Always. Always! Will I mention how easy it is to watch your channel! Clever, subdued and informative. Nothing loud nor obnoxious about it. There are the hyped vids that are very exciting, however you're kind enough to let us know right away that you're a bit manic those days on account of the colours you've found! Cheers Chris, from north of Kelowna in Dun Hard's area.
I bought one of your cans and the first teaspoon I got two pickers. One of them was a ready creek nugget. It had shape (it was vertical and horizontal) and they were the only pieces that would sink a little into the tin. Speaking of that tin ore, that shite is gnarly! It is everything Chris has said and more. I had to buy a small ten inch simple black pan because I haven't seen mine in years. We don't need them over here because we just have magnetite. I didn't know how spoiled I was. BTW, thanx for the two pieces of smoky quartz. I gave them to my girlfriend and she absolutely exploded over them(quite a mess I had to clean up). I didn't know that she had been looking for Australian Smoky quartz for her little rock collection for years. I'm gonna smelt that tin ore and and make a piece of bronze. I've already got enough copper ore that I might be able to make a small knife. I'm already a blacksmith and have smelted iron and forged a knife from the natural steel that comes out on the edges of the bloom where it has the most contact with the charcoal receiving the most carbon. Where the rest of the bloom is just straight up wrought iron. So thanx for that bit of Australia, it'll all be put to good use. Cheers

Holy Crap! That Boulder in the middle of the vid is as big as a meteorite I recently found with a half inch thick gold nugget streak longways thru it...I'm waiting for my Polaroid film to get here so I can send pix...when I can find your PO box again
Nice going Chris. Glad you worked it well before you released the video. Still cool that if you are prepared to seek knowledge and do some hard work that there is a reward you can get. Well done 😁👍
Here in Oregon, we have carnelian agates. Beautiful as gold, just not metal or worth anything like gold. But a harbor freight tumbler makes Beautiful stones.
I check to see if I’m still subbed to you on every video. About half the time it says I’m not. But your videos still show up on my “Subscriptions” page. So I think it’s just an issue with the display, and you’re not technically losing subs. Just my guess. But you aren’t the only one I see this happen with. I basically resubscribe to a significant amount of the creators I follow, daily. I don’t get why YT isn’t addressing this, because if it is losing subs, then that’s devastating! I’ll send another message to YT support, just so they know we aren’t going to let it go. As usual, amazing video, Chris!!!
Hey Chris! Theres a stainless steel bucket with handles on the side you can get from bunnings that comes with a stand. Its made to put drinks and ice in i think. Pretty thin metal but probably around the same diameter as your rock strainer thingo. Bit smaller but might save the young, fit, strong, never gets tired man back. I think its worth a try. wish i could show a picture.
Once you got to serious mining, in your 4 meter long trench, 2 feet deep, how much of the top layer(s?) did you shovel off before starting to mine the gravels? 1/2? (taking the bottom foot then down to clay). 3/4? (working the bottom 6" down to clay)? Did it vary depending on the spot along the trench? Great vid!
In your past videos about The Rocker Box you're doing it like they did back in the 1800s😂 putting a pump on it would just mess up the Nostalgia I think that's the word you use for that and it's fun doing it the way you do it I think it's fine😂❤ a pump with kind of mess that up I would probably be cussing you up and down the river😂
Chris, plumbers and painters have plastic buckets that they purchase materials in. Those buckets just get thrown out. Pay a visit to worksites or to the painters and plumbers in your area for a supply of FREE buckets.
@@VoGusProspecting If you get them for free and they last six months, you are far ahead. I have several and have some of them for years. Like all thing plastic, they deteriorate but you just get some more.
Yes, the tubs are getting weaker. If you look at them, some are better, stronger than others. Good colour, good spot, good mates. Great day. ❤ is a golden smile! Cheers Andy
As this video was filmed some time ago, this comment is probably pointless. However spud engineering could fix the Bunnings black tub. Cut the handles off, then lower down using a large drill bit, drill 2 holes a comfortable hand width apart and using a jigsaw/angle grinder or whatever cut out between the two holes and neaten up with sandpaper. Repeat on other side. Is actually a stronger handle than the original. Another great video thanks for sharing.
You're right about there being some rich crevices in reedy creek. I found a decent one the other day, it had a heap of lead, gold, and mercury. Not sure how much gold i got from it because most of the gold came out as amalgam balls, i wouldn't be surprised if there was over 100 shotgun pellets though, those things were going 10-20 per pan 😅
I had to crack open another beer to celebrate your mates "best pan" Called him mate cause I'm not sure how to spell Gadzy. lol That is truly awesome. Looked at that pan for ages trying to count the specs. I love these videos where you go back to " what prospecting is all about" Thanks.
I've classified into a bucket. But instead of going through each bucket I would use the shovel to agitate back and forth in the bucket that was full of water then pour off a bunch and keep on classifying. After a period of time doing that then I'd pan it off.
Chris Save ya bucket!! Cut a hand size hole in it or two for the other side the slice a garden hose to go around...bitta silcone and hey presto back on da gold!! :)
Well according to my math you moved 1.77 cubic yards of material (1.35 cubic meters) that’s a lot of shoveling I figured that bucket wouldn’t last as you broke your other one fairly quickly as well (and they kept getting fuller and fuller as you went lol) 1.95 I hate when that happens one more pan would have done it…. I went and found a good spot (for my area) and did 8-5 gallon buckets of classified material I was after a half gram and when I was beat half to death and said that’s enough something kept telling me just do one more pan… I didn’t and ended up with .48 sigh…. Of course when I went back it was shovel dogged all to hel* and nothing left. Sorry I missed the live stream but was still a great video I enjoy a good premier ( but it’s more distracting in my opinion with the chat and all lol) I noticed you have to hunch a lot with the rocker box could it be spud engineered to be taller? And a longer scoop so you don’t kill the old man back as fast? Looking forward to the rest of yours and gadzees vids from this spot 6 grams😳 that’s crazy good thanks for sharing Chris see you on the next one👍🏼👊🏼
Gumboots are feet condoms, discuss 👇👇
Agreed. No one likes looking down and seeing leeches all over their legs. Well, I suppose some folks might like it, but they're weird.
It's all about the protection they give....
A bit thick tho. Unless you’re thinking of your grandads reusable Geronimo….
Mmm yep 90% effective on protecting you from creek STDs
Love my feet condoms but what I really want ate some sweaty pants😂😂😂✌❤
Still love the rocker box no break downs except old man back 😂
Can I just add a note that the music was super cheery and fun.
finishing the weigh up in the tiniest gold pan... Priceless
Simplicity is best!! Both of you did really good!!
those tubs are always weak at the handles, double up if you are putting a lot of weight in
Every one of those black buckets fails at the handle so soon! Buy ten and keep receipt. Then return them for refund. Thanks Bunnings!
I knew those bunnings buckets couldn't "handle" it...

