I have watched almost all of your videos and I love them a lot. I have been building for a couple years now but I took a break and have gotten back into it. If I still lived in arizona I would totally visit your shop everyday just to talk about model building, painting and weathering. Thank you for giving us such great content.
I wanted to add that in my little world it is much easier to see if you need to sand by using gray primer. Those little imperfections pop right out in gray. Much better for me than black. Looks like a great kit. The M10 was a great kit for my first tank. Easy easy easy...fit was good. Thanks for sharing...
Hi Andy! I am 15 and I aspire one day to own a small hobby shop. Any tips? I like your model builds, I build WW2 vehicle models and love watching you do the same!
I love that new way of adding dried mud to the tank and tracks. As always, your stuff looks terrific. Thank you for sharing! Michael Truhett U.S.C.G. Veteran Semper Paratus 🇺🇸
Oooooo.. one of my dream model out of many, it's my dream model because of the working suspension, I try my best just to try to get some parts be able to move
Hey andy great video! Could you build the M18 hellcat from academy one day? Its the coolest-looking tank in my opinion and it would be great addition to your american tank collection
great vid as always, just a couple of things will you be making some planes in the future and when you going to finish the train diorama. keep up the good work
LOOKS GREAT! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THESE VIDEOS! IVE LEARNED A MASSIVE AMOUNT BY WATCHING THAT HAS REALLY HELPED ME PROGRESS MY MODELS & DIORAMAS. QUICK QUESTION: AFTER APPLYING YOUR PIGMENTS & PANEL LINES DID YOU DO A FINAL DULL COTE? IM INTERESTED IN STARTING TO WORK WITH PIGMENTS, BUT WASNT SURE IF THEY'LL STILL HAVE THEIR "POWDERED" LOOK AFTER SPRAYING IT DOWN WITH DULL COTE AT THE VERY END. THANX AGAIN FOR THESE, THEY ARE AN ABSOLUTE TREASURE CHEST OF INFORMATION!!
Greetings Andy from Singapore! You're an inspiration to scale modellers, and you have inspired me to take up the hobby again after decades. At this rate, you'll soon run out of tanks, for sure. I noticed that you have not used Tamiya Panel Lines for your earlier models. Great work!
Try this for weathering take your airbrush using the color of mud and a few inches from.the vehicle point the nozel down and spray the entire length of the vehicle you get a very realistic mud spatter on.the running gear and lower part of vehicle
bonjour au USA..toujours au rendez vous..toujours efficasse ,excellent ..peu tu montré les différentes palette de couleur que tu utilise car j'essaye d être au plus près de ce que tu faits. merci...
Are the academy models harder than Tamiya, as in are they harder to construct and are there considerably more peices? I'm by no means a pro but definitely am not amateur as well. Also if they are could someone tell me other model companies that equal or are close to Tamiya?
Mr P It's good in airbrushing, where the darker base will fill in the detail gaps that the next coat would leave. It's not necessary, since you can go ahead and start putting on your choice color and put a wash over it, but the base coat just gives it a more "mature" look and feel to it.
I don't have experience with airbrushing, but I'd recommend either a primer to undercoat the model or a layer of something to seal it all in. A basecoat can also help certain types of colours pop easier, so a dark undercoat would help any 'dark' colour to look right with less layers, and possibly replace the need to shade. Priming a model is pretty easy and just gives something for the paint to properly latch onto, but isn't completely necessary.
Can you build a b-26 flak bait model that was my great grandfather plane (he was the bombarder/navigator) in WW2 and it was the first United States air plane to fly 200 missions
Anybody else getting ads almost every 4 minutes? Is it just a youtube thing? I don't mind generating some revenue for Andy and the store as I love the videos and know he spends a lot of time on them, but I had 4 ads on this video.

I like the way you show your builds. Very informative, good tips. Now if I could just paint half as decent as you, I would be a happy guy.
Hell yeah! One of my favorite tank destroyers! M36 Slugger/Jackson and it's variants (M36B1 and M36B2).
Great Job Andy! I'll see you Saturday at the Model Show!

The modelers in Phoenix are lucky to have you. Great modeling show.
Very nice! My all time favorite tank!
It’s not a tank, it’s a self-propelled gun. Whole different kettle of fish :D

Oooooo.. one of my dream model out of many, it's my dream model because of the working suspension, I try my best just to try to get some parts be able to move
Another nice build Andy.
Hi Andy for the effect on the front of the tank do you need to use the panel liner or can I use for example the desert dust wash?
Hey andy great video!
Could you build the M18 hellcat from academy one day? Its the coolest-looking tank in my opinion and it would be great addition to your american tank collection

Could you possibly do the Su-76i soon? I'm interested in the Dragon kit and you can sell me on it lol.
Hey Andy, Do you use tamiya's flat clear to protect the paints? is it as effective as clear gloss when it comes to protection?
thanks
yes I do use tamiya flat clear often sometimes I use Testors dull coat as well. Tamiya is very good at protection

Hey Andy, what's your opinion on Academy from Dragon or Tamiya models?
💯👌
You should build a leman russ battle tank from games workshop , would be interesting to see
Nice!
Try this for weathering take your airbrush using the color of mud and a few inches from.the vehicle point the nozel down and spray the entire length of the vehicle you get a very realistic mud spatter on.the running gear and lower part of vehicle
what pigment? good job

I see you are using the green glue, I use the orange glue and I'm not to keen on the performance. What is the difference in the two glues.

Hey mate! What colour do you use for the wood parts attached to the tools???????
I used xf59 desert yellow with a few washes of brown panel wash from Tamiya
Hey Andy, what time do you close on Saturday's? My mother in law is getting married in Glendale in March.
Are the academy models harder than Tamiya, as in are they harder to construct and are there considerably more peices?
I'm by no means a pro but definitely am not amateur as well.
Also if they are could someone tell me other model companies that equal or are close to Tamiya?

SALUDOS ANDE DESDE BANFIELD R.A
is it nescessary to have a coat color before I paint the model?
Mr P It's good in airbrushing, where the darker base will fill in the detail gaps that the next coat would leave. It's not necessary, since you can go ahead and start putting on your choice color and put a wash over it, but the base coat just gives it a more "mature" look and feel to it.

Another thing is I work with airbrush but most of the time I paint the model right away no primer
nice

Hi there must be an error on youtube ,there are only two ads on this video.
No worries, it was more of an inquiry rather than a complaint...Like I said, I know the ads help pay for things.
Thank you for watching. I appreciate it.
MY privilege! Thank YOU for spending all the time making the videos!
Or get better tracks
