This story is the definition of "not knowing what you had until it's gone" the way Kaede rejected Souma was so needlessly nasty; and even before the confession she'd already began to push him away... so idk why she thought she could just waltz back into Souma's life as if nothing happened. I'm also glad he didn't immediately take her back, her reason that she started avoiding him was stupid... so much Lily had to literally slap some sense into her.
And the worst part is that Kaede got what she wanted in the end yet if you look at the MC's face during the wedding, it looks like he's not even satisfied or happy with what's happening to his life since it feels like he just became a slave to her.
@@Dante999000 have you heard of the term "shotgun wedding"? Cuz that's what the end feels like, a wedding that only benefited one party with no regard for the other.
@@powerflatscreenuniverse1137yikes!! Honestly, I'd rather stay single than have someone do that "shotgun wedding" while ignoring the consent of everyone else.
@@dee_ess_eff but Kaede never took Souma's thoughts and feelings into account? That slap was because she was being obnoxious, treating Souma like a plaything, cornering him to do her wishes. Lily had to hear all of it, got to understand it from his side, which Kaede never tried to do and _then admitted to not caring what he thinks._ What are you talking about "that slap wasn't justified"? No, that slap was more than justified. Lily played a far larger role protecting her brother than some sisters would. She even went so far as to keep an eye on Kaede and her stupidity for Souma because she knew she was the only person in Souma's life Kaede would respect. When Kaede came crawling back, who was it that kept an eye on her and basically put up with her apologizing and wimpering? Who was it that made sure Kaede was actually genuine and not just some gold digger? Sure, she should have put a stop to the whole situation by fully shutting Kaede down, but at that point it might have been too far gone, she was worried about her brother, and she noticed that, even though this may not be a decision he makes, it would be a far better life than the BS he was putting up with now. Plus, he gets a sexy, loyal wife out of it. She also seemed to say that last line not as a brothercon sort of thing but as sarcasm. She saw how easily her brother was being trampled all over and said that as a way to get back at Kaede. I have a feeling she knows Kaede will hurt Souma after all, but lots of sisters joke about that stuff as a way to tell girls around their brothers "hurt him all you want. I'll always be around as if I were his wife and I will be just as ruthless. You're not getting rid of me so don't try." It may not seem like a funny joke to you, but it's not serious. All Lily did was protect her brother and get him into a situation where he can be at least safe and taken care of, even if he's not happy. It's not a great story but it feels grounded. But Kaede was acting a fool, trying to use her brother for her own means and not being real with herself or him. Honestly, the story should have been way different and that slap should have awakened something within Kaede to realize her mistake and fix her obsessive behavior to actually take things at a normal pace and try to make up with Souma, but this is what we get. Either way, it was totally normal for Lily to slap Kaede for her ruthless actions against her brother. Any caring sister would do at least that. She's not the antagonist, here. Kaede is, if anything. That's why so many people are dissatisfied with the ending. Tl;dr: Kaede had no right to treat Souma that way and constantly corner him to get what she wants and should have been stopped. Lily tried and failed to get her to stop but realized the situation would be better for her brother in many aspects if she just went along with Kaede, so she chose the lesser of two evils for him and allowed Kaede to marry Souma so she could provide for him. Kaede is definitely the antagonist here and should not have gotten what she wanted, but she definitely deserved Lily's slap. The ending is dissatisfactory for being what it is, I'd say there should be a part 2 where Kaede gets her just desserts as she hurts Souma and has the marriage fall apart, only for her to have to actually change to become the wife he really deserves before she truly loses him forever, not just the "idealized" version of a wife she tried to become here.
I honestly feel like his sister is very serious about kaede. I'm satisfied with how she slapped her like she never reflects her own personal and redempt her feelings about it.
@@foodmr2022well i can't really blame kaede, cuz she's really is childish and thought a child play marriage certificate is allowed and thinking that they're already married but still it's so stupid
I agree. Lily is the main mvp of this story. If it wasn't for her, Kaede will remain 100% toxic tsundere towards Souma and make him even more mad than before. And he'll mostly find another woman instead of her.
Yeah damn right he has given his patience enough, AND REALITY IS NOT A FAIRY TALE you want of a sudden. He has the right to yell at her and telling every feelings he had on thaat day.
Yeah. Souma is like the representation of many commentors especially the tsundere haters (which is I'm one of them) of every Manga stories. It's like we're Souma who voiced our anger towards Kaede in the story. Props to Paul Hikari who VA Souma because his angry part amazes me the most. We hate those tsundere bias that Kaede made for Souma and she even push him away from her life. Lily is the mvp there. If it wasn't for her, Kaede will remain 100% a toxic tsundere as the MC will for sure finding his way to avoid her at all cost or finding another woman as the best solution.
