Friendly reminder that I'm speaking from the perspective of someone who played the game on the PS4; which is the platform that the game was intended to run on. I am aware that the PC port is less than fantastic but that doesn't take away from the fact that it's a real joyride on the PS4.
Meanwhile i'm playing this game with a friend and we're 19 hours into the first playthrough and i think we're just halfway into it. But that's because we're doing literally everything the game has to offer. Exploring, doing all the sidequests, reading all the info, fishing, farming for upgrades, checking out everysingle chip and pod program, exhausting all the dialogs of every npc (which btw, they change quite often), trying out stuff to get more joke endings... Point is, this is probably one of the best gaming experiences i've had in a while, probably since Bloodborne.
Have you finished route A and B ending? The game drastically changes after route B. In fact it makes route A and B seem like that was just the intro part to the main game. Literally they don't show the Nier Automata sign until you start route C.
I'm so happy how well Nier automata is doing. I honestly thought there wouldn't be anymore yoko taro games , then he came back with this and dod3. His story telling is my favourite
ValkyrieAurora: "I'm probably one of the least qualified people to make a serious game revi-" Everyone: "Imma let you finish, but your reviews are excellent, and your voice is the best of all time."
I have to say that no matter what the story is and no matter how the graphics are (which are both actually really good), this is one of the few games I've played in recent years that felt like an actual game, you were constantly pressing every button on the controller and everything felt in your control and no matter how much button smashing you do it all has a purpose and it just felt really fun, I didn't play another game until I beat all main endings it was so fun. Your channel was where I found out about Nier and I just gotta say thanks, keep making cool shit
I've been playing his games since i was a kid, but even i was surprised by everything that happens post Route B. Even long time fans are in for a treat!
This game is amazing. When we say we want innovation in gaming, this game is what we mean. It may not impact others the way it did me, but it blew my mind. The worst thing about this game is that you cannot do anything on the internet regarding it without the possibility of major spoilers. You want to play this game spoiler free
Serious reviews are overrated! (ha ha) You did a fine job of conveying your opinion AND informing people who were on the fence about buying Automata. If I had one nit to pick it would be the score at the end. It just feels unnecessary since the rest of the video is all that needs to be said. I'm looking forward to seeing more of your reviews!
Hello Sophie. I just wanna tell you that I really enjoy your videos, specially the Nier ones. I Just finished the game Automata (+50 hours) and I ended up with a looooooot of question which mostly were answer in your videos. I did not even know Nier exist nor Drakengard so thank you very much!! And btw you have a special talent (and voice :p) about making games reviews. Keep on it, you really enjoy this. Amm sorry for my english and regards from Uruguay! Bye!!
The more videos that you upload the more I become a fan of your work. This video was very well done and is better than many "professional" reviews out there. Keep up the great work.
Your video explaining the Drakengard/Nier timeline actually convinced me to buy this game, despite not playing any of the others in the franchise......I Freaking Loved this game so much. I didn't even do half of the side quests and stuff but the main game itself was so good. Also i loved the music and bought the soundtrack on Itunes
I played the game without any previous Yoko Taro experience. I ended up watching several Nier recap videos (including yours), and I'm so glad I did. Many of the reviews I watched of Automata said previous experience wasn't necessary, but I would have been very confused with Devola and Popola's story at the end if I hadn't.
I don't comment much, but I've been watching your videos for a couple months and just wanted to say you've been doing great! Your videos have been getting slightly better in quality with each one! Keep it up
I would love a remaster, or even just a port, so I could actually play them. I don't have a ps2 or ps3, so playing the older entries is impossible for me.
This is the only review I watched before playing the game and I would like to thank you. I literally cried specially after knowing the true ending and the ending in the concert.
What I've gathered from impressions of multiple people: The gameplay is fun and flashy, but if you are a person who is VERY focused on the core gameplay and you mostly look at games as mechanical things, you might be disappointed since it isn't as in-depth as some action games and can get a bit repetitive. However, if you are the type of person who can enjoy games for a lot of different reasons such as atmosphere, storytelling, music, and using gameplay mechanics as storytelling then Automata is a wonderful game EXPERIENCE that you should check out. I fall into the latter category, and I was gonna buy this game anyways since the first NieR is one of my top 5 favorite games ever. Also, I think Valkyrie should have emphasized this more, getting all endings is crucial to getting the whole story. It isn't like other games where you play the game the exact same way and only get a different cutscene at the end.
