One of the things that sets you apart from pretty much every other prospector on YT is your cinematography and how you show your perspective through various lenses. The drone footage always highlights the absolutely gorgeous natural beauty of Tasmania, and we really sense your love of the countryside. Putting music to the drone video is always going to be a welcome creative choice. While the long single-shots are great, if you do any sped up shots or timelapses, having background music is 100% okay. We all love the real-time reactions, since we are mainly living the dream vicariously through you. Keeping those genuine and music-free is, I think, the right choice. But at the end of the day, each shot is your choice, and I know I'm not going to be the only one who will watch your videos regardless.
Regards about the music, I am a fan of it. Scenic drone footage of the landscape using the serene instrumental music is great, and for packed crevices or big nuggets a bit of turbocharged music goes good 🤔. Basically how you've been producing your videos is perfect. Love it. Cheers 🍻
Music is ok natural sounds are good too, too me it’s all the same. Natural I like a bit better, I just like you making videos , I don’t care . You make a great adventure, scenery, solid solid video. What ever you do is good Rob, your passion oozes through your videos, and I think it makes us all feel like we are with you:)
Hey Rob , personally I've alway thought your productions are impeccable and really appreciate your selection of music which creates a totally immersive viewer experience. Thanks
Great video Rob right on 16 minutes u can see a nice piece of gold in the bottom right hand corner on the single clip and worked away from it ,just wondered whether u picked it up? I have detected water worn gold in rock where I could barely see a crack cheers Glenno.
We always look forward to a new video from you. It's cold winter in Canada, and we love seeing your Tasmanian landscape. The cinematography is extraordinary and your storytelling is just wonderful. Thanks! Looking forward to Part 2!
Don't listen to the non-believers about planting gold and I don't mind the music at all. You only cut in at the moments when you find something you're excited about. I look forward to the next video. Keep up the good fight Rob.
i prefer no music, i like the natural sounds, but music during intro, end and panoramic scenes work well. i just really enjoy all of yours and Levi's videos, the prospecting is great, but my favourites are when you are off in search for a specific something, ie huts, gravestones etc. A great sense of purpose and landscape. Love it all.
Rob, being a sniper myself I can attest that this is the real thing. You can't fake this. Excellent and much appreciated. Music or not makes no difference, you do great work. Thanks and keep it up.
Hi Rob, no music is best I believe especially with the sound of nature in the rain forest and the water stream, great show and a great piece of the world to let us be apart of , thanks 🙏🏼, I’ve got gold fever after watching your show, cheers Dude 👍.
Love the video! As for the music I think i like some but not all the time. I love the extra phone clips as it pics up so much more detail. the geology amazing to look at. Thanks for another adventure. Can't wait for more!
Absolutely love the content Rob! So grateful I found your page. Such a cool thing when you enjoy something so much you love watching others do it as well. Fell into gold panning at age 30 and over a decade later im still hooked. Keep it up pall
Without the music it's like you're taking us along, the music is a wake up call reminding us that we're just not there (exceptions flying a drone or driving scenery etc.), the sounds of sniping for gold is the real deal.
This is absolutely amazing. Your excitement is contagious. Can really see the love you have for the water and what you do. Finding spots like this is what it’s all about and being able to follow you and watch your adventure is priceless.
A great video Rob, very well done, yes I like the natural sounds rather than music during the action part of the video. Seven hours in that cold water a big effort, keep up the great work.
Good to see you back at it Rob and whether you have music or not does not faze me mate it's all good nice haul for your part one. I shall look forward to part two.
Nice job Rob! Great discovery. And Well done not adding the music ( this really lets us the viewers see and hear what your going through, you struggles and success) keep it up sir.
Oh Rob your videos are so much better without music. I love to hear the water and natural sounds. Brilliant videos by the way. Your so lucky to be able to travel to these destinations and to find wonderful gold in all sorts of places.. keep up the good work. So many people enjoy your videos and the information you give us about the old days. Thanks so much for your hard work 😊
Hi Rob, another great video, the lack of music just doesn't matter, just lable your videos ASMR, the natural sounds are just so good. Cheers and thanks.
I prefer the sounds of nature. I have never turned a vid off because there was no music, only because the music was annoying. Save yourself the bother of sourcing and editing something that half your audience can't stand.
Can confirm :) absolutely love ALL the videos, but music is but annoying 😂 much prefer the birds tweeting, sticks breaking and air bubbling out of a snorkel 👌
I agree there is no need for high impact music with crescendos and synthetic noises. The sound of the bush and water flowing is all that's needed. Tassie style.
Gday Rob,absolutely love watching whatever you produce and that seems like a common theme I guess it’s like any art form everyone gets something different out of whatever they are viewing, I personally love the balance you seem to strike ,I’m older but have a younger daughter who was passing the TV screen and asked me who’s that and I said it’s my Mate Rob !!!! She’s now a convert and on those days we are together she says has Rob got any new adventures (so I’m eternally grateful for something we can share together 😊) Music or not.Cheers Shane
I like the music but I also like just straight up listening to how it is. I could go either way, I think your choice of music and editing is great. Your cinematography is great too. Do whatever works best for you. You know we're going to come back and watch it either way.
I love the natural sound, but also like your choice of music in other videos- if its bad I just mute it and watch (not happened on your channel). As long as the sound volume/spikes are consistent throughout the videos, I don't see (..hear..?) why there would be an issue. Great vid and looking forward to the next one, really appreciate your efforts to share such awesome(truly) sights and finds!
Hi Rob, this is awesome. So happy for you. Can’t believe people are so jaded that they say this is fake. They obviously don’t know much about Australia and how hard these places are to get to. Great job!
Hi Rob Intro music great, but nothing when your in the water and around the camp , touring around central west Tassie at the moment, loving it. Thanks Rob
The natural sounds of everything is better. Hearing the sounds under the water of you scraping out gold are like one of those unusually satisfying things. You could put little happy songs in between things here and there but yes its nice to listen to the natural sounds and your commentary. You are so lucky to be able to get gold like that, that is one of the easiest ways you could ever find gold.
