Tool for the locking strip insertion runs to the cost of 1½ metres of rubber, and given I will buy 10 metres it ain't worth the hassle not to get the tool. Especially with the perspex in danger of getting scratched if I slip with a (say) screwdriver. The hardest job I see (not started yet) is getting the perspex in after the rubber is in the caravan. Someone suggested string round the rubber (twice) and when you pull it lifts the rubber. But that means putting onto perspex first then offering up to outside of van. 2 person jobbie.
I ‘m assuming you’re aluminum skin is .030 thick? I bought the one-piece trim-lok (LK1522 for 1/16” and 1/4” glass )locking gasket thinking I could build my cargo trailer window into the.030 skin. Can you please tell me what dimension substrates your two-piece Trim-Lok was designed for? It looks like it would be much tighter than mine (which I’m just now cutting the hole for). Thanks!
I used a tire lever too! Getting the lock-in is difficult though. Thanks for the video!
This was super helpful! Thanks for taking the time to make the video

I honestly have no idea. I just looked for the same bead lock gasket I had and measured that but there was only 1 gasket on the market I could find.
Do you put any product on the gasket agains the glass and the métel? Or is all with pressure?
A spray bottle of soapy water helps immensely to get it in but it holds because the bead locks it in place
