This mod is definitely not super accurate on what the flesh that hates is, it's much more dire than this and the entities aren't ALWAYS hostile. They're always mutations of people and usually the animals affected are incorporated into the infected people. The infection sometimes gets so bad the particles are in the air and spread that way but its usually through touch. There is no cure, and once you're touched you're dead. Most entities try very poorly to replicate the actions of what the thing they took over did when it was alive. They also aren't easy to kill unless you burn them because over time their bodies will just mutate something in the place of whatever lost tissue they have. I definitely recommend reading the scp page on it as this mod doesn't do it complete justice. Still an amazing mod nonetheless.
ngl, lack of accuracy isnt all too cool but the results were good anyway. i think what im disappointed the most by is the lack of darkness of the flesh. dark red looks so much more disturbing in my opinion. though, if it was lore accurate it would probably be damn next to impossible to play lol. edit: i take it back the mod was lame over all tbh lol xd.

Surprised to see the "Parcool" mod in any minecraft video not focused solely on Parcool. I play with Parcool on every Survival World I make, since parkouring around is just fun.
Just watched this mods showcase a few days ago heh. Bdw in early stages only this small chicken looking thing infects stuff, later when the incubators are in the world other mobs start infecting stuff.
With my experience with the mod, just pour lava on the incubator, the thing dies in seconds and the entire place burns down, if that's not enough spam lava so the flesh blocks can't regenerate fast enough at the speed they burn at.
I remember that also for my first run the monsters that spawned at the beginning got killed by village guards and then they never showed up. It's cool to see new mods try to do their own take on the concept, but since they're pretty new they can sometimes be a bit unpolished.
I love ur modded parasite vids and I love this mod but yeah honestly its better to try it with another parasite mod like From Another World or Spore. Honestly, you guys gotta play From Another World again bc it got an update and its super awesome now with the sculk and the new models! Maybe play it and make the goal to explore at least 3 Alex Caves while the Alien thing chases you!

@@Phoenixqp I'm glad you're enjoying it! If I remember correctly the only big thing that was added since they last played was assimilated sculk. I'd rather they wait until the next big update (1.2B) which won't be for quite a while but it'll add a lot more stuff. Overall the experience right now is pretty similar to the experience they had playing the beta so unless they find assimilated sculk (which isn't a guarantee) it would just be the same thing again

I also have a survival world where they almost completely infected a Primordial Cave and everytime I try to kill a dino it just turns into a Beast. So cool honestly.
I feel like 2023 has been the year Modded Minecraft has been embracing the horror genre. (Or at the least, more horror mods are getting the spotlight) Cave Dweller, Sculk Horde, Spore, From Another World, and now this.
Has potential but still looks like it's in early stages of game development to do in order to make it really a good parasite like mod. Far as i know the actual Flesh that Hates from the SCP information is very infectious where as this one if it hits a player doesn't seem to do much in that effect which should be change in later updates. Also the dev should add a hazmat suit in game as well to add in some protection against the infected, early hazmat suits likely be low durability so the suits should be able to be upgraded and can be enchanted as well over time. Other then that i look forward to see that mod get updated to it's full potential later on.
