The part where Trixie was begging Lucifer to tell her her dad wasn't dead because she knows he never lies broke my heart...

I think they both care about each other as friends. Lucifer really care for Dan, I think Lucifer care for him as another brother.
It did really become a brother vibe. Lucifer just gave Dan shit because that's what brothers sometimes do instead of saying they care. The show does show heaven help the person or persons that hurt your brother, even if you gave them grief.

When Lucifer and Maze went to avenge Dan it was a really great moment for both of their character arcs. I think they both did it for Trixie as much as for Dan, and it proved both of them felt a selfless love. I really like how all the characters developed over the 6 seasons. Lucifer and Maze are the standouts (for me), but all of them grew and changed so much. I'm sorry it has ended, but I'm also glad they didn't keep going and ruin it.
For real they matured so much over the seasons especially Lucifer.
Scarlett Estevez (Trixie) was so powerful in that scene at the hospital. First time I've ever really sympathized with a fictional character. Then to basically write her off in the final season was just disrespectful.
I heard it was cus of covid and her continuing her exams or studies. idk for sure, seems like the final season was really not on part with 5 for sure.
@@sandevastated1 I think there were some strict rules for child actors during Covid especially, so it was extremly hard to get her on set. Apparently they tested to replace her, which obviously didn't work so they didn't bother anymore
Scarlett Estevez also was cast in another show as well around that time, from what I recall.

Just made me relive the moment I realized Dan was actually the best character on this show. Don't get me wrong I love everyone else. Especially Trixie and Miss Lopez. Dan though... think about how much you disliked him at the beginning. I am sure I am not alone there. Then he started to try and better himself. Become more of a comic relief type character, with little hints of something more. By the end he is one of the greatest people I have ever seen portrayed on screen. The growth and sacrifice. Just amazing.
Dan started as the "human antagonist" towards Lucifer and technically somewhat of a love rival. Then he became the comedic relief, before learning the truth and turning into the other half of Linda - she was curious about that new reality, he was terrified. But in the end, above all else, he was the "normal friend" the celestials had
Lucifer and Dan had an amazing rolling coaster of a friendship
1:32 , the fact that , that is "chuck" AKA god in the supernatural series , is gold to me.
The best, and the saddest episode all into one, Dan's death hit me in the feels, the Douche always did that.

I think Lucifer wished he didnt have to tell Trixie about her dad. He loves trixie as his own. You can see the anguish in his eyes
Especially since he never lies, and if he said that Dan was actually OK, that one moment was when he wish he did lie.
Lucifer becoming God was the best possible ending. Too bad they changed it.
The writers for this great show destroyed it with a shitty ending
I disagree.
While I love the irony, and the victory there is in Lucifer becoming God, I felt that it didn't fit him.
Lucifer is a rebel, he finds meaning by clashing against the systems, by confronting society's moral with his extravagant yet harmless way of life, by refusing to follow the Plan, the whole show started because he rebelled against his position as the ruler of Hell.
Lucifer isn't a ruler. The fact that his ending has him rebelling against Hell itself is both poetic and a testament to his character evolution.
Lucifer stood up to God for selfish reasons, and his rebellion was barely more than cosmic tamper tantrum with a nice accent.
By the end, he rebels to God's Plan, the its inherent injustice in the name of others, and do it in a constructive way.
Instead of going from the rebel to the ruler, he went from selfish and ineffectual to altruistic and effective while retaining his rebellious nature.

@@Contevent Personally I believe it should have been somewhat of a combination. I think he should have been God for a little and actually experienced what it took, realizing THEN that he needed to not be God, but to use that experience to properly help the souls of Hell. I feel like that would have been the best method of keeping the significance of everything that happened, while also putting everyone where they actually belonged. Just my opinion 🤷🏾

This and Peeky Blinders I must binge watch from e1 to now asap - my winter pastime!
The black dude isn't Michael. Michael is lucifer's twin so it's the same actor. The black guy that you might remember as Robin wood from the last season of buffy is Amenadiel, another of the archangels

Watched it last night.....crying like a baby. Daniel is gone, It was heartbreaking episode. I never thought I will reacted like I did,,,,just like they are my friends.

Yeah, the movie is called lucifer and he’s a fallen angel, king of hell. A devil. There 6 seasons and it’s on Netflix. Btw it’s 13+