Isn't it nice when a game you've been waiting several months to play, not only meet - but exceed expectation? Especially if you're a fan of the previous entries and bar for expectations are set rather high. Personally, I never had any experience with Yoko Taro games before Automata, but I loved Bayonetta, Metal Gear Rising, and Infinite Space (ok, so that's a Nude Maker game, but Platinum still financed it's development) - and it was still a treat to have the game shatter my wildest expectations. Makes the loss of Scalebound hurt all the more, but on the bright side - I have a whole new list of Taro games to work through now that I know what to expect from him.
I had a blast playing through this. i earned the platinum as well. story was amazing, and the music, characters, and gameplay hit me on so many levels.. id give it a 10. oh n btw.. I never played any of the other games, but used this channel to catch up on the lore. thank you. You contributed significantly to my enjoyment and understanding of NieR
I'm really glad I at least learned about Devola and Popola before I played Automata. That vignette near the end of the game was so much heavier having some familiarity with those characters.
I absolutely love you and your videos! Especially for your lore summary. I was already intrigued by the trailer and the fact that this game is developed by Platinum so I preordered the black box a long time ago but you made me want to feel hyped for this game even though I haven't played the previous games :)
Good review. The hacking wasn't a problem for me because I rarely used it anyway. It became troublesome when we were forced to use it. Other than that, it's an awesome game and a truly beautiful achievement. I'm gonna play the other games set in this universe if I can because I loved it so much :)
after reading the description, I have to say that I would love to see a video where you just thought-vomit everything you feel about this game without worrying about how it will come across. your knowledge of the drakengard/nier games is impressive and I would love to hear you dive deep into your own personal thoughts about every aspect of this game. anyway, thank you for making this video! your content is excellent and I'm always eager to see more
just want to say thank you!!!!! your videos are awesome! as a fellow long time Taro fan i wish i had your videos to help me figure out his concvoulted story lines like a decade ago haha! i had to do that with way to many playthroughs that i should've done lol. i dont have any friends able to looks past graphical quality and gameplay of past titles to enjoy the breath taking beautiful story Yoko has written while drunk at bars.... hoping automata will get them into the universe, even if thats not the case im so glad to have stumbled upon your channel and watch your videos! i feel like ive found a taro yoko buddy at long last! your videos are extreamly accurate and detailed but also not to long or overkill! you have a good balance and present information in what i assume is an easy to understand package( i knew this stuff already :3) anywho thank you for your hard work and quality content hope to see many more videos in the future
I finished my third Ending and I love it so much, its definitly my Game of the Year. This Game is so amazing and fun, not on Nier 1 Level, I found that a bit better but overall its a masterpiece like the first Nier for me.
Great review :) I recently just started playing Route C and oh boy this game has got me so hooked! Thanks for your input and I'm glad to hear you had pretty much the same reaction as me :D
Okay....convinced, i´ll give it a shot. By the way, you should really work as a voice actor or something. Your voice is a gift.... at least in my ears. ^^ Have a nice week.
Did not expect to like it as much, but damn... Sacrificing graphics to push every aspect - I will now prefer this compromise over questionable gameplay, story, or music.
This is by far my game of the year, and i dont think any upcoming game will beat it. The last ending goes up there with to the moon and some of my other favorites. I am not a huge anime fan, nor did i know much about Neir, or drakengard. Althouh there were frame drops, i loved this game so much. The fighting is addicting, the story is weird and interesting and the acting is pretty good as well. I really hope i see another platinum Neir game soon. Also, great review, your voice is so perfect for this.
Never herd of Nier 1. watched your video a few weeks ago. Finally bought this game about a week ago on PC. Thanks for this video. If i may stress even harder, this is a Zelda style adventure, right down to long trips from camps to villages and bases. Lots of item collecting, "press X to continue" text boxes, 'help our village' quests, and fishing. Even desert, forest, and city "zones" and all that other kind of Zelda stuff. I wasn't expecting that at first, i was sad, and I almost gave up after 8 hours... ...but i stuck with it, accepted what it is, and I'm proud to say I am now 40+ hours deep and working out what i assume to be ending D! This game is awesome, but its not "nierly" as combat heavy as the demo led me to believe. Can't wait to finish it and then watch your story analysis so i can figure out what the hell is going on...
I haven't ever played a yoko taro game and i loved it. If persona 5 wasn't coming out, it probably would have been a game of the year contender for me. At least it's in top 15 of all time now.