Well he had that pain simmering away for years. This guy is doomed to be forever confused by his formerly tsundere childhood friend and sister. What is with these stories and their ok with at least attempted sibling romance.
I feel so conflicted about this. On one hand, I like the fact that the female MC acknowledged how she treated him in the past, even if it took a slap to the face for her to realize it. On the other hand, I feel like they shouldn’t have rushed these two getting back together. The better ending would’ve been that they got back on amicable terms, and then slightly hint that there might be something more later on.
Totally agree here. FMC shoulda done the same with MC as she did with his sister, that is coming to his house and begging to accept her every single day. There shoulda been more effort shown on FMC's part to really win back his trust. But oh well, I guess the writer didn't want to go with that route.
It's a Japanese oneshot, we come to expect these types of things from manga like this. In a full blown series no way in hell would the MC let this type of thing slide and no way in hell would Lily suddenly 'forgive' FMC like that. She'd have to take a different approach in trying to win him back. I'm surprised the dude wasn't in therapy after what she put him through in the past not to mention for working at a toxic company. Also dragging him to "their" new house and tossing a CEO position on him is DEFINITELY the wrong move. She really has no right to even be in his sight
@@yorkerold What do you mean? She came back because she has the money to take care of him now, that's the opposite of struggling, did you even watch the video?
the good part: MC's sister slapping some sense into Kaede and Kaede working her ass off to regain the trust of sister to let her see MC. the bad part: everything else.
@@kirbo369agree but the downside is that MC just became a "slave" to Kaede since the marriage happened WITHOUT the consent of everyone else including the MC.
It's partly the MC's sister's fault, knowing how many more things she said to Kaede during all those years between the rejection and the reunion with the MC, so that Kaede felt like the worst of all to the point of ending up reaching become obsessed with being the protagonist's wife.
Honestly Kaede still didn't deserve him. Not just cause of her previous actions, but cause she was basically forcing her way into his life and completely disregarding his feelings towards the whole thing
Nah it's more like she's an airhead that came back with a life plan and Souma let everything happen, I mean he even let her bring him to their new house and stuff, he's better off that way anyways, if not he's gonna die of overworking in that black company.
Really the original marriage certificate should have been nullified, but they could start meeting again from a stick’s length away. She should have re-earned her right from the MC directly rather than forcing him to be with her.
Forreal, felt like he was cornered with no other choice..even girl’s parents were concerned, felt like her love definitely turned into obsession, considering how she planned everything, giving him no option to think things through or refuse
Id also be happy if a ending like that happened.she literally just handed in the marriage papers without her even asking, and in my opinion a tiny sorry cannot balance out years of trauma
Finally, a story like this. This one felt like the artist hear out what the audience complained on the previous stories. The MC really rejected her & saying how hurt he was. His sister also warned the girl about what happened back then despite whatever her excuse is & slapped her. The drama & flow felt more realistic rather than some stories that has the MC accept the girl like nothing has happened back then.
Yeah this story is more interesting for how realistic situation and most of the characters were. Being given the cold shoulder, brutality rejected, and coming back like the male MC doesn’t care about his mental health. The FMC is a literal hot mess.
@@Kings0424Sure, showing him the cold shoulder for several years, ignoring his very existence, hanging out with the more popular crowd (that itself is not a bad thing but it is bad if she was completely ignoring her childhood friend who's apparently the love of her life), not inviting him to the christmas party, forgetting his birthdays and finally rejecting him in a nasty way means nothing much... MC was just "overreacting" after she had the audacity to come unannounced to his house and declare herself as his wife to spit on his dignity even further. The slap was 100% justified. She's a selfish b.
Kaede really messed up. She actively pushed Souma away, leaving him to suffer. Then when he confessed, rather then asking for clarification on "Why are you confessing, I though we were already engaged" or anything like that, she basically declared that they wouldn't be anything more.(The exact opposite of what she 'claims' to have wanted at the time) Then she goes and submits the Marriage registration without even apologizing to him, at least see if he'll forgive you first. Honestly, I hope she's does literally everything for Souma, because as it stands, it looks like she *still* hasn't considered his feelings and just did what she wanted to. I'd love to see a story that has a different ending, where the "ex-crush" tries to get back with the guy but he's already happy with a girl that does things the right way, talking to him directly rather then going over his head.(There probably is one with how many have been made)
Yeah, that’s the problem with this story. The whole situation was caused by Kaede being too wrapped up in her own feelings to properly care for her loved one, and yet she gets what she wants despite still using that same flaw. The marriage should have been canceled and she needed to work to properly atone for her mistake by actually listening to Souma and being a good friend for once.
