We've seen a huge variety of cars in New Zealand, but we couldn't go all that way without getting our hands on the king of the tuner cars; a car that, in America, is several times rarer than even the hyper-est of exotics: Matt wanted to drive a 1,000 HP R34 Skyline GTR

3:23 Craziest turbo spool sound ever! Holy fuck!
I was about to say that haha
lol I was gonna say he laughter is infectious!
Lmao 😂😂😂
why isn't this the top comment?😂😂😂😂
Damn rofl 😂
money can't buy happiness, but it can buy horsepower. And at the end of the day, isn't that really the same thing?
I agree Takamura-san
'Takamura, why you lose so much weight
Fucking Obviously!
torque. It is all about torque. not horsepower.
Cosmic Turban money can buy happiness, it's just that usually when someone has a LOT of money, like billions of dollars or something, they are usually either crooked, they've killed people, or they are ashamed of how they acquired the money, so they can never enjoy it and become very depressed about life. If you EARN your riches, it's easier to enjoy, and you CAN be rich, humble, and satisfied. It's been done.
His laugh sounds like a truck just smashed the brakes 3:21 - 3:25
+Todd Vretno ahaha cracked me up
He makes his own turbo noises.
lmfaoooo so dead
I read your comment high and I agree 100%
Lmfaoooo oh man this comment is golden XD
3:22 Your laugh sounds like a blow off valve...
Lol
Haha i though it was it
J. A. Shaff hahahahhaha
J. A. Shaff HAHA it really does maybe it was intentional? lmao
Blowoff valves make a big WOOOOSSH sound. The turbo flutter sound is called compressor surge. It happens when you let off the throttle and the compressed air between the throttle body and the turbo has nowhere else to go besides back through the turbo blades making that chopping/flutter sound :)
Paul Walker would've liked this......
Indeed
:')
Gone but not forgotten
Too bad he is dead lol
R.I.P walker.....Damn we need you back /:
R34's are great cars, and the import ban is indeed a shame, BUT, it's not all bad, because North America DID get the Supra to play with, and it's on the same level of performance.
Where an R34 is a 2.6L inline 6 Parallel twin turbo, Getrag 6spd and AWD, the Supra gave us a 3.0L inline 6 Sequential twin turbo, Getrag 6spd and RWD. So at least we still got something really potent from Japan. :)
The similarities between these two vehicles is that they both run inline 6 cylinder motors twin turbos and similar capacity. That's about where it ends. Although supras and skyline are both Japanese powerhouses that about where it ends. Awd vs rwd isn't a really a comparison.
enigmaPL The Supra is a great drag/GT car. But not nearly as confidence inspiring in the handling department as the Skyline.
TheSmokingTire MR2-Turbo was probably more of a weapon in the right hands than the Supra, Skyline, 300zx, 3000gt VR4?
enigmaPL I think that legal R32 GTRs are cheaper than MK4 Supra TTs here anyway. They're not as advanced as the R34, but the potential is there.
enigmaPL Its the AWD which is a big benefit compared to the Supra ........
I really like how he kept his car to his own tastes and didnt just make a Z tune copy like so many out there.
***** The z tune is the holy grail of JDM's. Its kind of hard not to want to imitate it, sense many will never be in the position to own it. Luckily, the JDM tuner world also offers a plethora of aftermarket trinkets to allow there cars to be as imitational* or inspirational as possible.
Themayseffect Valid point, but im saying that i just like that he made it a little different not just 100% the same.
***** I concur, but the part about people being wannabes seems a bit harsh in this scenario.
Themayseffect Fine, edited.
***** IDM (indian domestic market) is not the same as JDM (japanese domestic market) , no matter how cheap it is and how close it looks, it will never be the same.
Nice to see someone designing and building parts themselves!
V6boosted Me too, Im studying mechanical engineering and already designed and 3d-printed a custom intake housing for my Alfa. I was really proud, because it streghten the connection between me and my car, altough it was just a little thing. :) My dream is to someday design my own engine :D
***** I'm Graduating this Saturday with a Mechanical Engineering Degree :D!! My biggest tip, I have seen way too many people fail/drop out of engineering and most of them were smarter than me. I just never gave up and tried my best. Simple as that.
