If you've ever had the opportunity to drive a bus conversion, you'd truly be amazed at how easily they glide down the road. Effortless to drive would be how I'd describe the experience.
Bloody beautiful. At my old company, had chance to drive one once, I can’t even describe it. Go in to the shop to ask about a promotion, guy from safety walks me right out to the coach, asks if I need any help, I said ‘give me five minutes for the buttons and I’ll be good’. They are so much easier to drive, than it is to describe it.

While Emerald is nice, you should look at a much nicer rig like a Newell. They are 45ft quad slides, 600hp Cummins, and a rear steering tag axel. Newells are 63k GVWR.
Newell coaches are nice but, they have a quirky design that I'm not too keen on so, I personally prefer the design and style of the Prevost motor coach.

Thanks for showing us your "Rebel" side by not taking off your shoes, Andre you rube! I can understand these units being desirable for big-time race drivers needing to have a home 24/7 at a track for a week or two. But I bet those folks fly to-and from the events, going home or to PR events and staying in hotels, not continuously riding the roads between gigs. Non-racing folks that have the bucks to afford one of these, instead travel by air and stay in hotels wherever they go. Much more efficient and comfortable. I had a friend of mine haul a luxury trailer around the country w/ an F-350 diesel and said the trip was rewarding, except for the reality of camping each night with the Great Unwashed. Most fellow campers were great, but there seemed to always be a few bad apples. Then there's the traffic, road construction, weather, etc. that can always challenge the fun. He saw a few of these behemoths at campsites and on the road, and when speaking with the owners, they had more money then God and just thought a cross-country trip was on the bucket list. He also said he has seen many more showing up on the used vehicle market than he ever saw in use. Then there's the size... You would practically need an Air Traffic Controller to assist you through a McDonalds. Sounds like an over-rated fantasy to me.

yep seeing other ones going for 2.2-2.5million. them not listing the price is a bitch move. its not like it will deter anyone who has the money to buy this rolling bank vault. a fifteen year old one with 150k miles goes for 300k. that engine isnt even broken in yet at 150k.
As most of us RV owners know, Prevost has a big problem!! That SS siding is glued on and they’re famous for coming unglued and there’s no true fix for it. The other major drawback is that there’s no slides.
Pretty sure your wrong on both accounts about this coach. 1:22 slides are open btw. They do have the SS panel coaches with delamenting problem..just break out another 80k to fix..

It all depends on how you have it constructed. Some converters have these TV's hidden away in a box that protects them from damage. Emerald coach is new to the conversion industry so, they are still learning besides, these coaches are all custom built.
I have seen videos from other manufacturers ie: Marathon, Liberty, Featherlite and they say that the solar panels are not capable of producing enough power to charge the lithium ion batteries to justify their installation so, I'm quite sure that these solar panels are being used for another purpose!
@@overlord5580 The solar almost certainly is used to power "critical" items if the bus is parked for an extended time. Probably a few vents, water recirc, and basic lighting. So if its in long term storage it doesn't need to be connected to shore power. It keeps the generator from auto starting as much.

The difference between a typical DP and this one is the difference between winning a scratcher compared to the PowerBall. Cause that is what it will take to buy and maintain it. I would have to sell my current Class A to replace the batteries on that one.

Nice coach. But the drive axle combo max weight allowed is 34-36,0000 lbs (depending on the spread) and 12000-14800 on the steer (depending on the axle and tire rating). That brings the total to 46-48k max. If the weight is more than that your looking at overeight tickets and getting parked.
Out of my pay grade. If you have the $$$ why not? Great looking bus. It's over 2 million. The shell alone is over 750K. Most of these converters are very secretive about price and some require non disclosure statements. They have to make a profit and it is a really really really small market. Millennium and Liberty are the two biggies. Emerald is another one not as well known but been in business for a while and they do a fine job on the conversion. I own an 06 Wanderlodge and the systems are the same sans new technology. Bus standard build. Great review as always.
I enjoy your videos and trust your reviews HOWEVER, I have to bust your bubble this time. Iowa Wrecker service make a better RV that is a WHOLE lot easier to tow if it breaks down and if it developes an issue while on the road while still driveable, you can take it to ANY truck stop or semi repair center and get it fixed while eating lunch inside. With a Prevost or any other RV of that style, the mechanic has to access the interior of your RV. You should check them out and do a review of them.

This is for rich guys who go to specific places.. where they can get full service. Probably have a maid come in every day as well. But Roamers make sacrifices in luxury for capability. The biggest one being space.

The handle on the right hand side of the wheels is actually a retarder control lever. On a B500R Allison its basically a giant torque converter built into the rear cover and planetary set that works reverse. And boy will they stop one of those busses no problem real quick.

Thousands and thousands of service $ on a coach that costs up to 5 million dollars, being built by people making a few $ above minimum wage. Lol

Have a look at the Liberty Coach. The nicest exterior paint in the industry and my personal choice if I ever had the funds to buy one of these.