Not gonna lie I think the mc should have stayed on his own. I mean, not only did she turn him down, she pushed him out of his life for years. I would have moved on completely and big ups to Paul Hikari for the emotion put in his character. Lily is the one sister we all want.
@@Yabby216yeah because he’s not a simp. He’s smart, I wouldn’t get with her either. She lost that chance once she started ignoring him and rejected him. I know I personally am not trying to date a girl who rejected me
So her high school friends called him a loser and she didn't bat an eye, which leads me to believe they did the same in school possibly worse and she didn't care to defend him then or now
If I was him, I would not get with the childhood friend. She treated him like something she scrapped off of her shoe, then she just expects him to fall in line like a good little soldier? Run dude. Run far, run fast.
Yeah. He nailed it. Especially the 20:23 part where Souma stuttering made me laugh. Paul is one of my top 3 Male VA alongside with Dexter Manning and John Tague (aka The Shades).
So basically, tsundere got some sense slapped into her by the MC's sister. And MC was bullied into marrying her by the tsundere and his sister after the tsundere gave her sob story. OK, she did work to improve herself. But what they fail to realize is she hasn't begun working to fix the relationship with him. At that point, she was still the ex-childhood friend who ripped his heart apart years ago and then suddenly appeared to propose marriage while having a Glock pressed to his temple. 😅
This is the most realistic story to come out from this channel. Maybe not that realistic, but genuinely real reactions to the situation. Also I like how the MC never forgave the FMC because she hasn’t earned it. The FMC was a complete bitch and karma hit her like a truck. Her tsundere bullshit didn’t slide with the MC, and especially the sister. Even tho she was a little mean, she was honestly very caring of her brother. She went as so far to slap the FMC for her actions (which she deserved). Also when they reunited, the emotions in the VA’s yelling actually got to me because they were that real. He called her out on everything, and even though she FMC apologized, he didn’t accept it. I’m glad the people behind this finally realized what people wanted, a realistic story with consequences for a terrible FMC. Please make more stories like this. I’d rather see a bad ending than a spineless MC forgive the horrendous FMC.
Kaede is the worst. She trampled on Souma and toyed his feelings then she comes back to him expecting him to fulfill the promise they made. What a selfish person. I like the fact that Souma got angry and didn’t let what she did slide and I really felt his anger. I was very satisfied that Lily slapped Kaede. She deserved it for what she did and even Lily warned Souma about her at 6:06 and even acknowledged that behavior is not nice at all. I think we can all agree that Souma should have moved on from her completely and find a better girl. You can tell his face wasn’t too happy at the wedding. The reason why she got a happy ending was because the writers probably felt bad for her but to me I don’t
YES! I mean, Kaede is soo lucky that Souma has an amazingly caring sister in Lily and shes why all of this happened. Would love it to see stories where fmcs fumble it full time. If I was in a situation like this and had high school classmates ask about my whereabouts, I’d let someone else know to tell them that I’m already dead :)
Right?? Like in other tsundere stories like this, the MCs atleast look happy in the end. In here, he wasn't even happy, he's just like"what the heck just happened?"
honestly, I agree; these writers are either running out of ideas or they are just simps for tsundere girls for them to give Kaede here a happy ending. (PS: I wish the ending here would have been MC marrying someone that healed him from his heartbreak.)
Red flag HuGE red flag. She the type that would NTR him behind his back. He should of just friend zoned her and cancel the marriage certificate stating that he doesn’t really know the FMC for a while. She blew it and he should of denied her and moved on. It was good until the end.
He have his sister bruh and i think lily is not mc blood related sibling. Her looks is very different from mc. In that case, if kaede ntr him, there are already step sister.
Yeah honestly out of all of the ntr sh K watched and read She sure seems like someone who would ntr you I mean Tsuderes alone could be ntring tf outta ya
If there’s one thing I can take out of this world is cheating. Which also includes ntr’s which is what I hate the most and still till this day have trauma of watching some of the stuff I watched… took away probably the last of my innocence that I had thankfully I’m somewhat recovering.
Because fmc redemption was shit. She rushed it, didn't give him chance to process, didn't explain well, didn't wait or consider his feelings. Also when her friends in the reunion called him names and laughed about his situation, she didn't do shit for him. she didn't defend him. She didn't tell them to fck off and she was supposed to be a woman worthy of him.
