Knocked off the leaderboard last week by American Geoguessr player "RC", I was determined to bounce back, return the favour and maybe even get in and around Samiam's brand spanking sub 5 minute effort.

Hello
its the same video?
It’s “Sam I Am”
The transition between future Tom and current Tom was *chefs kiss*
yeah i was just listening at that point and didn’t even notice
you mean the one in the beginning? In the end it's still future Tom, He just put his webcam on, you can see that there's a jump cut
@@mudgatebronn4438 no at the end
@@IanCannonPiano oh well like I said that was no transition between future Tom and present Tom
@@mudgatebronn4438 they’re just saying that at 8:18 it goes from voiceover to present Tom really seamlessly
Tom: “buses are not reliable you can never read the matrix on them”
*Tom 2 seconds later:* reads the bus matrix
@@AxxLAfriku shut up. Why are you trying to revive a dead channel by spamming comments? Not rlly a good look for you just saying.
@@tombutterworth7276 dead channel?
@@kyupin1075 he means AxxL’s channel, not Toms
@@ventreal4292 that would make more sense, thanks lol
*he’s beginning to believe*
Tom, your presentation voice is on par with top sports presenters. I almost thought I was watching match of the day for a split second as you started.
Ya he's got the perfect voice and disposition for it
Wouldn’t be mad if the man narrated my life
Mate he sounds like Gary Neville!
@@Alto53 he does lol! World Cup 2022.... narrated by future Tom himself.
I love it when he breaks records and is on the leaderboard. Feel like I've won with him haha!
Yes, we all hold a small share of that leaderboard with him😂
Just checked and he's already out. Gotta make a sub-05:27 to reach THIRD now. WR is currently 03:43 by Samiam.
"That's a devastating sight, a dual carriageway" I love this channel.
8:13 that transition was beautiful
Living in West Didsbury, I was screaming at the TV in that second round! Was not expecting to see our little slice of Manchester on the channel. It’s a great place for a pint so if you’re ever in the area Tom! Great effort
Every British town name is so aggressively British.
Wenderflemingburytonfieldtoft
Edit: forgot to add 'folkshire' at the end
Adding to this -cester, -ham, -stead
Well, the ones that aren't Welsh or Scottish
@@reggiedixon2Yeah, I was a little too quick to use "Every", so take the word very lightly.
Most of our place names are actually from the many people who invaded us over the years. I doubt very many of our place names are truly British.
@@VodkaSelekta That is a hilariously self-contradictory statement. A moment's reflection should result in realising that we are very likely the descendants of the "invaders". Maybe watching "Coming over here" by Stewart Lee and the Asian Dub Foundation might help clear this up.
I'm pretty sure "Samiam" is called "Sam I Am" - just FYI.
I'm sure he'll get it eventually...
It's easier to say Samiam tbf
@CamperVan Beethoven he's good at geoguessr
@CamperVan Beethoven You get good at things by doing them a lot.
@CamperVan Beethoven i bet youre fun at parties
Deja vu :D Really good score! Well done!

I watched this then it vanished, now it is back. Good effort. Ah an on screen timer was added.
That is wild when you started the second round I thought it was Manchester, and about 5 seconds later going past Burton Off-Licence I realised the start point was about 300 yards from a house I lived in a year ago. Mental. Love Withington, sorry it was such a tricky round!
Same - I've lived in a few places around West Didsbury and Withington - the only time I've ever identified the location quicker than Tom!
It's the GMPTE / TfGM bus signs that made it for me. Tom could've got it way sooner if he'd've zoomed into any of the millions he sped past.
“It’s pay back time ... in the most friendly possible way”
GG's! Looking forward to all the submissions that will be coming in! Cant wait for all of the future UK Speed runs to be sub 5 minutes!