***** EE here, class of '98. You're going into 4 years of basically math classes of some form or another (with sprinkling of non math stuff). Just persevere.. keep your head down and roll through it. First 2 years are the worst then it should get more interesting for you in 3rd and 4th years.
***** Don´t let things add up! Do your stuff and learning emidiatly or else it will add up and you can´t keep up anymore. I wish you luck and fun :)
***** I'm just about to finish my Mech/Design degree (dissy and exams left to do) My biggest regret and what I didn't pick up till too late is to start everything early, it'll make life a lot easier and find what you can excel in. For me, I'am awful at maths, but design and workshop is where I'am best.
Also, speak to the tutors, be honest, don't make excuses, admit if you make mistakes and they'll respect you a hell of a lot more.
You poor poor Americans! I can hardly go a day without seeing an r34 in Melbourne!
about muscle cars.....
+SnazzyGoodTimes We have plenty of other cars that fill the gap.
Yep.
+SnazzyGoodTimes AMERICA!
Heaps!
Why's nobody talking about the rpm's thought? The red line STARTS at 9000, and then would go up to 11000, they just don't make cars like that anymore, not even supercars rev that high, and that's what made that car Godzilla like, just watching that car rev up while i'ts accelerating is just mind blowing, like an F1.
Are you fucking stupid? The r34 revs to 8500. No production car goes to 11k not even a fucking lfa
+badivukXforzaXpro it can be tuned to go to 11k
even a integra type r
+Rj Ruckee Thank you for clearing it up for the dumbass up above!!! Lol
Alvaro Merino the s2000 goes high rpm as well for a stock car under 60k anyway
Trust me I met him yesterday at Top 10 Holiday park Hot water beach and he gave me a ride.
This car was fuckin absolutely insane. Thank you for the ride I won't forget it.
I can beleive this
If you grew up in NZ especially in the 90s and 2000s, even now, GTR's, GTST, GTS25T, GTS4s along with every other JDM car was a common sight
Fuck yeah they were an a shit load of rotaz
ahhhh those 4&rota events
Yep throw in cheap and easy finance at the time , recipe for pure joy, when I moved from teh UK to NZ in 99, it was like moving into Gran turismo with 15 year olds (yes 15 yr olds) cruising around in GTS-Ts, rotangs and ozzy v8s.
in Jamaica as well
Better keep quiet about this now. Don't want some American twat who only got off thinking his dad's 50 year old V8 was the fastest thing in the world until he watched fast and the furious to find out about our JDM haven.
Pretty soon they'll suck up all the GTRs, any turbo rwd Nissan and Toyotas and completely Americanise them till they look and go like shit. Then take all the Evos and Rex's and Rotas and well be left with Maxda GTXs, Starlet GTs and GTIR Pulsars.
thats not a turbocharged engine, its an engined turbo
RB26DETT
No.. RB30DETT
androshame no.. rb26/rb30. rb26 head. rb30 bottom end
It's basically an rb28
Whatever bitch! Whatever!
R34 Gee-Dee-Ah
Yeah pretty much lol.. That's how they say it in Australia too, it's very cringe.
Ah virdy voor, Gee Dee Ahh
No one in Aus says it like that..
Or new Zealand its just the way the owner talks
Yes, a lot of people say that in Aus, but it's generally the bogans with their "commonwhores" These cars are probably the only JDM vehicle I'd purchase, or a Nissan GTR
That has to be the most beautiful Skyline I've ever seen. The dark, carbon moldings with the red pin striped fill-ins, against that classic silver paint. It's a gorgeous car. The dude who owns this has a great eye.
Finally!
Thank you very much!
What a great car :)
Does it have an RB30 engine from RIPS?!
pyromaniac1207 Yes
Sweet!
I've been loosely following what Rob does ever since I was on holiday in NZ in 2006/2007.
You should get one of his engines for your Skyline, Matt! ;)
Seen this beast in person. Great job to Faizal for putting NZ on the map! :)
How long before this hits the million views mark? 1000bhp AND an R34.... Its amazing to have the smoking tire guys professionally shoot this and Matt to present. The GTR was the holy grail for you, this video is the holy grail for me!
