This is honestly the best tutorial ive found on this song. He's really straightforward and takes time to explain. Im just having difficulty with turning the E to a C ;(((
thanks so much! take your time with the tuning. start by going to a D then go to C. if you're doing it by ear then match to the open D string. If youre doing it with a tuner then do it with slow turns. Let the tuner register what pitch it is before going lower
I didn't have a tuner which tuned to notes other than E, A, G and D so I just put the capo on the first fret, tuned to an E, then moved it up to the second, did that again, and continued until the 4th fret. When you take the capo off, the note will be a C.

@@duckeey300 thanks!
here ya go! ua-cam.com/video/gA-VEEJKVCQ/v-deo.html
this is the first song ive ever learned and this video made it SO EASY!! definitely coming back to learn from you
hey! I love all your tutorials, they're some of the best I've seen. could you maybe take a look at the French song Meimuna by Meimuna? the song is beautiful and I've wanted to learn it ever since I first heard it. could you maybe make a tutorial on it later? thanks!
in the first part what strings are you plucking? great video btw
currently having a mental breakdown whilst trying to do this.
Its not hard, but i dont have patience and either do the fingerstyle too slow or too fast and I will cry
Take ur time and slow down. Music isn’t a race to the finish. If you burn out take a break for 5min. A brain can only focus full capacity for a short period of time so breaks help practice
@@JustinRothberg K, just ate, drank my water and back to suffering!
Hi, I'm learning this song, but when I do the G and B or first and second finger, it sounds different. am I doing it wrong or am I not fast enough?
im having trouble with tuning low E to a C. ive seen people say it should be a -20 in guitar tuna but the sound does not match at all...
Try starting on E and slowly tune down till it says Eb or D# (same note). Then D. Then Db or C# (same note). Then C
@@JustinRothberg thank you so much, your tutorials are amazing
hello, ik this comment is very late but what type of capo do you recommend to beginners? im thinking about getting a guitar and im interested in playing these type of songs. thank you 😅
@@wockykong for a beginner any affordable capo will do. Shub is my favorite.
Its rlly rlly amazing..but I have a problem :c
W the chords, near the end of this video, the main chorus part.
I don't understand what accords are you playing qwq.. sorry..
Umh.. is there a way to explain it to me? qvq
Im dumb, sorry-
You’re definitely not dumb. I’d say start with an easier song first. Find something you can understand. Then move back to this one
i know you probably wont see this but i'm a little confused about the end. he starts singing "there's a reason, that London puts barriers on the tube line" at the DUD pause DUD pause DUDUDUDU DUDUDUDU after that the song continues. do you just repeat the same thing until the song is over? i could be just crazy.
hey there. I know the part you're referring too. Around 14:00 in the vid? Its the same chords I describe in the section before but you change the strumming pattern to what you mention above. I made it a little vague on purpose. :)
heyyy, can u do change ( in the house of flies ) by deftones? its a lil difficult for me
bro my string just killed itself
LOL
i cant strum properly of the first strumming bit the chords make a buzzing noise and its very aggravating. :( could anyone help that knows why?
Hard to say without hearing it. Could be the guitar or you’re not fretting correctly
I don't understand how you get the E string to a C? My tuner just says it goes to a D or a B, and then it becomes too loose. And I try doing it by ear and it just doesn't sound similar at all?
Please help me, I'm really confused.
Sounds like your tuner is set to only guitar strings. See if your tuner has a chromatic option or use one that does. There’s a bunch online
For me:
where I have it up to, 10:52
where I stopped practicing, 10:52
Hey I can't tune the E to a C i don't have a tuner how do i do it is there any app you would recommend
not sure. try a few high rated ones
What’s the best capo to use
They all work fine but the shub is the best for staying in tune quickly
i know im a bit late to this but im having a lot of trouble with the tuning. could anyone recommend and tuning apps that can help me with the kind of tuning needed for this song?
theres so many out there. Id say any app with strong reviews is good
i do exact the same but it doesn’t sound the same. is that bc i just have to learn it or do i just something wrong. i will just keep trying
hard to say without hearing it. maybe go over it a few times and double check. I'll help if I can.

I’m really struggling with the crescendo part, it’s not the volume but the finger position and the mute string and missing the E string, any tips?
practice it slow and right. only speed it up and move on when you have the part correct.
