I was using a GTX 1070/ i7 6700k up until a month ago. I upgraded the PC with all of the current hardware and I still have stutters in big cities like Tokyo and New York. I have not tested much after this update but I did notice "some" improvement. Let's hope MSFS 2024 smoothes things out.
@@denziieyYep, this is a known issue since the ram and cache just keeps building and it keeps everything stored. Using devmode and reloading your airplane at destionation improves alot of the built up cache, if youre doing multiple trips in one go.
Agreed. I'm using a ryzen 7 78003xd with 4090 with quest 3. I have stutters in all jets at 36fps locked. Only thing that doesn't stutter I a cesena at 130kts. It's totally unplayable in jets and at large airports. Been tinkering and adjusting for months, and only thing that helped was HAGS on. My cpu is supposed to ne the most powerful, but whilst it runs in the yellow on dev mode, I'm hit with sporadic red spikes every 6 to 10 to 15 seconds. Lowering settings makes it worst, and even with zero traffic, off rolling cache and all cpu shit off, it still spikes. Total fuckfest. Those threads need load balance, cus as I say, even on the 78003xd the main thread is overwhelmed. Non vr I'm kinda OK. Runs well, but now I've tried vr, I simply cannot go back.
I used to be the same about bush/GA flying man, and I still am a "big jets first" kind of simmer, but messing with some of the high quality prop planes and the smaller, private airstrips and grass strips has really broadened things for me. I mean I've been simming since the mid-90s so perhaps I was due for a new experience. Not sure how long you've been in the hobby. All I'm saying though is give the little ones a chance, and you'll be surprised with how enjoyable it is.
You know what Stephen? I've actually been very pleased with VFR flying recently and I couldn't agree with you more! I ended up recording that sponsored segment a while ago, and I continue to use it, but I definitely need to refresh it and switch it up haha. Thanks for watching, and please consider subscribing for more!
all the announced fps and performance boosts they promised I should now get 200+fps in msfs 4k its just bullshit, have a decent system and msfs will run just fine. I have been in the same boat with fsx. but I swore to myself when msfs was announced I get a decent system for it to run.
I have a 5800X3D 64 gig of ram and a RTX-4090 and I LOCK my system to 60 FPS. At 60 FPS MSFS is silky smooth and my system does not have to work so hard to run it.
As you mentioned at the end of the video around 8:36, I also hope SU 15 will fix issues without adding new ones, or as some people refer to software issues as UF (Unintentional Features) 😅
Haha I've had enough poor experiences with prior Sim Updates honestly, that I truly hope we don't have to deal with in the future. Hopefully SU15 is positive :)
We all are waiting for optimised msfs . Every update there is one thing or other . Today while landing at sangster too much of stutter. Hope they keep their promises varun .
Nice video, well researched, it's honestly shocking how bad UA-camrs recite information from these Dev streams and just mess it all up, but that was an excellent update!
Thank you so much Arthur! Appreciate all the support! Greetings from another fellow Canadian resident (from Vancouver ;)) Thanks for watching, and please consider subscribing for more!
Hope they can fix stutter with upcoming SU15. My system is r7-5700x with 6700XT, no matter what graphics settings, I always get a constant stuttering every 5 seconds after SU14. Even though I tried almost every solutions on internet, it's just nothing works. This is really annoying, and keep me back to P3D on these days😢
Hey there, I think stutters should be significantly improved with the update, at least based on what's been communicated by Asobo and Microsoft. Hope it's better than before. Thanks for watching, and please consider subscribing for more!
I don't understand how nobody understands that the performance improvements.. especialy the glass cockpit improvments, are mainly for XBox, PC doesn't have this problem. They were specifically talking about xbox performance for abut 30 mins in the developer live stream. I've been running glass cockpit refresh rate on high ever since they made the change.. and there was no change. the Coherentgtdraw stays below 1ms all the time. As it does on every single other FPS video I've seen msfs on pc. Even your image at 2.41 says XBOX. PC users are going to be mighty disappointed if they're thinking they're gaining 20 fps from SU15.
Glad they brought up the horrible performance with Su14. It’s awful and there’s a huge glitch with frame generation. You might’ve noticed it yourself and the only way to fix it is to switch your AA and switch it back
@@FlyBySimulations yeah they should be hopefully. Have you noticed any performance hits at all? Doubt you’d prolly notice considering you got a 4090 lmao
with all those announced fps and performance boosts over the last years I should be gettin 300+ fps in 4k now... its just bs.. have a decent system and msfs will run just fine

I've seen considerable performance improvements ever since SU10. Just my experience though, but I've heard many talking about the stuttering issues with SU14. Hope it's fixed. Thanks for watching, and please consider subscribing for more!

I don’t like the new flare I’m good at the Fenix witch is very really and this is not anything real
FPS is not the issue, its the constant stuttering

And performance degradation. Flight starts at 60 fps, 120 fps mid flight and then barely 30 at your destination
when i had a 1070 with msfs installed on an hdd, i had stutters too, now with a 3060ti and the game on an ssd it runs perfect

Whenever they 'IMPROVE PERFORMANCE', they ruin something else. I'm not too optimistic.
The issue with the sim is that its not using CPU on all cores for rendering draw calls, direct storage for fast loading.

yeah really nice to land when all of a sudden at 5-10 feet off the ground some stutter of a lifetime strikes and the plane smacks to the ground.
The memory allocation is significantly faster in SU15 (and 24).
A lot of the stutters will be improved, also degredation on long flights.