Gee Dee Ah
Love it haha
bruh my thinking exactly lol.
Haha :D
i love the accent lmao love from U.S
R34 is love, R34 is life
R34 is the truth, R34 is the way...
R34 is the one true God xD
fanboys
Or people who appreciate great cars. If you don't like the R34, fuck off. No one forced you to watch this video.
I breathing it in and drooling at the same time.
Matt there are a handful of r34 GTRs that were legally imported into the United States, if you can find one though you're going to pay a hefty price for it
AGH0STBUSTER5 cars imported under the motorex rule are very few and very far between. Anyone who has one would want six-figures for it, and even then, there's no guarantee you'd be able to register it in California. There are maybe 20-25 of these cars in the whole country, and that's an optimistic number.
I know the US rules are silly, why rules are still in place is beyond me. I'm just glad some were brought in at all.
Do you think Matt (I'm assuming this isn't him replying to peoples comments) would ever consider an r32 now that they're legal?
TheSmokingTire I saw a skyline gtr in laguna beach recently
TheSmokingTire Hey Matt, I live in SC. I know you have/had family over here. Their is a Purple R34 over in Mt. Pleasant. Crazy that it could be out of 25 in the whole country, makes me like SC a lil more.haha
Matt, best thing to do: buy and modify a Skyline to your desires in a foreign country (like NZ or Japan maybe?). Keep it there. Ask someone to overlook the mods and maintenance. When the time comes, your car will be ready to come here all perfectly kitted up. Then, have fun!
maximus9401 I've considered that.
TheSmokingTire dooo iiiiittttt!!
Seems like a good plan. However, once you pay for all the moving costs and labor and SHIPPiNG, I doubt it would be worth it after that.
iTzMeChucky we can't say whether it's worth it or not. That's for Matt to decide.
If I wanted this car enough, the way it is in the video, then I'd go out of my way for it if I have the capacity to do so.
TheSmokingTire There are plenty of them in Australia, just saying.
Watching the R34 bit made me smile...hearing the upcoming rally car bit gave me chills.
For real! What was that?
jkflorida2013 Renault VQ powered mid engined home built rally car of awesomeness...just you wait, it's amazing.
OK cool. With my headphones on it really did give me the chills. I can't wait to see it!
jkflorida2013 It's a home built rally car for the NZ Rally championship. Builder/driver is 21 years old. Powered by a 450 HP Formula Renault engine.
TheSmokingTire Can't wait to see it!
I really like these New Zealand editions of the smoking tyre, good to see that the car culture in still going strong. Spent the most part of my life living there and growing up with all the Japanese import cars available. The owner of this skyline is a true enthusiast, he has the similar mind set to myself.
the r34 owner signifies what a true tuner IS and SHOULD BE... someone who brings their own talent and trade to the automotive aspect of life...when you can harness your passion for cars realistically through your own personal method and ability, then you're the epitome of a "tuner"...
agreed, too many jealous haterz on here
Builder. Theres a difference between building and tuning. He is respected either way.
This made me feel some type of way...
Ily tj
Lol I just found this. Your a lard if you see this:)
Tejjj
Did you get the fizz?
This comment aged like fine wine.
Awesome film in a great location. Love seeing R34's like this. More details on the turbo setup/ engine setup would've been thoroughly enjoyed :D
1:35 Oh how I wish the caption read "maniacal laughter"
ConeDodger240 my goodness that thing would make me giggle like a maniac too
Respect for the owner and his huge effort that he put in this car. Respect.
When your laugh sounds like a blow off valve 3:21
Mark Nikara lol😂😂😂
it's what happens when you're a petrolhead
Mark Nikara HAHAHA
Mark Nikara bypass valve you mean?
I thought I was original with that thought, but apparently everyone else thought the same thing in the comments.
It's awesome to see what this owner has done with his R34 GT-R. A lot different than the GT-R we featured on our channel a couple days ago :D
Roads Untraveled Had to go back and watch this one again, after the black 800 beast you just did in LA. 🔥
His laugh at 3:22 sounded like a turbo flutter ahahahha
Fynkzz stututututu
I'd rather own a R34 Skyline GT-R over a R35. Freakin' amazing machine! 🔥🔥🔥
Did you hang out with any rotor guys? Rotary freaks are crazy, ones from NZ even more so. Gotta love 'em.
