I was getting a spark but it wouldn't light. Gas was flowing out too. I took it apart like you did here and my tube looked clean and clear. I cleaned it out with a Qtip anyway and blew some air down it with my compressor. Put it back together and damn it works now. Thank you!!

Ah man! As soon as you mentioned "You just need to clean it"🤔..it made total sense! I actually have the exact same one as you; So after all these years of always manually lighting it? Well its better late than never. So when I came across your video: I just gotta say- MY MAN--YOU MADE MY DAY!!!! Thanks very much and God Bless.👍😉🇨🇦

great stuff. mine was identical problem, hadn't used it in years. Wasp nest up the tube, couldn't get at it. Didn't know how to service it. Your vid did it. Was about to spend $$$ replacing it. So thanks mate from Australia.

Blew it out and it works like a DREAM again. Thanks!

Thank You for this video . I am on my second unit and it quit working . It is about two years old and I keep it in my shed right next to my burning barrel . This one stopped working just like the first . I will clean both of them like you said and now feel confident that they will work. If the company was doing the right thing they would include a paper with them on periodic maintenance that is needed to keep them working properly , but hey that would cut into their profits so that won't happen.

When you screwed it back on to test it, I wondered; "what if this thing doesn't fire up?" Then it made me appreciate your confidence in what you were saying by not EDITING, which helped me to TRUST what you were saying.

5:33 Almost $50 now in 2023. Didn't want to throw mine out, hence, finding your video. Will report back if it works. I'm working from home today and it's snowy but I still use it for my charcoal grill all year round. Just have to find the allen wrenches out in the garage when I get a chance to sneak away from the desk. ;-)

No luck. pulled it apart further and the Piezo electric ignitor only works every once in a while. When it does, it feels "good". but not enough to light my torch. I'll just keep a spare lighter nearby in the meantime but hope to get lucky finding a lighter with the same igniter to swap out.