Nier is a game focused on art. The story blew me away after finishing it, and only made me crave more. The game play was (kind of) dark souls esk, but way more fluid. The difficulty settings is awesome for any type of player, competitive to casual, making it enjoyable on every level. I swear this game has something for everyone! Amazing and accurate review, well done.
yes, this is my first Nier/Yoko Taro/Platinum Games game and I fell in love with it. Never had I enjoy gaming since Final Fantasy Tactics. I played variety of rpg, fighting, racing, simulator game, but Nier Automata really hit me in fun factor and emotions. Of course, soundtrack is top priorty for me when it comes to gaming and Nier Automata is simply superb in that category.
The voice of a goddess! Sorry had to mention it. The Super Butter Buns vid about the game brought me here. Better than most reviews for sure. This game is about as unknown and seemingly bizarre to me as it gets as compared to the Western RPGs I play but I might give it a go. Also did I mention that voice!? Because.... That voice.
My advice for anyone who is any good at video games is to put this game on hard. You will have a more fulfilling experience and connect more strongly with character struggles. A very worthwhile investment.
I agree with everything you said here personally I give it a 10/10. while I'm easily hooked up by a good story (or any story for that matter) I usually get bored replaying games, and often can't bring myself to 100% a game that I didn't 100% the first time (and that rarely happens). I platinumed Nier:Automata and kept playing a few hours after that, no gameI ever played managed to get a hold of me like that (also the ending song "the weight of the world" is my favorite song now)
Regarding 9S combat: i found some of his melee abilities the MOST powerful in the game. His spear moveset is especially amazing and spear throw may be the single best individual attack in the game. His pace of combat is different but overall he feels like the most tactical character to me because one his well-placed attack can be more effective than a combo string of 2B.
Suggestion: use the music from the game in the background, so when you're talking about the music, I can hear what you're talking about. Awesome stuff, though. Glad I subbed.
I've literally just finished getting Endings A and B for the original NieR (again, but actually having paid attention to detail this time), and am working on Endings C and D before moving onto Automata. Which is literally just sitting in my Steam Library. Haven't even bothered to install it yet. I originally planned on just zipping right through the game so I could get started on Automata as soon as possible, but at this point, I'm so invested into it, leaving it to play Automata is going to feel like a huge betrayal. This is not okay...
I do wish there was a few more areas to explore and a bit more character development and interesting sidequests during the 1st run but by the end of the third, this totally lived up to my expectations. Especially the more I think about all the symbolism throughout it.
This game is really breathtaking and lovely. When i completed the game it left me totally empty, the journey was a rollercoaster for me. The first playthrough i thought it was a bit depressing but as i further progressed on the game i realized how heart wrenching this was. I still can't fathom the death of **... i seriously spent the rest of the day just lost in thought. Nier: Automata is a masterpiece!
9S isn't combat-oriented enough? Use Ancient Overlord w/ at least Crit+ effect, stack up on crit chance chips, add Offensive Heal and either Deadly Heal or Damage Absorb, add Melee Defense if you can, and you got a 9S tank in normal mode. In Hard mode, I'd stack up on defense along with Offensive Heal. Overclock and Deadly Heal can save you in a pinch. Very Hard?......Well, let's just say I've never wanted to try it.
OMG i absolutely fell in love with your voice 😍 it is melting icebergs 🔥 And: You are more than qualified for makin awesome reviews Keep on with your fantastic reviews +one sub for you 🤗
Blade and Mirage pod programs make combat as 9S pretty bearable if you can't stand the hacking mini game or having to hack through hordes of enemies. Especially useful once you get multiple pods, holding the pod program button charges the skill and makes it more powerful.
soundtrack was also my heartbeat ( kami ni naru/Birth of a wish, Kami ni Naru/possessed by a disease and Simone Themes are my three favorite of all the soundtracks ) if you played the original Nier you will see ( or probably already saw it ) an easter egg character/boss :)
never played a game from yoko taro, started playing this game and it´s absolut fantastic.one of the very few games i´d call a masterpiece. i love it and i´m sad now, after 55 h playing that it´s over
I didn't get all of the "joke" endings, but I chose to "give up everything" at the story end (I hope that doesn't give too much away) :-) It felt good. I've never seen anything like that in a game before. It's definitely something that will always stick with me (in a good way imo), I'll never forget it.
First play trough 10 hours? For it took me more then 23 hours and completing all 3 main endings took 60. But yeah I like to enjoy myself and did many side quests, I thing I got 65% on my quests and 73% of the weapond stories or something. I’ll see how many more it will take to get close to a 100 or for me to be satisfied^^ LOVED THE GAME!! I can’t believe I finally got to play it… It was both so much fun and painful. I cried so much, i felt ill but it’s one of the best things I’ve done playing this game.
