While there’s no arguing the visuals are always fantastic in Trine games I feel there’s something off about this art style at times compared to older Trine games. I heard combat being an issue from a few reviews but I’ve honestly always enjoyed the combat in Trine games thus far…. does this entry take a step back from previous Trine games ? If it’s more of the same then I don’t think it’ll be a problem for me! Regardless I’ve loved this series since the first game so I’ll be ordering my copy soon !
My husband and I decided on the Trine series as our ‘play together’ games after we finished Unravelled 2. We have played 1 and are about halfway thru 2, so this will definitely be a pick up for us. Thanks for the review 🙂
I tried playing trine 1 back in the day and I got flash backs to lost vikings and I couldn't get into it. But it's good to hear this is good for fans of the ip.
I found the cover art interesting but had no idea what the game was like. Despite the few negative things, it still looks like a fun game to me. I love the artwork. I'll keep an eye out for it :)
Never delved into the Trine series, it's been on my list but I just don't see where I'd find the time to play and enjoy it. WrestleQuest and Sea of Stars have my full attention at the moment
How is the game's performance in handheld mode? I really liked Trine 4, but the graphics were really blurry in handheld, which was a shame, since the art style and the environments were just gorgeous. If Trine 5 has the same blurriness in handheld , I think I'll pass on it.
I’m not keen on the graphical style based on this video. To me it looks too much like one of those click-bait games. The characters look like an overlay on the background rather than being part of the world.
I still gotta finish Trine 1 & 2 from my backlog. I'm skipping 3 because I heard it was a not-so-great attempt at changing the series' 2.5-D puzzle platforming formula. And I've been waiting for Trine 4 to hit a sales price point similar to that of the 1st 2 games back when I bought them. But, yeah, I plan on getting to this one too after I've gone through the previous entries. Here's hoping they patch Part 5 to fix some of the issues you encountered.
Literally my predicament. I got Trine 1 & 2, skipped 3, waiting for 4 to get a good sale.....The trine ultimate collection usually goes on sale for $12.49, Trine 4 on the other hand goes on sale for $7.49 which is too high. I wish there was a cheap option to complete the series for a $2.99 discount or something.
I've enjoyed the Trine series in single player mode but I think they're designed for local co-op... "So...switch off MarioKart and Splatoon kids, there's a NEW party game in town!" Knowarramean?
Thanks for watching, liking and subscribing! Will you be checking out Trine 5?

I guess I better hurry up and play part 4.

Trine is great. Try “It takes Two”…you’ll love that as coop title
@@josephjoy2245 thank you, I’ll add it to my watch list 🙂
The graphics look incredible here

There're 5 of these already? Wow

It looks really good, I hadnt seen much of it before but I put this in my list
Do you need to have played the other Trine games to understand/enjoy Trine 5?
Probably not as each game has its own plot that doesn’t really tie into previous games besides the Trine returning in each game to summon them 😊

Does it support multiplayer with a single joy con?
