- This episode is my first ride in Morocco! I am quickly leaving Tanger Med, and I am riding to Chefchaouen, through the beautiful Rif Mountains. Riding a motorcycle in Morocco in February means chances of encountering snow, so I have to ride carefully! But will I even make it up the Rif mountains if the toll gates don't open?

The hospitality is huge in Morocco and amongst Moroccans. I’ve lived with them in my neighbourhood.
Not to exaggerate but there is little chance you'll find the specialness of Morocco anywhere in the world, it's just too mesmerising. The people, the nature, the architecture, the history, the food!!!! The atmosphere, the panoramic skies and views! Blessed!

I like Morocco very much we used to go every year from 1982 to the early 90s. We went to the South where the buildings were red rather than blue. It is a beautiful country.

I was in chefchaouen with my wife and kids a few years back whilst touring around Morocco. It was the most amazing place and I couldn't help but take lots of photos as the blues were stunning. Every photo was special, showing the huge range of blues from freshly painted to really worn and flaking. One of our many highlights from the trip.
What I love most about all Noraly's videos is that they are such a contradiction to the usual doom-and-gloom you get from every other source; all we ever hear about most parts of the world area about the thieves, conmen, cheats, nutters, corrupt officials etc, etc. Noraly shows us that, in general, people are the same the world over and the majority are kind, helpful, friendly. So refreshing...
You are soooo correct. Nice to be able to see the good side of people.
Every Noraly's encounter fix my hope in humanity.
TRUTH :))
Noraly, if you can get a small, but strong, magnet (rare earth) stick it on the bottom of your bike. Your ignition does not produce a strong enough magnetic (electric?) field to trip the sensor. It is not tripped by weight. I had to do the same for my Honda PCX 150 in the ‘States. Good travels. Stay safe. Congratulations on the start of your 7th season🙂
That is my experience of most folks in the world
Morocco is surprising everybody. It exceeded my expectations as well.

It's not that safe. There's plenty of theft and no small amount of violence in Casablanca. The country was subject to high level attacks by extremists and there have been several high profile murders of foreign tourists in recent years.
Plus, the touts in the tourist areas and the taxi drivers mostly see foreigners (and anyone else) as prey.

I am so impressed with how clean the town and country is. There is no litter and everything seems so well cared for and orderly. Why do you suppose that is.? It saddens me that most urban areas I have seen in America are not this way.
It’s the culture. Up north in Morocco being clean is part of the culture. Not all places are prefect but churchman is one the cleanest cities in the world.
When visiting Morocco, Chefchaouen is highly recommended. It was one of the highlights of our trip to Morocco last year. Staying in a AirBnB inside the medina worked out well for us. We found that walking in the medina and the surrounding hills up to the mosque on the mountain made a great outing. The medina is fairly easy to navigate unlike the much larger medina in Fes, which we found hard to navigate. There is also a historical building near the main square which is now a museum. The garden there is beautiful and we had a wonderful encounter with the garden keeper who is such a nice man and who cares deeply about his work.
The history behind the blue paint is so interesting. What an interesting place. Happy and safe travels Noraly.

I didn't imagine seeing snow in Morocco, while in my city here in Germany, I haven't seen snow at all this winter !
@@aris1956 It’s not uncommon. We also get snow in the mountains of my country, South Africa every winter and our winter temperatures drop to freezing overnight. Greetings all 👋👋🇿🇦
@@lindadavies6109 The somewhat strange fact is that there where you expect it, you don't see snow, and instead where you don't expect it, you see everything white. For example in my country in Italy (while I live here in Germany) this year there is snow in various parts of Sicily, or on the beach in Rimini, while here in Germany it is left to be desired. Once it was the other way around.

Welcome to Morocco and welcome to anyone 🇲🇦🇲🇦❤❤
Loved it! You were probably there about two or three weeks before I was. I traveled 25 hours to Casablanca all the way from Hawai'i. Immediately took the bullet train to Tangier, then two "grand taxis" to Chefchaouen, via Tetuoan. I stayed about 4 days there simply absorbing the laid back vibe, exploring the ever picturesque old medina. The little plaza you showed just before the gate you entered into the medina was precisely where I lodged. For me Chefchaouen was a hassle free, relaxed way to ease into Morocco. From here I traveled to Fes, but not before visiting the Roman ruins of Volubilis north of Meknes. Fes was a whole nother animal. The medina there is no joke! Neither were the merchants. In all I'd stay a whole month in Morocco and overall I had an amazing time. I look forward to exploring the rest of your Moroccan videos and beyond . . .
This city walk is amazing, I felt like traveling back in history of its glorious past.
Morocco reminds me with the wonderful movie 'Casablanca', my all time favorite.
Because it is 😂
Moroccan people are gentle with the kindest hospitality ever seen worldwide, this has a relationship with the culture diversity, old history & the deep respect extended towards the visitors whatever their race, religion or citizenships might be.

As Moroccans we thank you for this video! Only one point regarding the houses' architecture and Blue/White color, it has been like that since 1492 when Arabs/Morisco came back from Andalucia (especially Granada), and you will see this same architecture in Rabat (kasbah oudaya) and Salé especially where the Moriscos installed. The jewish came after second world war, they lived in what is called "Melah" and has nothing to do with the architecture of Chefchaouen.
Nice adventure, and welcome to Morocco!