Hey Rob I really enjoyed the natural sounds of sniping out in nature, with the noise of the water trickling past and the sound of the gold being sucked up the snuffer. I find it very therapeutic and it's what I love about getting out there hunting for shiny treasure. I also enjoy a bit of music over some b roll clips too. Love your content keep it up and happy hunting 🤙
@8:14 there's a little bit of gold between the dark rock and the bedrock which I think you missed but when there's that much easy gold to be had you can leave some for next time 👍💚💛❤️
Natural sounds are always better when it's as clear as yours. Not so much when it's muffled though. I wondered why everyone was commenting on the music 👍👌
Bro, I love your content. You are me in a different time in a different country. In my youth, I often wondered who I'd be like if I was born elsewhere other than the USA. I love exploring and gold...lol. But, the adventure is the reward because of the wisdom you get from it. Hey man look. This is your channel. You can never go wrong with music. Those who critiqued that music takes away from your art are probably the most loneliness of the lonely. I mean, who doesn't like music? So I say brother do what your heart says and what you feel best for your channel. I do like the sounds of the water and environment, but, man, you won't go wrong adding in some music. Take care brohamsa.... San Antonio, Texas
I like both the sounds of nature and music. When you are hiking through incredible landscapes I love the music ! A story requires some emotion and music helps. I like your choices.
I’m happy with both you have a great choice of music in all your other videos and I do love the natural sounds personally just produce content you love and it shows when we watch it
Hey Rob, great trip, congrats. In relation to the music, I really appreciate the music overlay you provide, I agree that if it is heaps more work or expense then you probably don’t need it. But I like it with music better. End of the day you are the creative and the filmmaker, trust your judgement! Great as always!
Love the bubbly exclamations the colours and sworls of the bedrock the sounds of the water all in a magic setting, fantastic, thanks for the adventure love your work✌️🥰
Hey brother Rob, I have always loved your films and am thankful for your sharing of your adventures & travels, but like any good movie it is always accompanied with a good music score and you never disappoint man... Music in is best.... Thank you man... 👊🏽
Hey mate been really enjoying your videos and yes the long stretches of let's say unusual song selections haha were a bit much for me and I found I was skipping through the videos. There's something calming about your narration and the general storytelling of the videos that makes it a great watch just on its own. Thanks for the great content mate.
thanks for mostly leaving the music out! some occasional , short music doesnt bother me. but its about the volume and duration. cheers for the great content! sitting here on the other side of the globe, amazed by the quality of your channle
I've loved your choice of music right when I noticed your channel, and found it great to have as background music along the beautiful nature shots, and accompanied with stories of the old timers during my work hours. So to me... Keep the music. But now I'm a fan of the channel, I'm a fan with or without! =D
I liked your choices on music. I enjoy the speak and sounds of the environment. Your explanations and excitement. The whole program is so well done its probably just the audience. Thanks for the consideration and well done on the gettin part.... Be well Friend and pinch Lil Bubba 😉 Scott
Thanks for sharing the adventure, and great work. If I could offer some feedback on gold I think you’re missing, in areas where nuggets are concentrating like at 7:15 , 13:11, 14:01 etc it’d be worthwhile adding a chisel, or a pry bar like a Estwing - GP18 Gad and rock hammer to your pack so you can break all every bit of that bedrock. From experience I’ve found lots of gold a foot deep or more in crevices like those shown. Especially in quartz veins like the ones shown that could have hidden vugs full of pickers, again from experience sniping and dredging. Don’t want to see you passing over good gold! Thanks again for posting.
I like the sounds of nature when filming in natural settings.
Sound of nature?...what scratching, bubbling sounds. Neither of them are natural , but manmade.
I love the natural sounds! I don’t mind music when you are talking an overview.
One of the things that sets you apart from pretty much every other prospector on YT is your cinematography and how you show your perspective through various lenses. Music or no music, your storytelling is Excellent. WITH THAT SAID, your choice of music is awesome.
I couldn’t agree more. Rob, you and your videos are genuine and amazing. Tasmania is definitely on my to do list.
Raw audio is the best, that way we feel like we are in there with you. Thanks
Great gold Rob, yeah better without music, 👍✨✨✨🏴
Hey Rob , personally I've alway thought your productions are impeccable and really appreciate your selection of music which creates a totally immersive viewer experience. Thanks
I like a mix, saying that you and Levi when play music both choose the right volume. Keep doing what you're doing bruz it's awesome 👍🏼
Just awesome Rob thank you for taking me along,it was epic
Great video Rob right on 16 minutes u can see a nice piece of gold in the bottom right hand corner on the single clip and worked away from it ,just wondered whether u picked it up? I have detected water worn gold in rock where I could barely see a crack cheers Glenno.
I saw that too !!!
This is one of the few channels that are not fake. Anyone who calls this fake is just a jealous hater or troll who needs discipline in their life.
🎉🎉🎉VERDADE 🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🥳🥳🙌🙌🙌
We always look forward to a new video from you. It's cold winter in Canada, and we love seeing your Tasmanian landscape. The cinematography is extraordinary and your storytelling is just wonderful. Thanks! Looking forward to Part 2!
I love the natural sound of being under water and the sounds of the river while being out bush
Thanks for sharing your adventure Rob. Cheers
Great stuff Rob - thank you music good, narure and narration even better, you decide I'm addicted either way
Fantastic video. No music is as good as the sound of nature. Great job, Rob .
Don't listen to the non-believers about planting gold and I don't mind the music at all. You only cut in at the moments when you find something you're excited about. I look forward to the next video. Keep up the good fight Rob.
With or without music, your videos are ACE!
Glad to see you've started using a hammock.
Great way to get a comfortable sleep.
Keep the videos coming!
I loved the cinematic nature of your video, with the right music selection. 👍
What a honey hole Rob, Nice nuggets and pickers. Yes enjoy the natural sounds as opposed to background music. Keep up the search!
i prefer no music, i like the natural sounds, but music during intro, end and panoramic scenes work well. i just really enjoy all of yours and Levi's videos, the prospecting is great, but my favourites are when you are off in search for a specific something, ie huts, gravestones etc. A great sense of purpose and landscape. Love it all.
I love to hear the natural sounds during your videos. Your enthusiasm when you find gold adds a special element.
Rob, being a sniper myself I can attest that this is the real thing. You can't fake this. Excellent and much appreciated. Music or not makes no difference, you do great work. Thanks and keep it up.