As someone who only knew bits and pieces of the previous games but didn't actually play any of them, I still had a great time with Automata and easily consider it one of my favourite games in a long time. It's really not all that confusing at all and even if you don't completely understand all of the callbacks you can still appreciate them as a sign the world has a crafted sense of history that doesn't feel thrown together at the last minute for justification. Seriously, Automata is well worth playing. Just don't go into it expecting a massive open world exploration game because it's not. The people I've found who are disappointed by it clearly went into it expecting something it's not intended to be.
I finally picked this up about a month ago and I'm SO, SOOOOOOO mad that this was brushed off by so many people as the "sexy robot weeb game". I haven't felt this much emotion from a game since shadow hearts 2. The only real criticism I can comfortably level against it is that I wish it was longer/delved deeper into the story. Don't get me wrong, I'm a lore nerd who loves watching videos (like the ones you put up) and reading wikis, but I'd have loved to see the characters reacting the various elements of the story that are only hinted at ingame.
pro tip for 9S if you hate hacking. Get and upgrade "Spear of the Usurper" ASAP. Holding weak attack with it in hand as 9S makes him charge it then shoot it. It's practically as strong as the laser pod program. It stuns long enough that you can spam with it. If you can upgrade the spear to max, you can randomly turn enemies into allies. If you try you can basically build an army for profit and lols.
I played first one as a random rental from blockbuster when bored. Sat down and played every ending in 2 sittings and I never understood why because nothing in it was necessarily polished but it was amazing. And soundtrack amazing. Playing automata now and I'm having best time had playing a game I think ever. I've had bad frame rate issues though isn't effecting combat thankfully. Best game soundtrack for me the music is so varied and creative.
Nice review. Question: for the multiple endings do you legit have to play from beginning to end for each one, or can you load a previous save file after finishing one of them to get another?
love Automata, never played any of the other games so I watched a bunch of "Lore" videos to get the gist of Drakengard and Nier so I'd understand the big connections. just finishing up 9S' story.
This is my first game from this maker, & I'm having a great time. During the prologue I'm just staring @ the screen like this is genius!!! It's my first 4k game experience @ that's boosting how I view it I'm afraid. It's very pretty. On a highly unrelated note I LOVE YOU SOPHIE!!!!!!! Wifey material 100%
What I really find hard to explain to others is the concept of multiple playthroughs for this game. Because for me it did not feel like it. [There may or may not be spoilers after this point. Read: yes there are.] In my opinion there are no multiple playthroughs. Even though B is the "same" as A from a timeline point of view it is a unique experience given the different perspective from 9S and his "late-game" discoveries ultimately leading to the beginning of C/D. Which is then linear until you reach the end and have to choose between A2 and 9S leading to either C or D. But thanks to chapter select after this ending either C or D (whatever you did not choose before) is just a simple load away - and then automatically including E if you choose to do so during the credits roll. TL;DR For me it feels like a single playthrough ;)
This has become one of my top 5 games of all times, i'm absolutelly obsessed with this game right now. But, i would say this game must NOT be played without playing Nier first. I played it just watching a video summary of Nier/Drakengard and i feel now i made a huge mistake. There was a lot of things in the game i only understood because i had watched the summary, and some i didn't get even with it. Specially because they introduce characters from Nier and they have their own stories related to their past, and the info about the Gestalts is scarce, you have to find it, and doesn't explain much (even when watching the summary it was complicated to get). The game itself has its story tied up when you complete the 5 endings and some quests, but for the overal gamer is already asking to much to complete the game 3+ times to see all the routes, is even more of a problem if you have to compile notes to maybe half understand what happened in the past. Now i'm torn, because i feel i absolutelly want to complete Nier (i started it years ago on xbox but got bored at the begining with the quests), but i now know all the story of the game so it wouldn't be even half as interesting... definitelly i would recomend playing Nier first, and then Automata.
Well, that helps me figure out if I can enjoy the game with just a PS4 and not need to pay for a PS4Pro. Oh, but I do have the OST, and I have to say that if you've listened to earlier NieR OSTs, you're in for a special surprise as you try to identify which songs have been, errr, given new arrangements.
I recommend using spear or gauntlet when playing 9S. Focus on primarily attack damage and critical chips, and throw those spear and gauntlet all days. More efficient and, in my opinion more fun, than fluid combat of 2B and A2, and almost never have to hack anything except what you're supposed to.