Catching a live feed is like finding gold. Be in the right place at the right time 😂
I recall the black sand that used to be on Main beach Noosa and the sand mining that used to be around the area in the 80s
A game sled will probably make the commute from the dig to the rocker much easier
Thats actually a solid idea
@VoGusProspecting It makes bringing your equipment in and out much easier too. Just attach to your pack with some paracord.

If the black sands in your area has alot of tin. Why not play with some tin smelting? Like its fun and easy to smith. And its not a cheap material.
I don't know how

Rocking Good Video Chris.. Gotta have one!
great show fellas, Have a wonderful day!
Thanks! You too!
As soon as you lifted that bucket the first time, I knew it would break. 😅
It was great while it lasted
@VoGusProspecting the idea was solid, the material was too heavy for the plastic 🤷♂️

I was lucky enough to get one yesterday
The fine gold you find does it always sit in the bottom of the pan or can it get moved around the bottom of pan when getting to last of the pan

Omfg you and Gadzee never fail to give me a good laugh. Well done gentlemen, well done.
I don't think those bunnings flexible buckets were really meant for 30 plus kilograms of dirt.
I love the old school (rocker box)
12:54 is that gold in the phillips screw?
Well done, that’s a great find 🇦🇺👍
I can see your point about automating the rockerbox. But what about putting a foot pedal on it to rock it?
you could put that "new" buddings bucket into that mesh trash can you have and add a handle to the mesh for future use.

No where near the same thing