Very nice outcome!! See ya on the next adventure.
You pick great music, it really sets the tone for the video. My husband says ' it's your channel, you do what YOU want'.
Love the video! As for the music I think i like some but not all the time. I love the extra phone clips as it pics up so much more detail. the geology amazing to look at. Thanks for another adventure. Can't wait for more!

Thanks 👍 I prefer the videos with natural sound but I’ve watched a lot of your videos and never got annoyed with the music. Cheers 🏴
Honestly, I prefer to hear you commentate over hearing music. I like your videos either way, but the story telling and descriptions are awesome.
Your music soundtracks to the productions and track selections are the bomb. Some people have no idea
I had been thinking for a while that I preferred the search without music. I thought it was just me. I'm glad you changed back.
Rob, your choice of music is very good. It adds atmosphere and fits well with the great editing and content you create for us.
Many thanks.
AWESOME Rob!!! Love hearing just you and nature...that's music to my ears!! Can't wait for part 2❣️
Hello Rob.
I prefer the natural sound of the rocks and water with voice over with tidbit if info.
Where can I buy your nuggets to support your cause?
subscribed Rob. Its really cool to watch your gold finding Rob.
A great video Rob, very well done, yes I like the natural sounds rather than music during the action part of the video. Seven hours in that cold water a big effort, keep up the great work.

