Fern, my white Boxer dog, is an accredited service dog under the 1992 DD act. She holds special access rights to be allowed to enter places most dogs cannot. This includes National Parks such as Chiltern Mt Piolet NP where Reedy Creek is located. Unless your dog is an accredited service animal they are not allowed to enter NP.
Check your local regulations, as each state and territory is different, before you travel into or though NP with your dog. Here is the Parks Victoria website for those of you wishing to read up on Victoria's laws 👉 www.parks.vic.gov.au/things-t...
Yeah it's a re upload. Why, you ask?
Well, long story short. I have a bunch of stuff on the back end I'm trying out.
Not a great reason I know.
I have heaps of new content coming out. However I'm currently working on my prospecting course and that's taking so much of my time. Editing is taking a lot longer.
Give me some grace to try this back end stuff, and I'll have new content out on the weekend.
Who would get tired of seeing gold?
Somehow I had missed this first time around, so hooray for re-uploads!
You should sharpen your flat chisel and also have a spike chisel It will help with busting up the vein and a spud bar for making easy work of those widow makers
Feather and wedges too....drill steel and off ya go
Small suggestion maybe? Instead of chiseling straight into a pan, get a large sheet of plastic to lay under where you are working, this will allow a little more freedom with how you chisel and catch bits that might possibly fly and miss falling into your pan. You'd then lift the plastic and slide everything into your bucket.
most prospectors do that, but here they are making a video, and as such they have to expedite their work due to day light hours and help the speed of material recovery and processing. great idea though if your looking to collect more ore in one go......... :)
Yes
Ooh, give you joy, old, mouldy bean. Such a strike for you pleases us all. 😊
Man when I first got this message I was heartbroken when I couldn't get to see it. I was totally pissed off. Thank you for sharing it. Your videos are amazing and truly appreciated. Please stay safe everyone great to see the Mick star. Missed you buddy. Hoping for a full recovery. Can't stop saying thank you. Why the bald head brother
Can't stop smiling
I too was bummed
I still think you should put a couple of old socks over the outputs on your crusher. Seems it would cut down the dust by about 80% or so? Great finds.
G'day Bo-Gus, my great grand father ran the Government quartz battery in Maldon from about the 1897 onwards . Dad remembered visiting him as a boy and holding a gold bar he said it was heavy 👍.
honestly i dont mind that its a reupload its still awesome to see your excitement cant wait to see your next vid mate love your channel hope you and ferny are doing well
Nice find! I can’t be the only one who thinks hard rock gold doesn’t look at nice. Smelt it into a bar for us for the satisfaction!!!
You made me realize that through your experience and knowledge, if you did stumble on a decent sized vein, tested it and it was producing an amount of gold that would cover the cost of a claim and additionally earn you profit you could set yourself up for life. Although personally to me it looks like you have it made. You really inspire me, I haven't really ever been able to keep a job. But mining gold at a hobbyist level to get by sounds like a dream. I know you have UA-cam too. But just being able to go explore for gold throughout Victoria sounds amazing. I went to Slaty Creek not long ago with my Father, was really my first time panning as an adult. I found some tiny specs, probably like one spec per pan. Honestly didn't expect that much. I probably wouldn't have been able to find those specs if it weren't for your videos on panning.
Oh my goodness, Great job! Keep track of that location and go back for more soon as you can and keep us updated! Also you should do some paydirt from various area's i think.
I Dug up 12.8g last week in 4 days the gold gods are happy it seems. Well done mate I hope you get rich.
'Spalding' is a town in South Australia.... 'Spalling' is detached iron fragments derived from impact. ;-)
Glad to see your hard work paying off.
I do believe Chris you struck gold !!!!
Happy days. Bring on the boxer paydirt pouches ❤
I have to purchase some gold from you at some point. 👍🏻⚒️🏴
Awesome job ChiS & MicK!
That's why I love your program you're so happy you make everybody else happy keep up the good work 👍🤓
Lol @ the quick shots of your weather around the 14:45 mark, and a car goes past me and reflects a ton of Sun onto the wall behind my screen and it fakes my brain into thinking I just saw lightning 🤣🤘
Fern smells the sulphides haha 😊
Chris...if you 'float' your pan on the water, you can tap it against the tub to help stratify. Big help for those of us with less arm/hand strength, but Id love to see you try it, just to see of it helps an expert too.
Just to be able to visit Australia and work with you and the fellas would be an amazing vacation.
If you route the “air output” of the crusher into a bucket of water your dust level with be significantly reduced
Now that’s a good take. Great job Chris and Mick 🍻
This explains a lot. Now I get why there was a wide spread between videos.
Such an exciting time for you and the channel. Loving the hard rock stuff!
WOW!!!
Congratulations on that find!
🙏❤️🌲
That’s a nice spot
I Like the Old Man JIGG 🤩
Your ability to drastically change your hair style from video to video is very impressive 😂😂😂
Try putting couple dryer sheets. In pockets. Sometimes that can help with the electrostatic charges.
if that ore sample was 10kg (guessing), and the ore grade remains stable (hopeful), then you have a 350g/tonne orebody. 11oz per tonne! Amazing find guys!!!!
If it was 11 oz per tonne it would have been worked continuously til nothing was left.