GOOD STUFF GOOD STUFF GOOD STUFF GOOD STUFF GOOD STUFF GOOD STUFF GOOD STUFF GOOD STUFF GOOD STUFF GOOD STUFF GOOD STUFF GOOD STUFF
Says shes not really qualified for making reviews, makes a better review than most mainstream reviews good work.
Musty Avenger mm hmm•
Musty Avenger yeah, she should be game reviewer
*I just wanna take a moment and say that Kotaku and Polygon are shit.*
"Story is hit or miss" -IGN
definitely a much better review that understands what Nier: Automata is about
Atleast she you know, FINISHED THE FUCKING GAME

ValkyrieAurora can't wait to get it on my ps4!!
I played it in PC with PS4 joystick, how about that?
After playing it on pc, I really think that people are way overblowing any issues with the port.
from my experience, the game looks great on PC, theres just some minor glitches and aspect ratio issues that were fixed through mods
9S realy puts the Hack into Hack and Slash.
Meanwhile i'm playing this game with a friend and we're 19 hours into the first playthrough and i think we're just halfway into it.

night1952 Oh it will be worth it to check everything out, trust me :D You are doing it the right way
night1952 ah, i see your a completionist as well
Only if the game is worth it. This games has so many details that it makes me want to see everything it has to offer.
Have you finished route A and B ending? The game drastically changes after route B. In fact it makes route A and B seem like that was just the intro part to the main game. Literally they don't show the Nier Automata sign until you start route C.

Agreed. But spoilers will always come anywhere, as long as it's favored by many, not just Nier:Automata.

I like your voice, thanks to the summary you made (from Drakengard to Nier) is that I could enjoy much more NieR: Automata. My most sincere thanks.

I just got my Platinum yesterday! The game just blasted through all my expectations! Love everything about it.

I really hope that the series would get remastered to PS4 or at least the original NieR
Original NieR actually looks pretty good. I don't think a remaster is necessary for that game. Drakengard 3 also looks stunning.
I would love a remaster, or even just a port, so I could actually play them. I don't have a ps2 or ps3, so playing the older entries is impossible for me.
くノ一 4513 I'd love a 60 fps remaster O.O
I recently replayed drakengard 3 with a ps3 emulator, the upscaled textures and fps limit are blargh, sure AA helped but not enough.
PS3 Emulator? What sorcery is this?
Commenting to make this vid more relevant and push this channel up the ranking. Go Sophie!
NieR is not a video game, it's a work of art.
It's both :)
The Mona Lisa isn’t a painting, IT’S A WORK OF ART.
See how retarded that sounds?
Knights of the Nine AHAHAHAHAHAH
those two are not mutually exclusive
Even me taking a dump is a work of art.
This review is up there , in term of quality, with the biggest channels out there. Great work with the editing and audio! 😁
I subscribed because of your amazing voice. Plus your videos are really good.
Yoko Taro's next idea:
Scalebound + waifu = Drakengard 4
Can't forget the religious cults in his games. The MC waifu in Drakengard 4 discovers an underground cult that worships an ass. Wonder who that is...?
Jackass?
Yoko's next idea; not games
Yoko said he's going to open a restaurant

I really appreciated your lore summary video.
I love your voice! It's so calm and relaxing to listen to /notcreepyatall

Good review.

just want to say thank you!!!!! your videos are awesome! as a fellow long time Taro fan i wish i had your videos to help me figure out his concvoulted story lines like a decade ago haha! i had to do that with way to many playthroughs that i should've done lol. i dont have any friends able to looks past graphical quality and gameplay of past titles to enjoy the breath taking beautiful story Yoko has written while drunk at bars.... hoping automata will get them into the universe, even if thats not the case im so glad to have stumbled upon your channel and watch your videos! i feel like ive found a taro yoko buddy at long last! your videos are extreamly accurate and detailed but also not to long or overkill! you have a good balance and present information in what i assume is an easy to understand package( i knew this stuff already :3) anywho thank you for your hard work and quality content hope to see many more videos in the future
The soundtrack of the original nier is the only thing that calms me down...
other than Death Metal ofc... freaking love it!
love your voice, sounds kind and warm
Personally I think you did a very good job doing a review. Very clear explanation of what you liked and didn't liked, and why. 😺
Did not expect to like it as much, but damn... Sacrificing graphics to push every aspect - I will now prefer this compromise over questionable gameplay, story, or music.
You got my subcription at "I would like to give a quick head...up"
This is by far my game of the year, and i dont think any upcoming game will beat it.