Yah I can’t hear it over my background music so
I agree there is no need for high impact music with crescendos and synthetic noises. The sound of the bush and water flowing is all that's needed. Tassie style.
Some nice Gold there Rob in a magic looking bit of bush ,and that Quartz looked pretty nice as well .Can't wait for episode 2.

I hadn't noticed "no music" until you mentioned it. I must say the natural noises are fine with your narration.
I like the music but I also like just straight up listening to how it is. I could go either way, I think your choice of music and editing is great. Your cinematography is great too. Do whatever works best for you. You know we're going to come back and watch it either way.
Your selection of music is fine. Both presentations are good.

Hi Rob, this is awesome. So happy for you. Can’t believe people are so jaded that they say this is fake. They obviously don’t know much about Australia and how hard these places are to get to. Great job!
Good work Rob, cant wait for the next instalment!

Good Luck from USA

물론 너캣 작은거 있고요.
파퓨아뉴키니섬 이쪽은 좋은 너캣들 나오던데..
미국,캐나다,호주,파퓨아뉴카니는 너캣 많네..
The right music can ad suspense and therefore participation in the entire process....😊
What kind of kit do you use for all your gold panning and such? Can you link it in the description ?
Love the sound of work underwater. Prefer no music, but do what makes you happy.
Amazing mate, she’s still producing. Do what you reckon with your videos mate, you’ve got a gift when it comes to that sort of thing.
Good stuff mate , it's heaps better with no music it sounds like you're actually there , just the raw sounds of the bush
Love the bubbly exclamations the colours and sworls of the bedrock the sounds of the water all in a magic setting, fantastic, thanks for the adventure love your work✌️🥰
I love your calming music!
Hey brother Rob, I have always loved your films and am thankful for your sharing of your adventures & travels, but like any good movie it is always accompanied with a good music score and you never disappoint man... Music in is best.... Thank you man... 👊🏽
I definitely like the natural sounds. Not too Hot, Not too cold...Just right !
Definitely prefer the videos without music. I always watch regardless but I enjoy just hearing the natural sounds while your under water.
Never noticed that there was no music until you mentioned it. Good episode.
Great video Rob. I vote for no music as well. I like hearing the natural sounds.
I have been binging your vids and truthfully I didn’t notice there was no music until you said.
Keep it natural
Hey mate been really enjoying your videos and yes the long stretches of let's say unusual song selections haha were a bit much for me and I found I was skipping through the videos. There's something calming about your narration and the general storytelling of the videos that makes it a great watch just on its own. Thanks for the great content mate.
Great content Rob, music is fine for me keep on doing what your doing it,s Gold :)

Music is perfect!!!
I’d never minded the music before, but I liked this with just the sounds of you digging at the rock!
Love your videos man!!
Love seeing the quarts veins running through the stream bed, good gold country, great video! Hello from Fletchers Lake, Nova Scotia, Canada.😀👌👍✌
Music free is cooler. Hearing the scraping and water is awesome. Thanks for the efforts!
I liked your choices on music. I enjoy the speak and sounds of the environment. Your explanations and excitement.
The whole program is so well done its probably just the audience.
Thanks for the consideration and well done on the gettin part....
Be well Friend and pinch Lil Bubba 😉
Scott
love your vids rob... great work. yep no music is pretty good. feels like I am there with just the sound of the river.
Great videos Rob. Prever with less music. Sound of nature is best. You are a real ambassadeur for Tasminia same as Levi. Thank you👍👍👍
Hey mate music or no music doesn’t matter,i for one just enjoy the content cheers buddy.
