A wonderful performance of this sublime Advent chorale prelude by Bach and it sounds absolutely gorgeous with your registration choices on the magnificent Hinsz Organ sample set: bravo, Marcus!
A beautiful rendition, Marcus. Although I've heard this piece so many times, as soon as I hear a good rendition, I'm always irritated about people who say Bach is mainly a theoritical composer. This piece shows (and of course the original cantata part) show how good he was in melodic writing.
Thanks very much, Ralph. And I completely agree: Bach was a terrific tunesmith able to transport the listener to a different dimension. Solo movements from the B minor Mass and his Passions spring immediately to mind, but there are many more examples of his melodic prowess too.
Wow, you have very much captured the Dutch style on this amazing Dutch organ! i have listened to this piece many times, as it was one of the first organ pieces that got me into playing the organ. This is one of the best performances as of yet: tempo, articulation and just amazing flow and ornamentation. I am flabbergasted!

Wow! Thank you, Tim! 🤩
... and it takes a lot to gast Tim's flabber! ;) Truly a lovely performance!
@@iangarden1898 Indeed it does Ian, I am quite ‘picky’ when it comes to interpretations, even moreso of my own performances!
Bela interpretação!
Thank you!