Here in NZ we see these cars very often, hell there a couple of Asian uni students that drive R35's to school in Wanganui. RZ Supras were sold here brand new. I have seen a supra with a 1UZ single turbo. All of the mitsi evos as well as the older VR4's are seen driving around everyday. Restrictions on modding are almost non existant. Great place to live!!
That is a really nice goal to set for yourself but you living in cali, I'm sure you'll accomplish this goal a lot sooner than 9 years.
he's unable to legally import one until then. cars have to be 25 years old to import into the states
Elephant He says 9 years because thats how long it will be until the import restriction will be lifted on R34s. (25 year rule) Basically, unless he buys one for track use, he wont be able to get one sooner and actually drive it.
Elephant He's saying 9 years because the U.S has a 25 year import restriction on cars meaning you can't import a car unless it passes 25 years of age. The r34 began production in 1998 so it will be around 9 years until we can begin legally importing them for street use. Having one in cali is another matter due to our strict emissions laws.
Elephant It's about importing them, not making the money to buy them lol
greasegram Still not legal in California after 25 years. Cali is is 38 years for emissions.
As a European, I'm vergy grateful you're saying Coupe instead of Coop!
It's confirmed that Matt will only live for 9 more years ;(
Holladay i dont get it
Holladay No its when the car will become legal in the US
wait.. what?
cgravity123 he will crash and die with 1000bhp....that was the whole joke
hugh mirin And why is it 9 years until it becomes legal?
this is the most beautiful r34 I have ever seen. the r34 is my favorite car and I can't begin to explain how jealous I am of this guy and his beautiful car
Hes a nice guy in real life aswell .....hi from new Zealand
Lol his laugh sounded like an old pickup truck trying to turn on
I've never heard of a GDR
Actually I am a kiwi and I say GTR not GDR
wut
karl may kiwi the fruit
karl 2017 dafuq is a kiwi?
Jaymie 5.0 hes fijian
Beautiful. I hope one day i'll be lucky enough to own one of these. The R34 has been my favourite car for many many years.
I love watching these R34 Skyline vids. It only strengthens my want for these beautiful machines.
His giggle at 3:22 is like a turbo spooling haha ! We love your reviews Matt ! Cheers.
This is the ultimate street car build. I have dreamed of building a supra twin turbo 6-speed manual one day, but being able to own a Nissan Skyline R34 6-speed twin turbo would be the ultimate dream build. I have only seen 1 1999 R34 in the US and it was at a car show. Hopefully one day I will drive this car, preferably in right hand drive. Great video!!
Wonder why the strut tower brace is attached on top of the nuts holding the strut top mount to the tower? Usually you remove those nuts, install the brace and then put the nuts back on top of the brace.
This GT-R runs an rb30 bottom end which is a 3L bottom end out of a different cars that mates up with the rb26 head to give more capacity or CI. The deck hight of the 3L bottom end is 30mm higher than the stock rb26 bottom end pushing the head position 30mm higher in the engine bay and the strut brace needed to be spaced upwards to accommodate a taller engine package. The puzzling thing is when the owner of the car, who is an engineer, didn't accommodate for this when building the strut brace from scratch.
The GTR comes stock with a 2.6L block hence the name rb26. Lots of GTR owners upgrade the block to 3L and hence the name (and badge at the back of the car) rb30. The rb30 block sits taller than the rb26, which means strut bars cannot fit unless you go full custom as it fouls the engine. Some owners put "spacers" to combat this and other owners just don't bother putting one on.
Ray Tjang
but that's the thing, the owner said he custom made it, so why would he not have made it fit properly? Even if he made it before the 3.0L conversion, having it sit on top of the nuts like that is not a proper spacer. It probably doesn't do much at all.
Patrick94GSR I thought that too. It almost looked as if the strut brace was just sitting atop the strut nuts.
