The Joys and Challenges of Spin Fishing for Kahawai - NZ Beach Fishing

Hello and welcome to Basic Fishing from New Zealand. In this video, I was out at an East Coast Beach where the last time I was here, I struggled with surfcasting for big fish so I decided to try a new challenge that I never had done much in a long time: using light tackle spinning gear to target kahawai from the beach. This was totally different from my usual style from the west where I use heavy setups and cast far with baits but its definitely a fun change when fishing off the East Coast Beach
