The JBL bass response is much better than the Bose at 35 Hz. In fact it's the best of any 8" battery pa. If you use the 6 band channel eqs and the 8 band global eq the sound is easily as good if not a bit better than the Bose. Both are very good but set up properly (you can store settings) the JBL has the edge and is cheaper too with a 7 year warranty. The party mode is great too.
I own two Bose S1 Pro and have no issue using the Bose connect app to do the stereo link. I play my backing tracks to both speakers and the use the two channels on each Bose S1 Pro to add two guitars and two mics. I have an iphone12 with the latest iOS with zero connection issues..
Thanks for the video. I’m solo using a JBL eon one column array (the older discontinued one) and am finding I need more sound in some bigger venues so I’m going to get one of these to supplement in those cases. Was leaning toward JBL to keep the branding consistent but the Bose is intriguing.
Hey Joe thanks for the comment. You may also want to check out the Evers 8. I’ve been using that on a speaker stand and a Bose s1pro tilted up on the ground To fill things out and it’s been working really well. Also, the new Booze S1pro has come out recently so that might be something to check out as well. I hope to be doing a review on that compared to the Eavers eat very soon I just got a order a Bose S1pro plus when I get the money lol.
I bought my daughter a JBL which is pretty good but needed to add another one, so bought her another but its been so difficult getting good balance and loudness, its probably just our lack of understanding. The app is pretty useless.
I'm playing acoustic guitar and sing, using microphone for guitar not pick up. I need to upgrade my amp, do you have any suggestion? Playing only for friends and family in small space.
Still like that S1 better then tje JBL? I`m thinking about getting a battery powered for my trio, and really need the bass to sound good. Any recomendations?
My answer may be late, but anyway. Ich you need serious bass none of the compact PAs will do the job. Get a JBL Eon One Mk2 - this packs real punch. I own both, the OneMk2 and the Compact. When we want to run the bass through the PA or bring a stage piano we have the big One too. BTW it took me several software updates to like the JBL compact. Forget about the "compact"-App. Its laggy, ustable, making ist almost totally useless - except to get the latest firmware update installed. Then to switch for the "Pro" app. The latest version of the Pro-App works with the Eon Compact and is so much better.
Yes I’ve been using one for a while now. I like it better than the Bose lately. I like to set the everse on the stand and tilt the Bose up on the ground in front of the stand. They sound good together but if I had to pick one I use the Everse. It’s bit mellower sounding, less harsh
Yeah i found the knobs impossible to use in sunlight which on its own was a deal breaker. I definitely wanna try the EV everse that was mentioned in another comment.

my Everse 8 are incredible

That’s awesome! I wish I could mark it work consistently but I’ve personally had nothing but trouble with it. Do you have any tips?
I have both
I like jbl ... 😊
They’re both definitely great I just lean towards the Bose for my particular needs
@michaelwaskeymusic yes yes
I use jbl as a speaker and bose as monotor...
Amazing sound 👌
Thank you

What mixer did you use. Say if you want reverb on your vocal and delay on your electric guitar. How would you do different subtle effe

I’m loving the everse 8 lately but any of these battery powered speakers would do what you need.
@@michaelwaskeymusic Thanks, I just bought one.
@@Hrcak1great! Let me know how you like it :)
I want to buy, but I don't know how much, and I don't know how to order, I'm in the Philippines
I’m not 100% sure how to get one to the Philippines but I’ll see what I can find out for you

Tested both. JBL has a better, fuller sound. More natural. Bose sounds synthetic.
Right on. Glad you found it useful! I’m really digging the EV Everse 8 lately
Have you tried the Everse 8??

I got the JBL to try it out and yes it horrible. I stick to my Bose s1pro and the s1pro +
Go with EV everse 8

Thanks Phillip. I cant wait tot try one out!
I tryed the jbl line aray and sold it
How bose to quit. We had 2 with 2 subs. And wouldn't cover a 100 people
Who cares about the speakers…where did you get that maroon jacket??
Your moms house
Ha, ha! Now, that's my kind of humor!
Lol. Do a comparison on bose vs ev everse 8. EV KILLS ITS
Right on man. Thanks for the info
I just watched a side by side comparison of the S1 pro to the everse 8. I like the options on the everse , but the sound quality still went to Bose.
@@nicknavarro288 sound quality on bose is ok.
I just bought an everse 8 so I can do a comp video with it and the s1pro. Stay tuned
Bose for me .. I have one s1pro
Bose made in china now so no thanks
