  • In this video we begin construction of Trumpeters Russian SAM-6 Antiaircraft Missile in 1/35 scale. We'll be concentrating on the suspension and the link and length tracks.
This vehicle is the TEL (Transporter, Erector, Launcher) of the 2K12 Kub air defense system. The system consists of 4 of these launchers, a radar guidance vehicle, 4 trucks containing 3 missiles each for reloads, and a crane to load the missiles. Development of the system began in 1958 and was adopted for use in 1967. Some 500 TELs were manufactured along with more than 10,000 missiles. It is still in use today in the Ukraine being used against the Russians in the Russian Ukraine war.
    This is kit # 00361
I hope you enjoy the video!

That round item at the front is radio connection device to communicate with the radar vehicles in the battery and is painted light grey around the outside of it

Good job on the tracks, Johnny! I built this one a long time ago myself. I don't recall any particular issues; but I'll be following along and if anything jumps out at me I'll give ya a shout!

It seems to be coming together without any real issues, other than the common Trumpeter things that we have come to know and expect. Thanks for tuning in buddy! Johnny

Hello Johnny. Great build as always. Very interesting technique to align and glue the tracks. I'm doing it the same way since I watched your videos. Take care my friend and stay safe. Regards. François 🐕‍🦺🐾

Hi François, I can't take credit for my track assembly method, I stole that from someone else 😁but it is the best way to assemble these link and length track that I have found. So glad that it works for you as well. Thanks so much for watching and supporting the channel, I greatly appreciate it my friend. Have a wonderful weekend and model on! Johnny

Those tracks are quite a bit of work, Johnny. I like how you have fitted it and your approach to checking the length. Looking forward to the next part.
