Congrats on your book, Anna! I just upgraded my paint and joined your patreon so that I can learn to use them well. I will eventually purchase the book too. Thank you for being such a wonderful teacher. ❤
Hello Anna, wow, how beautiful you painted this cute little squirrel!❤ The intricate details you used is amazing and so perfect! I have to say that your painting is even more beautiful than the photo! Thank you for sharing! Helene
Thank you so much Helene! I was originally planning something small but got so into it that I ended up giving it a backdrop and all the details 😊 wishing you a wonderful weekend!
Got here late but got here 😊 You have a delicious style of painting that keeps me hungry for more. I kept watching you paint the fur and was amazed at your confidence in placing down the strokes upon strokes upon strokes ❤
This is one of your best videos to date. Thank you for showing more about how you developed the painting in layers, complete with inset comparison photos of the stages as layers and details were added. Very comprehensive. And of course, the painting is beautiful :)
Thank you for letting me know!!! I usually add it in my tutorials but this time decided to also include here and I am glad to hear it’s helpful 😊 will keep this in my for future videos!
Love this video! I hope you will do more animals for us. I also loved your deer painting which I did and gave to my son and his wife for Christmas last year. I think I may paint another one for myself. 🙂
I just ordered a couple of Chronos brushes directly from Escoda, because of this video. Have you also tried them in size 4 or 6, by any chance? I can't wait to check them out.
Your tutorials are always so much more than a paint-along ❤ I have been looking for good advice on brushes. Thank you for sharing 🙏... I have just pre-orderd your book. Look soo much forward for it 😍😍
Hi Ana, I follow your channel for a long time. I love your watercolor artwork! I've noticed that you really like using small brushes, and I wanted to ask you, if is for your personal preference or for your technique? Im just curious?😊
Great question - it’s mostly driven by technique and the results I want to achieve (less “loose” more precise). At the end of the day it alll comes down to personal preference 😊
@@AnnaBucciarelli ohhh wonderful! Thank you! Very interesting, it's good to know that, because I'm so curious, and I can see in all your artwork this delicate touch you add in your pieces. This question is in my head a long time lol. thanks for answering me🥰
Anna~ I am having such a hard time with the red squirrel~ Mine keeps on turning out brown instead of red~ Now I have to try to figure out how to lighten up the hair~ Can you help? Please~
Hi Phyllis, you can’t quite lighten up watercolor (without lifting). I would add white gouache in small strokes on top perhaps? Are you following my PATREON tutorial? I’m there I show the value scale to o dictate exactly how light you need to go in your initial layers 😊
Yes, I am following you, but keep on goofing up my ratios of purple to orange~ And yes, I learned long time ago that it is near impossible to lighten up watercolors~ I will try your suggestion, and if it doesn’t work… I’ll just try, again~ You know what they say….. 3 times is a charm~ LOL 😂
@ ah thank you! I was just concerned that I might miss your messages as I can’t keep up with UA-cam. The best way to reach me is via DM feature on Patreon 😊 Thank you!

Having the value on a scale for that first layer was sooo helpful to me!

Your tips and information are greatly appreciated. 👏🏻👏🏻As always, I enjoyed your soothing voice. And the painting is magnificent. 💜💜💜
Perfect, I did squirrels a few months ago and struggled like mad to do the tail, wish I had seen this first, thankyou Anna
Thank you Lesley🐿️❤️
Absolutely love watching you work. We left-handers would probably want to flip the squirrel around for ease in making your strokes.
Oh that is so true! I always flip my reference image or my paper upside down while painting when strokes are going in the opposite direction 😊👌💙
Чудесная белочка❤
Your paintings always look ethereal 😊
Thank you 🙏 💚🐿️

Love this Anna!
Excellent ❤
Beautiful!
Thank you!
Thank you Anna! Do you have any recommendations for high quality synthetic versions of the WN & ESCODA brushes? I understand the 00 is synthetic. Ty❤
Is the Escoda size 2 a round or pointed round? Long or short handle?