Another attempt for me to watch, as a person who never even plays the game but LOVES your vids, for some odd reason.....
yeah i love watching too, i tried playin geoguessr but i suck
Crazy seeing the Withington one. Live five minutes from there and the first one I've recognised from the start
Wow, just wanna say the editing at around 8 1/2 minutes going from future tom to present tom made me crack a smile in enjoyment. Tom you're a legend man, wanna wish you the best from across the (smaller) pond, hou je haaks vriend, from the Netherlands!
It's pretty cool seeing you get a round in Withington since I lived there for a few years at Uni. First time I've seen a round that close to anywhere I've lived!
How funny, with the manchester one, I thought to myself at the start "those houses look like my uncles house in Didsbury" when you got the road I googled it and its 6 mins away from where he lived! Loving the videos mate!
Glad to see you added a timer! Good run Tom.
I’m absolutely apoplectic with rage that you just said Tom that you’re not too sure exactly where Mabletherpe in the U.K. Such a nice seaside town, except from last time I visited, someone was stabbed to death on the same street that I was eating fish and chips on, but we can gloss over that part.
Understated guy and love the competitiveness!Much love Tom😇😇
I think round 4 is the first time I've recognized one of these UK locations from real life as I must have driven through it 1000 times. There's a couple large RAF bases used by Americans right up the A11.
that Manchester round was instantly familiar. took that 147 bus pretty much every day when I lived in Fallowfield
also congrats on the good round, Tom!
Watched a states streak video from a few years ago this morning and you mentioned that you “finally passed 1000 subscribers”. Happy for the growth of your channel, Tom! Excited for mission across Scotland.
Wow, you started on the street I lived on in my last year of uni in Manchester. Been watching geovids on yt for years and this is the first time it's ever been on a street I've lived on/house I've lived in!
Yet again, great tips I took from this. Future tom explains it so much better. I get so much more from your videos now buddy
This is the greatest reupload of all time
That feeling when your Nan’s village is one of the locations 🥰
love this format, its very exciting :-D
Your content is so addictive man. I click on your videos instantly
I live in Ringwood and fully freaked out seeing that in the last round. Well done Tom!
I don't comment often but I m watching constantly GeoWizard's videos and I'm starting hearing his voice inside my head during daily routines
For future reference, those houses are so south Manchester
Yeah knew that straight away
I somehow knew that after only being there once
At 4:04 right? Could only be It
I thought Manchester straight away too or possibly some parts of South Liverpool. Its definitely a North West thing painting the red brick houses a slightly different shade of red
He literally got dropped right outside my old uni house. Had to do a double take!
Well done mate, get in!
Good man Tom! Hope you get the top spot soon
just what I needed before falling asleep
Excellent commentary
liking the voiceover commentary!
That transition at the end from future Tom to present Tom was perfect
this is exactly what my tuesday evening needed
4:27 - Amazed at how recent that streetview footage must be.
A lot of the UK is 2020 imagery now, i've started seeing Covid social distancing signs a lot whilst playing UK maps on geoguessr.
I thought that when I saw the playstation add on the bus
You can actually see that it is a 2021 image on the bottom right corner. Pretty impressive ngl
@@GeorgeBratley my town is still 2009! which they would update it round here
Im not gunne lie, your voiceovers are just as good as ur normal commentries
Tom, its great to see you and this community grow. I can't wait to see the day, years from now, when you've retired from geoguessing having won a fortune in tournament money, sponsorship deals and risin to the top as an underdog. Now for the pure love of game and with ur commentating prowess you can commentate full time while you talk about the power of the youth and the minutiae of the world while your own two up and comer children compete in the NMPZ world challenge. I root for you Tom and I root for future Tom and little future Tom and Tomasina too. May the good rounds come in bunches and stay cheeky Amen
Real ones know this is a reupload
Awesome stuff Tom
Great video! FYI I believe the number one on the leaderboard is Sam I am, as in Dr. Seuss
Great respect again!
My favourite Geoguesser UA-camr and that's including myself haha, inspired and helped me by showing it's possible to have a good channel based around Geoguessr, can't thank you enough
I have nothing to say really, but I appreciate your content, and wish to help with the yt-algorithms.