My buddy has an RB26 in his 240sx and just having the OEM Twin turbo intake pipes, they sit right under the strut brace he has touching at all times (but not too tight). I can't remember which kind of strut bar it is but it has a higher/more exaggerated angle and still isn't comfortably above the engine and piping. It is difficult to get the right brace for some cars but yeah, it doesn't look like it would do very much in the way of ridigity.
Patrick94GSR it is probably sitting on top of the strut mounting nuts so that if he has to remove it it wont mess up his front wheel alignment the strut tower nuts are loosened to adjust the front wheels caster and camber and should never be all loosened and re tightened without having the wheels realigned or else the car mar pull to one side or the other on the road and wear the tires prematurely
Blow Off Valve Laugh in 3...2...1... 3:23
Had exactly the same thought aga
This comment! Hahah exactly what came to my mind!
You mean turbo flutter?
+Nathan Scott That's literally exactly what went through my mind when he laughed XD
😂😂😂
were you clutching your european hand bag when you said coupé?
😂😂
what color is your handbag?
Theres more 1000hp road legal in New Zealand than you think. Great video and nice car
HERB Gaming DSORDA
Um last I knew about that car it was 606kw which is 812hp so not quite 1000hp buddy
HERB Gaming.
"Add a 15-20% driveline loss and its putting out ~1000hp at the engine, pure speculation"
not at the wheels but an estimated 1000hp none the less . sorry my bad just the first home built street legal car i could think of.
Fair enough ill give you that lol
Im not the biggest fan of that car to be honest tho as well as 4g63s go I cant trust a bitsaremissin (mitsubishi) lol nor a mazda
Nice GDR bro
I'd recommend importing one as a "show car" and hang on to it until they become legal here. Because once they're legal to import as a driver's car, the prices on them are going to jump.
Can u turn that into a normal tittle? I was under the understanding one they were titled show car they couldn't.
Matt hypothetically how was the weed in NZ
mrniceguy5621 lol
mrniceguy5621 incredibly difficult to find.
hypothetically of course
It's pretty good...difficult to find for a tourist
Dream car😭
This GT-R is a monster ! Nice work done by the owner........ I appreciate it :)
This guy is a LEGEND! What a CAR! Thanks +TheSmokingTire for covering this!
His accent makes me laugh! It's a R34 GDR!
TheSmokingTire Played Automotion before watching this and I highly recommend the game. Its not your typical "farming" simulator, its really good if your a car nut.
Ranvir Maharaj :D
AutomationGame Automation Approves :P
The game is crazy detail. I'm a graphic fanatic and usually it matters, but with this game the detail of everything is insane. Engine building is my favourite.
Ranvir Maharaj A lot of sc0hools use it now. I was studying sports science and I saw the automotive dudes using it and got into it as well. Very cool game.
Excellent choice Matt I like you a little more after this one. Sick skyline!
Matthias Gast "1000hp skyline" this video is going to be painfully stupid. I can already tell. Thanks for wasting 5 minutes of my life already man.
Like 2 minutes in and I realise ive already seen it lol
I can't stop crying now
Matthias Gast *sniffle sniffle* y-yes please.
Oh dude I watched that Steve jobs movie on netflix today. Its really fuckin good.
one of the nicest tune ups I've ever seen on a R34
The feels in this video are tangible. I had a huge grin on my face just watching this. I'm with Matt on this - 9 years to save for one of these beasts.
He sounds like the Blow off valve hahahaha 3:21
cant wait for 2024
leeroleero why? R36?
i think the R34 becomes legal in USA, not sure tho
Kristian Srbinovski That's fucking awesome
Carlos De Leon fuck there will be none left they are already legal in Canada and other places in the world
By that time I'll have enough money saved to either buy the r34 or a house. . . I think Imma go r34.
matt come to canada we can have them here
chrismay1a not anymore we can't
paradoxdesigns What do you mean the 1999 and 2000 skylines are legal in Canada.
paradoxdesigns oh well you can still buy ones that have already been imported invancouver.craigslist.ca/pml/cto/4964272883.html
chrismay1a you can still import r34's into
Canada.
paradoxdesigns www.rightdrive.ca/vehicle/1999-nissan-skyline-gtr-hks-2-8l-700hp/ available in Canada if you have the cash.
