before I got a guitar with built in tuner I used to to tune my guitar the same as your 3rd method, I'm not good in guitar even now but I can tune my guitar though its not standard because I always based it on string softness in my fingers since in the past I don't know how to adjust string actions.
Posture is something I would leave to classical guitarists to teach. I teach contemporary guitar, which allows for personal interpretation. However I have done a lesson on how to hold the guitar more generally; ua-cam.com/video/YID9-iltoak/v-deo.html
Interestingly, I checked my clip-on tuner against a tuning fork, and it is actually mis-calibrated. Its A=440 is really A=441, not that it really matters. Now that it's calibrated, I just use it to tune my lowest E. I do the rest without, as they say, mechanical assistance-using the E as my reference, then tuning open-string octaves. Much better results.
I , we will watch later ... a blessing to more guitar lovers ...

High and low E
They are named by pitch not by position, so the top E is the highest pitch and the low E is lowest pitch.
The low E string, and the high E string. Thats the right way to cal it.

That's interesting . . . but once you start fretting notes and playing any slight errors will be lost. Even so, it's just as well you checked.
