This commentary is probably as good as the show itself.
Although I found that the ending of the show was unable to cohesively portray this message. It felt a bit rushed through compared to the well fabricated rest of the show.
I was confused how did Alma accept her father's death so quickly and how she quickly decided to go back. Or why did she want to go back in the first place when she was truly happy in the alternate reality.
But you seem to have gotten the actual message they wanted to portray even though the delivery wasn't perfect till the end.
