Joseph, I’ve been a hobbyist photographer for 50 years, and have been digital, using photoshop since its infancy. I spent many years with Lightroom. I’ve attended workshops, both in person and online. That said, I think you are one of the best educators i have ever listened to. I’ve wanted to understand all the sliders, and see what they are doing. With your explanation, using the grey scale, and cloud photo, i think i have a better understanding than I’ve ever had. That was so helpful. Keep up the great classes. I’d love a masterclass that takes me from snapping the picture, to printing, to better understanding your workflow.
Hi Joseph, heard you´re forwarding feedback to the Pixelmator team, I use both softwares and they absolutely need to show White Balance in Kelvin (at least as an alternative) Thanks for great videos!
Great classes! Thanks. I just joined your support group and I would like to ask why the rating of pictures seems to work only on the iPhotos library but not on the "files" type of photos it does not. Thanks
I recently came across your Masterclass video and have enjoyed and learned a lot from them. I am certainly no professional, but I am enjoying using Pixelmator Pro and Photometer to clean up a bunch of scanned black and white and color photographs. One of the problems I have run into is cleaning up the reflections/glaring on eye glasses and windows. I have seen You Tube videos demonstrating how to do this using Adobe Photoshop, but nothing about using Pixlemator Pro or Photomator. Any chance you could put out a video demonstrating how to do this? Keep up the good work and I am looking forward to your future videos.
Hi. I’m new to photo editing. I heard Apple has acquired Pixelmator. Is it better to purchase pixelmator now or wait to see what Apple does with this program?
There’s a couple of new menu items in the File menu that seem to suggest there is some interoperability supported for flags and ratings (e.g. bringing in rated images from Lightroom), but this doesn’t seem to be documented anywhere.
As a relative newbie to post production, I just downloaded a 7-day trial of Photomator. I was looking forward to exploiting its asset management tools and trying out its much hyped capabilities, but I've already hit a wall with it when dealing with colour negatives I digitised with my DSLR. I don't see a way to remove the camera's colour profile or apply a lens profile and more importantly, nor do I see a straightforward way to remove the base film colour when inverting. Are any of these procedures even possible in Photomator and am I expecting too much from this program (I've not even looked for any stitching and stacking options)? Maybe I should simply revert back to plumbing the depths of Darktable's abilities?
Are the Photomator adjustments the same as in Apple Photos? For example highlight recovery in Photos is not as good as LR/C1/Neo/On1/DxO. Compare using the slider side by side. So douse moving the slider in Photomator reel Apple to move that same slider, or is it a different algorithm?
no renaming photos possible in Photomator, either in batch or. individually?... also no folder and file management, capture date changing or smart albums. I can understand it in the Apple Photos side, but also in the file browser feature?... hardly a replacement for other offline digital asset managers we can use. Still, room for improvement now with Apple support. Let's do this!

That is incredibly kind of you to say. Thank you. You've made my day.

Nice, was waiting for it!

I haven't seen the same issue. In another thread someone said that the iPad app is different from the Mac app, but I haven't tested it.

geo tagging is a must have for travel photography (at least in my book); I can't away from lightroom yet.

Do you clear the star ratings from the old photos when you bring more photos to your library? Or how do you manage that work flow?

I'm actually not sure. I haven't done a deep dive comparison on all the different apps.
Can I add labels or keywords?
Ophotomator 3?
It's in the works. I always take a break at the end of the year to recharge.
Organizing features not impressive. Lacks quite some functionality, like keywords, labels, meta data edits. For this I stick to my Excire.