Matt’s laugh at 3:20 sounds like turbo flutter 😂 I love how he’s just a regular degular guy doing what he loves
4:24 the fact that you just drove past my school and almost where i lived makes me stupidly happy yet angry that i wasn't there to see it go past
Automation seems like a fun game but it looks a little underwhelming in the graphics department
***** Yeah, we're a 3 man studio so we can't really throw the huge teams at it that big companies would.
We're about to change game engine though, and that'll hugely improve the lighting/shaders at least.
AutomationGame Which engine are you using now? And did you guys know about this: www.unrealengine.com/blog/ue4-is-free
Wayland C - UE4 is what we're going for, and currently we're using our own engine, because we started before engines were cheaply available.
UE4 being free is nice, but it was only ever $19 a month anyway, so not a big deal. Great engine to work with though.
AutomationGame nice, everything I've seen using UE4 looking amazing so that should be quite the improvement
***** facebook.com/AutomationGame/posts/1065047573511960
Why can't Nissan make cool cars like this again? Their new GTR just looks so boring compared to this...
I dont agree, the new cars arent so square-shaped, now the car companies are trying to make cars with more shape... Compare McLaren F1 with McLaren P1 :)
Chris Blue Well that's my personal preference :)
Jon Doe Yea especially when they only make the new gtr's in automatics smh
UcntBEATdisSTUD
sequencial ... not automatic :)
Chris Blue you mean dual clutch?? Its still automatic...
This is why I love Europe.. I can have any car I want here.
RazorFX But prepare yourself to pay twice for the same car and twice for the fuel.
Righhhhht
Jonny Oliveira
Dude I live in central Europe so please save me the bullshit. Yes the gas is expensive, but the car is about 40-50k USD stock V spec II with low miles no accidents etc..
RazorFX Cannot have R34 without E-signed headlights, and to get them E-signed you need some expensive custom job. Also official Nissan dealers are zero to helpful what comes to maintaining the car so again go to a custom shop which is ripping off.
Yes, you can eventually have whatever you want IF you are rich, but I guess that applies to any part of the world.
Amer Huba
In central Europe I can have the headlights and rear lights done for 700 USD. Thats not a lot.
3:22 That laugh though XD
9:10 You and I both, Matt. I've already started making space in the stable! I've got 2 vehicles left to sell to make space. If it takes 2-3 years to find the right buyers at the right prices, no biggie, I've got 9 years to giterdone!Cheers!
The giggles are real
born and raised in new zealand, I sadly have to tell you this is no where near the fastest street legal car in nz. just to name a few, there's a 1600+WHP r35 (ams), a vw beetle with an 26B rotary engine that runs 1/4 miles in 6 seconds. there are plenty more
I'm 100% jelly
ayy lmao
Adam Mendoza Hey, I guess nobody can resist a 1k hp r34 vid lol
@3:23 best turbo whistle ever
I currently own a 95' Supra Twin-Turbo. Its Automatic and still stock twins, I love it... I was having second thoughts about buying it just because of it being automatic. The Supra was and is my dream car , but I always pictured me driving a 6-speed. If I could have found a R34 for 30k at the time I was looking for the Supra, I would've bought it in a heart beat. BUT, I ended up buying the Supra... I don't regret it for a minute... I still have the stock twins and withbasically basic mods I'm running around 550 HP Crank.
Why does the strut tower brace mount above the strut mount nuts? To me, the brace would stiffen the chassis more if it contacted the metal strut tower instead of just the studs connecting to the strut mounts. But then again, I am no engineer.
wondered also.
Ryan Billy yeah I'm guessing the Structural Engineer knows something we plebs don't.
Ryan Billy I thought I was the only one caught that. It bothered me too...😒
I live in Australia and GTR's are extremely rare where I live too, in my whole life I have seen
3x R32 GTR
2x R33 GTR
2x R34 GTR
5x R35 GTR
You always see the standard Skyline but GTR's are rare as fuck
I live in Melbourne Aus and I see them all the time I'm not sure what you are talking about but they're not that rare
Not to sure where you live man but all forms of GTR's are everywhere in brisbane. I can't wait to own one
Ben salter I live in a part of NSW where the most popular cars are Corolla's :/ (I have a ford jsyk)
Brandon P Sydney sider here. Kind of spoiled for choice, GTR's are everywhere. Especially out west.