Ayyy I used to live in Withington, you went past the end of my old street haha! Brings back some good memories :') Great job Tom, smashed it!
congrats mate!
Awesome game man! GG
Fabulous vid mate good game
I think if you get a round that you had before and you can remember where that was then more power to you. Nicely done.
you are insanely good at geo guessing!!
What madness is this, that's literally my last flat on the right at 4:24.
I live very close to Withington, I was buzzing hahah!
And you've already been knocked to third place! dang kids!
Great game. #2 in the world! To get after 5 min you got to have some repeats, wether you like it or not, you should still be proud of your performance
third round, bridlington and hull shoutouts are probably the closest tom is ever going to get to where i live so that was a nice little surprise! :)
I drove through Kilham today, weirdly exciting seeing somewhere you know pop up 😂
You're getting better, Tom! I believe in you.
LETS GOOO! Love your videos Tom!
Twice I've watched your videos now and you've landed right outside somewhere I've either worked or lived
Well done, well done indeed...
Ey never expected to see my shop on the channel! Come to Lentils and Lather in Withington Manchester for all your 0 waste refill needs haha
This really hits different the second time you watch it
Just a quick tip, the bus signs in the areas of Greater Manchester always have the 'M' on the bus stops
Wow two places I’m very familiar with - Ringwood and South Manchester! Never happened before!
Well done Tom. I reckon you've definitely got a sub 5:00 in your Arsenal.
brilliant tom
Well done
Here for the reupload ;)
Nice one mate!
I live near Ringwood, was confused when you got it again!
RC was entertaining. I watched his video the day it was released.
That guy is honestly next level
Thanks :)
Nice job Tom!
Hey Tom , I love that you put effort and put a timer in ..but maybe it's personal preference but
I like the thrill of watching not knowing if you would get it or not ..keeps me on the edge of my seat , and a timer being there just ruins that moment . Keep up the amazing work , hope you have a great day
Great job mate :)
I'll never stop dying at how Tom says "Sam I Am"
Future Tom has proven to be the best addition to the channel
No way, I lived in fallowfield, down the road from Withington when I was at uni. Instantly recognised the buses and that saino's
Manchester looks so distinct to me, the second it popped up I knew it was Manchester
Worth looking at a few of the bus stop signs perhaps - obviously trying to read different stops is a nightmare but that curly M in round two gives greater manchester away straight away, thats the GMPTE logo. West Yorkshire has a distinctive design too, and Merseytravel (all Ms but very different and recognisable designs, and they're on most bus stops). London instantly recognisable of course too.
Had to go and watch RC’s after my hometown of Mablethorpe making an appearance. I’m not surprised you haven’t heard of it to be honest. Up there with one of the most shitty depressing, run-down seaside towns in the county. Nice beach though😂
I live 2 minutes from the junction on the A1307 you identified. I had to sit up when I heard it.
This guy is a wizard at GeoGuessr
whos gonna tell him it's pronounced sam-i-am not sammyam
Come on Tom, Burton's a lot rougher than that street in round two haha!
Great game! You did lose almost 30 seconds on the Cambridge round after putting down your marker and never moving it again. I think to get under 5 minutes you will need to take those gambles quicker and hope for the best...Good luck!
i cant believe how good this guy is wtf
Best content bratan!
Tom you should try Canadian provinces streak that would be such a fun video. 😎👍
I’d like to see a head to head with Tom vs future Tom
Ah cool I used to live on the curry mile recognised it a mile off.
God round 4 is litterally my home patch amazing ;D
Knew the second round was manchester! First time he's got somewhere I'm from in a round
Yep knew it was Withington/didsbury immediately
I live just down the road
It looked like a complete dump, everything was boarded up.
@@koivu11huet39 that's just because of covid, images were from 2020
I knew it was Manchester immediately, and Withington within about 10 seconds. I've been down that Burton Road a few times
Regarding the last round, while the detective work can be fun, you've gotta take the W when if it's offered