1/2 oz per tonne is considered payable gold.
@@sugarnads yes you would imagine that, but without context, its hard to know. Many reasons for abandoning orebodies... partner dying, battery closing, patchy grades, claim owners getting easier work elsewhere. Ive found quite a few high grade patches of ore that went multi-ounce so not entirely rare.
Love your content. It's nice to see Fern again. :)
I am so happy for you man! That's the way you do it!
Mick and I both do the same Gold Dance lol, Great Job fellas!! Amazing find
1:00 they drained the main vein 😮😂
Congratulations!
Awesome looking material
so happy for you guys.. always great content... happy to be a patreon .. your channel always puts a smile on my face.. do your thing gentlemen..
Я думаю, что собака это их Бос!😂😂😂😂❤❤❤
Awesome video, Looked like a blast of fun
This is an amazing video and totally worth the rewatch
Congrats! Hell of a gold weigh.
That was a very cool video. Great job men wow . Blessings
How cool is that ?
Finding a hand tool used by an old timer in the same gold fields!!!
Days to remember!
Gratz!!😊😊😊😊
That's some rich stuff is that! 👍
Do the dance, boys, you earned it :)
Het chris a massive well fone to you both. Hard work paying off.
That's cool. I can't wait for my prospecting to jump to that level.
So Good all your hard work paid off 😁
Yes! Thank you!
I noticed you said it cost 100,000 in permits to open your own claim. Some places in the us its as simple as finding land to stake claim and pay the 300-400$ reclamation fee. Some states require water license/permits but in america the money comes when you buy the equipment as any mine. I love your channel, im just getting into gold prospecting and your channel is one of many I watch daily.
The supergene and hypogene zones are referring to the state of the sulphides in the ore body. Gold won’t be remobilised by chemical weathering but the sulphides are weathered to oxides and are remobilised.
below the supergene zone a large part of the gold will be bound up within the structure of sulphides (pyrite) and unable to be recovered without complex chemical treatments (cyanide leaching) so beyond the capabilities of either small scale or miners in the days of the gold rush even though it contained good gold content.
In the oxidised zone the sulphide minerals have been weathered freeing the gold and allowing recovery by mechanical / gravitational separation (panning)
Dam, haven’t seen mick in ages. Wondering where he was, hood to see the old boy back in action!!
Straight FIRE 🔥 this one great job all around Gold Fam!
Awesome guys
I feel like I'm way to lucky in this prospecting game, I crushed 1 tennis ball sized rock n it had as much gold as the pan reveal at 7:30min in. I couldn't believe it, then walking around a dam I picked up 3 bits of quartz and 1 was a specimen 😂 what luck, although panning I cannot find a single flake Haha. Great video Chris.
So cool ❤
That is bad ass!
Micks are apparently impervious to Silicosis.
In NSW you would not be able to use a motorized rock crusher.
I'm happy for you man.
Awesome gold
Get all the paperwork and see if you can crowd fund a mining claim? Would be cool and I'd be happy to throw a hundred bucks in
Well done. you guys deserve a stroke of good fortune. Youve put in the time and effort
Love the haircut mate..❤
Excelente trabajo minero
Just don't give away the area and then you can have all that gold😂😂❤❤
Boodly hell dude that's a good spot .
well i read the your comment and found out it was a re upload.. was gon ask what happened to dreadlockin the hair
Great eureka!
Eureka wow nice strike
PLS Sur MAY I HAVE SOME ORE!!!!
Lmao 🤣
You kill me vogus
Love you guys
Wow that is amazing
Hey, Mick👍⛏️
Normally I don’t care when you spill because you are going for volume…. But what the hell man you threw gold all over the bush.
Lots of hard rock in Ontario, Canada. Small gold though.
Awesome
good one blokes .
You throw away ore out of the crusher chute 😅
Can't claim a spot? Either can I.
That's why you don't tell anyone where your spot is. It's like a "secret claim"
Mick is good luck eh !!!!!
🎉 hell yeah.
Now since there is no black sand to put in gadsies pan you must give him all the gold 👍... See gadsie I look after you😜 great find guy
Man that’s an amazing one day take. Can we do a kickstarter time share type deal?
Nice mate, I had an experience yesterday that had me think of the old timers and how it would have been, I was detecting and test panning a little gully a stone’s throw from home that by all reports has no gold, the reports are right but man the amount of fools gold was incredible 😂 I wonder if Bunnings would buy some I know where the motherload is 🤣
Good to see Mick embracing the "Safety Gulp". Holding his breath & breathing through his ears while crushing !
Proper job 🎉
Why does Gadsey (hope I spelled that right) ? not have a mask on.!! That silicate will be a problem in time as you already know.... Awesome video mate.!!
Much love from N.H. U.S.A.👍
Gadsey isn't even in this video. Lol.
Nice!
Chris with a Sawtooth smart been a better choice then the dream mat You use
Yes boys yes 👏
Love it
Nice do man.
This one makes me want to move to Australia and have you give me a nickname LOL
Fun video
Sounded like you were running glass through that crusher
Yeah man, the quartz is super hard and sounds like glass
Widow makers = great gold. Understood sir 🙈
❤❤❤
sounds like a fun pastime dan hurd
Nice 😁