Wow I thought they were dime a dozen over there. I live in California and I've only seen 1 R33 GTR and like 5 R32 GTRs, one being driven down the road. I see R35s almost every other day so now Im just like "meh" when I see one lol.
WTF was that rallycar at the end!!! :O
AL mo That's Alex Kelsey's MC2, and it's up next in our NZ series.
TheSmokingTire AWESOME! Can't wait! :)
I love when he says I have so much info that is telling me things, but I really have to look at the road because you are just going so fast, even when you don't think it. Know the feeling all to well.
Hats off to you Faisal. A beautiful, beautiful car to be proud of!
Funny how all 1000hp Cars always is turned down to low or mid boost when filmed and reviewed...
throw crazy mods on, run race gas, make 1000whp... put pump gas back in and drive it at 5-600whp until the end of time. it's what damn near everyone does anymore; stupid AF
my car makes 600hp and thats it and thats what its driven at; I dont have a problem in the world being honest with people.
D Ketrow ikr? 600hp is really impressive, I'm gonna be honest and say that I'm tired of 10000000hp antilag Supras and GTRs, it's getting old, I'll only be impressed if I see a stock turbo Supra or stock BNR34
Well at least R32s are now legal in America.
GALLO 12 OR GALLO 24?
Vviper 4194 I didn’t know pizza places made motors
Great video, though I'm years late. It's so awesome that Matt visited NZ. Kiwis are ingenious and endearing people. They have a tendency to achieve lots with few resources. I reckon it's one of the best countries in the world.
Talking about "custom tuned" This guy really customize some of the parts by his own hands. Kudos!
3:23 sututututut
He laughs like a blow-off valve :p
Supra will never, "never" will be good as The Skyline GTR R34 and you guys know that! #TheHolyGrail
No doubt *_THE CAR AND THE OWNER ARE MADE FOR EACH OTHER_*
0:31 that Voice crack😂
Brian Barragan lol
3:24 that was some Hyenas laughing right there, good job Matt lol
I'm dissapointed. All the way to Australia .. 9 minutes ??? Maybe let the owner talk about the engine .. The mods , suspension.. Or other stuff. He did have a Cool accent !
5abivt It's New Zealand.
Still far enough to warrant a few extra minutes !!
5abivt YEA MATE GET IT RIGHT WE AINT NO AUSSIES HERE!
JK most new zealanders dont give a shit if you call us aussies, we just flick it off
5abivt Its NZ dumbass close enough i guess. Maybe with a 1000hp you can build a ramp and jump over there haha.
5abivt yea. his accent is mixed sounds cool
What kind of BOV is that at 3:21 - 3:25?
Winning TheWinner compression surge (turbo flutter) pretty different to a BOV, a BOV let's out un needed air/boost while flutter is when the air is forced to exit back out through the turbo
Lol GDR... 😂
Just said the same thing lol.
GT Ramji Gee Dee Ahr 😂👌
To me the r34 is the best looking jdm car I’ve seen even with it stock
1988-2003 there were so many awesome cars built. I don't think any decade would ever be able to top the cars produced in that era....I hope I'm wrong
Meanwhile in California no modified car is street legal. Stupid CARB...
This looks like it was filmed near the watchtower of Amon Sul.
Sounds like the owner is saying GDR
it's just how people from New Zealand say the letter T depending on what word it is :)
He's Indian it's linguistics
Yeah not everyone pronounces worda correctly. It's his accent. Chill guy tho. Man I am afraid to see that car on its 1000 HP tune 😣😣😣😣
Aussies & Kiwi's (new zealanders) say GTR that way, so for all in the comments having their periods, no need to. Thats just the way we say it from our accents. And yes, he is Idian, but still has a bit of a kiwi accent
he actually sound like he is from Durban, South Africa...
This is in my honest opinion one of the best GDRs in existence
Impressive power for a diesel
Beautiful. Skyline is really a hit or miss car when styling it.