You always put up awesome vids!! Thank you!!
Amazing job! Keep up the awesome work. i cant wait for more content from you :)
I want to buy this game 10 times and for another person letting me watch their gameplay~
Buy buy buy~
Best game ever for me.
yes, this is my first Nier/Yoko Taro/Platinum Games game and I fell in love with it.
I agree with everything you said here
personally I give it a 10/10.
while I'm easily hooked up by a good story (or any story for that matter) I usually get bored replaying games, and often can't bring myself to 100% a game that I didn't 100% the first time (and that rarely happens).
Do a lets play of old Nier for those of us who started on Automata :D please and thank youuuu
Even after 5 years this came up to my recommended which brought back some memories
This game has gotten insane great reviews, I need to play this.
I will buy this. I like playing things in order but i rarely do. I played almost all the mgs games out of order and understood it all fine
Bought the game for the MGR style combat and the Butt, got blown away by the story and the music
can I just say I love your content and your voice!!!
I saw the title and am here to provide a quick answer: YES!
Just bought the game yesterday, so hyped to finally play it!!
I do wish there was a few more areas to explore and a bit more character development and interesting sidequests during the 1st run but by the end of the third, this totally lived up to my expectations. Especially the more I think about all the symbolism throughout it.
the answer is yes. a resounding yes
Your voice is so... Peacefull. I love it.
My review of YOU is that
your voice and speech pattern are really soothing
OMG i absolutely fell in love with your voice 😍 it is melting icebergs 🔥
And: You are more than qualified for makin awesome reviews
Keep on with your fantastic reviews
+one sub for you 🤗
Blade and Mirage pod programs make combat as 9S pretty bearable if you can't stand the hacking mini game or having to hack through hordes of enemies.
Especially useful once you get multiple pods, holding the pod program button charges the skill and makes it more powerful.
soundtrack was also my heartbeat ( kami ni naru/Birth of a wish, Kami ni Naru/possessed by a disease and Simone Themes are my three favorite of all the soundtracks )
if you played the original Nier you will see ( or probably already saw it ) an easter egg character/boss :)
never played a game from yoko taro, started playing this game and it´s absolut fantastic.one of the very few games i´d call a masterpiece. i love it and i´m sad now, after 55 h playing that it´s over
Thank you for convincing me to buy this game. Literally one of the best decisions of my life. Thank you so much ❤️
I didn't get all of the "joke" endings, but I chose to "give up everything" at the story end (I hope that doesn't give too much away) :-) It felt good.
I’ll see how many more it will take to get close to a 100 or for me to be satisfied^^
LOVED THE GAME!!
I can’t believe I finally got to play it…
It was both so much fun and painful. I cried so much, i felt ill but it’s one of the best things I’ve done playing this game.
Haven't played any of the previous games, loved Automata. It's certainly not flawless by any means but overall it's definitely one of a kind.
This is the first nier game i have played and i have never played any other game in the series and i give it a 10/10 am currently playing again
Pretty much sum up my thoughts when I finished this game. Thumps up :like:
Loved it! Very honest, thorough and sincere. Would be cool to see more reviews from you.
Oh, a question. Which mic do you use for recording?
I played first one as a random rental from blockbuster when bored. Sat down and played every ending in 2 sittings and I never understood why because nothing in it was necessarily polished but it was amazing. And soundtrack amazing. Playing automata now and I'm having best time had playing a game I think ever. I've had bad frame rate issues though isn't effecting combat thankfully. Best game soundtrack for me the music is so varied and creative.
Nice review. Question: for the multiple endings do you legit have to play from beginning to end for each one, or can you load a previous save file after finishing one of them to get another?
RyuzakiFan1 no. you get chapter select later on.
Kenjie Moore Sweet, thank you!
love Automata, never played any of the other games so I watched a bunch of "Lore" videos to get the gist of Drakengard and Nier so I'd understand the big connections.
just finishing up 9S' story.
what was that?
you'd give it a..... 9...S?
NineS imo
This may sound pretentious but this games philosophy is so beautiful it could get its own section. idk it hit me so hard
Excellent review. You earned yourself a new subscriber. Keep it up! :)
I dunno, I feel like Nier's biggest strenght is Nier Automata's biggest weakness, its Characters.
I love u and ur channel 😱
I recommend using spear or gauntlet when playing 9S. Focus on primarily attack damage and critical chips, and throw those spear and gauntlet all days. More efficient and, in my opinion more fun, than fluid combat of 2B and A2, and almost never have to hack anything except what you're supposed to.
