My two go to’s are the gw9400 (for digi face days) and the gwg1000 (I love the updated gwg2000 but through time the 1000 version has more color combos and limited edition runs to choose from….hopefully in time the 2000 will also). They are both abc, solar, and multiband6. Difference is traditional vs digital.
One of the top Swiss brands IWC sells a watch called the Top Gun. Supposedly made with Top Gun pilots input. Yeah, $12,000. I'm sure plenty of Navy lieutenants and Lt Commanders can afford that. Maybe with their flight pay they might.

I was given a luminox pacific diver for Christmas. I used to own a omega planet ocean chronograph which I paid £4500 for used (retails now at £8500. Submariner territory). The omega was sent back to Switzerland 3 times to repair a broken helium escape valve (fault) before I sold it on at a £1000 loss. The luminox beats it hands down. The build quality of the luminox is just as good. And it isn't the most expensive piece of crap I've ever bought. The luminox in a Christmas sale cost £400.

Never Luminox. Never Timex, and seldom Seiko. Most commands alllow individual preference pending approval. G-Shock are widely accapted as a personal preference provided alarms are disabled. The only watch that is ALLOWED to be issued to US SOCOM, IDEF, Canadian military are Marathon TSAR and GSAR.

Many PXs sell a military watch wrist strap. You remove the spring bars to remove thr strap. Th3n reinstall the spring bars to lock the strap on the wrist strap. Th3 wrist strap had a velcro cover flap that covers the watch face. Protects fhe face.from scratches and gouges as well as covering the luminous dial. But of course, pull the flap off creates the noise of the velcro unhooking. But if the enemy is that close, you might not want to even check your time.
Something tells me this is all bullshit. A lot of people in the armed forces actually wear cheap digital watches like the F91W and non G Shock sports watches from casio and timex. This "Navy SEAL watch" sounds like a walmart mumbo jumbo crap.
