hair looks so healthy and clean😍😍😍
Beautiful! You always make everything look so easy.
Love this video. This is exactly how I get mines done. I don't have the patience to seat in a chair anymore. The young lady that does mines. She doesn't believe in overcharging for it either. Great tutorial.
Beautiful!!! I love how thorough you explained EVERYTHING! Thank you
I agree that crochet loc styles last about 2 weeks. That's about how long I can keep a crochet style in. My natural hair needs my hair routine after that point- washing, conditioning, and moisturizing.
Girl, you got skills! You make everything seem so easy lol. I love your videos ❤
Thankyou for addressing the matting and knotting and how to easily Uninstall. Your tutorials help me take care of my daughter's hair. 🥰
Let me tell you something! This is the first time I will be doing my OWN crocheted locs and 40 seconds in, and Im already sold on your suggested braid pattern and simple instructions! Thank you!¡!!!
I subscribed because someone finally know how to do a tutorial! Loved how you explained everything!!
Welcome to the club. Kim is awesome at tutorials
This is right on time because I was just thinking about installing some! 🔥
Loved the full review! About the hair, the time you kept it in for, and how you slept in it, and the removal. Those details are so important!
Love how you be coming with these QUICK protective styles?! Yeeeees baby👏🏽!
ayeeeeee 💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽💖
Awesome will definitely try this for the holidays
This was amazing. I can't even do flat twist lol . This is such a beautiful style. I don't like sitting all day doing my hair 🙄
Thank you so much for demonstrating how to remove from individual plants. I have never tried this style. But because you showed how to remove them in your video I am open to trying this style now. TY. You are AWESOME! I APPRECIATE your video.
You are so welcome Raymonique! My goal is to make it simple and plain! Glad the video is helpful!
You are such a motivation!!!!
Rather it’s hair, healthy food, and all things simple… I absolutely love watching how to implement.
1st I love your videos ❤❤❤
Love these thanks for sharing gorgeous!!! ❤
Amazing, love how you showed everything even how you sanitize the hair!
All 💕 for the detailed instructions and the removal!!!! Hairstyle was gorgeous!
You never let me down and you make everything so effortless. Such a beautiful style and absolutely gorgeous on you!😉
I see it's beautiful👍
Happy Holidays to you💕💕
Very nicely done!! I love how you showed everything from beginning to end, installation and removal and even how to maintain your style throughout matting. Very very nicely done. (I do my own hair also) tutorials like this are always a win 🏆 🥇 in my book!!
Wow! You’ve got some mad skills. Cornrows on yourself? Needle and thread? Applying extensions by yourself? You’re awesome!! I love LOVE love the how you soak to sanitize, and then the idea of hanging them on the HANGER!!! Brilliant! Great video 👍🏻
Your jagged parts still way better than mine. 😂
Hey Kim! I love this hairstyle. My only problem...I can't braid. 😢
I am in awe. I can’t even do a cute ponytail. I can barely get an even part. Some people are just so gifted at being able to do hair. The finished look is gorgeous.
This was a excellent video. I love how quick it was, but you showed how quick to take it down thank you so much. Beautiful. Another great one.
Another fire tutorial to get the girls looking fabulous on a budget always here for it👑
Girl this is beautiful! But I’m not gonna lie, it would take me a MINIMUM of 12 hours to do this lolz😂I swear every other black girl I know is good at doing braids and protective styles but me🤷🏽♀️I guess my genes skipped right on over this skill
Thank you beautiful ‼️ Your video was so helpful, pulled me out of a last minute vacay crunch🏝… now my daughter has a gorgeous, affordable, water friendly style… by me‼️😍🙏 Thank you Jesus for your knowledge & willingness to share🤞🏾❤️
This video was amazing! Not only did you show the price from start to finish but you also included how to remove the hair which I greatly appreciate!!! Another 🔥🔥🔥 hair video created by you🌺 Thank you🎉
Yes! I have been hoping to find a good braiding pattern for my faux locs braid install. You came through for me. I love the look on you by the way! Thanks for the easy tips as always you are awesome! Happy holidays and stay safe!
Thanks Kim I love how you make videos that help keep self maintenance affordable. ❤❤❤
I wish I knew how to braid my hair. You made it so simple. I will try it on my daughter's hair.
Thank you sooooo much for actually showing the back of this installation!!!!!!!!!! I have a lot of hair & it's THICK! I struggle with braid patterns cuz there's so much hair in the back! I thought it would look bad if I didn't fill it in fully with the crochets, but yours looks great...& gives me hope!!!
Girrrrlll!!! THANK YOU SO SO MUCH for SO much detail and your opinion. It is everything. I have some locks over a year and still too afraid to put them in but after seeing you I am gonna go for it. Bless you 🙌 🙌 .
Loved it! Your thorough instructions are such a blessing, Sis!❤
This tutorial is perfect, from start fo finish. I'm a fan of crocheted locks and braids because it's are a great, inexpensive option for people who are on a tight budget. It's also great for people who are physically unable to sit for 8-12+ hours to get their hair done, or whose lives are so busy, that they can't set that amount of time aside. It's also great if you like to change up your hairstyle often, because you can uninstall the braids/locs and install a new set of braids/locs without having to unravel and rebraid the cornrows. It's also easy enough to uninstall and/or install, that you or you and a friend, could pop a movie on and be completely finished before the credits start rolling. Also, if you live with someone who is highly bothered by the the rogue hair left around the house after you've gotten braids/extensions done, this is a tidy alternative. I especially love the part where she shows how to wash and dry the extensions before installation and explains WHY they should be washed. I don't need the tutorials, but I'll be subscribing anyway, out of appreciation for the channel creator's high quality content 😘
Really great tutorial! I love that you showed us how to do everything, including removal. Thank you so much. I'm going to try this.
This looks absolutely gorgeous on you! Great tutorial!
Great tutorial as always AND info about your experience with the hair. That tangling is a common issue with goddess styles. I've found only adding some goddess or "loose" hair at top or sparingly with regular similar loc can help extend the style wear. Keep up the great work beautiful ❣️
Beautiful! I really appreciate you showing how to do the removal as well as install.
I swear that everything you do looks effortless! So pretty!
oh my goodness, this looks amazing and I really want to try it. I've been on a journey for about a year trying out different styles on my own, because before that I had never done my own hair. I had tried crochet before but i did individuals for my whole head (took me 4 days to finish it😭) but i'm so excited to be able to try this method. it's so beautiful and it looks so quick and easy, thank you for posting this!
You made this look soo simple and easy to do. Always wamted to try crochet braids but had a little fear doing so. Watching this, l feel more confident in make an actual attempt in doing it. Thanks girl. Love your vids. 😘
I've watched hindreds of hair tutorials for yearsal and Lafy you are by far the best number one who is capable. You are the Queen of tutorial. Also, thanks for the vinegar soak wash tip I've been doing it for almost a year and i can see and feel a difference every time i use syntactic hair less itching and irritation to my scalp. ❤❤
This is the best video I have seen for boho locs. You even showed how to take them out. 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Girl your amazing ❤ I’m putting these in my daughters hair tomorrow and I brought Afro hair to hide her real hair I don’t even need it you just saved me 2 hours this the tuck method thank you 😊
You are Amazing !!! Your thoroughness, tips, hints…. Quick but not Rushed, pleasant tone voice…. ❤ Thanks a Bunch for sharing your Talent.
Thank you so much for sharing this braid pattern. It was a great help to me. I'm a beginner and you're instructions made me look like a PRO.
You are so welcome!
Thank you for using the word “plat.” I use it and people always say “what?” 😊. The turnout was beautiful!! I’m going to try it.