I mean making MC life getting worse while Kaede getting better even tho she cause MC suffer and she didn't get any karma of course you are not satifying with ending.
Yeah. That ending made me disappointed that Souma and Kaede ended up getting married. It wouls be better if Souma find another woman or maybe they made Lily a not blood related sister and chose her instead.
Lily is the definition of a true sibling warned him about lily also said he deserved better (while also slightly insulting him) than when he got rejected confronted lily
This FMC has got to be the worst obssesive tsundere I've ever seen. Like I was literally hoping that there was an understandable reason for her cold attitude, but no its the same "you've been so cool I'm shy when I'm with you" crap except its 10x worse. The only one I liked was MC's sister Lily aka the best character in this story. She's been warning him how the FMC's bad news because of her sudden unreasonable attitude. And when the MC finally got his heart broken after FMC's actions, she went to her and straight up scold her and even slapped her, warning her to not come to the MC again. I know that the FMC's deeply sorry for her action, but it all happened so sudden and fast that MC didnt have the time to react. She just dragged him along without even setting things straight. And look at his face at their wedding, he was more confused and bewildered than happy. Idk if this was a happy ending or what.
Story Idea: An adult woman (FMC) receives a wedding invitation from her childhood friend and her first love(MMC) who she hasn’t heard from since high school. The reason why they cut contact was that she was a tsundere that teased yet loved him, but he finally had enough and stopped talking to her. She tried to talk to him but he always ignored her like she didn’t exist. He then left to a university far from her and now she learns that he’s getting married. After the wedding, she goes home heartbroken that because of her attitude she lost her first love. When she falls asleep she wakes up the next day, back in her high school days, before he cut contact with her. Taking an advantage of this event she vows to change her attitude to become a better person and to not lose her first love again.
Again. I still want to see this come to fruition. This idea is a perfect example of what everyone wants and needs, while it will not only be entertaining, but people can also get a life lesson from this. The realism here will make it popular, too. Again. Why is it that this idea is recognized yet it wasn't created. People would kill for this to be made.
@@ianindimuli1744i already told him: if you want to watch a story like that, there is a very similar story on manga rabbit homenoba. I can take a look for the title if you are interested
Its like shoujo manhwa stories. I forgot the name. She neglected her cf even her cf always beside her and stood by her. In the end, he fed up of her and finally married another women. She regret it so much because she never married until she is 35. She slept and suddenly wake up when she is in high school.
Me who likes giving alternate endings: It's free real estate! Here we go! As Souma watched Lily tell Kaede about keeping a close eye on them and their behavior. He couldn't help but look around and think about if he's really going to live with her in this fancy home, and more importantly; if he was already married to Kaede. Although a new route had opened to him for a new life, he couldn't help but feel this whole situation was wrong. In the first place, Kaede Practically dragged him here and laid all of this on him. First off, as mentioned before: he and Kaede were already married, something he, again, definitely didn't consent to even though he DID sign the marriage certificate all of those years ago. Second of all, what was this nonsense about Kaede starting a company and it was now his? Why was he suddenly a CEO? He's already suffocating in an abusive company, but now he was a CEO? It almost felt like someone came up to him while he was already beaten down and kicked him as hard as they could in his stomach; only to tell him it was for his own good. Lastly, and this was the most shocking thing for Souma. Lily, his own sister who previously told him that Kaede was trouble and even confronted Kaede after he got traumatized was now in Cahoots with Kaede and they went behind his back in order to set all of this up. Alarms were going off in Souma's brain, his past trauma by Kaede, stress from his abusive company, and now the sudden turn of events. Millions more of questions were popping off in his brain. However if there was one loud thing that was drowning out these questions, it was his instinct that was telling him to "Get the hell out of there!" Souma went into fight or flight. As to not alert the arguing Kaede and Lily, Souma quietly backed out of the room until he was out of the house. Kaede and Lily stopped their bickering when they heard the front door close. They were momentarily stunned as they looked towards the front door. Kaede quickly began to panic as she rushed to the front door to chase after Souma. Lily didn't follow her however, she wasn't all that surprised and only let out a defeated sigh. When Souma left the house Kaede bought he immediately got on a train and headed back towards his house. But in a split second decision, he changed course to a hotel near his company as he knew Kaede would chase after him. His heart was thumping in adrenaline all throughout the train ride, but as soon as he hit the bed of the hotel he booked a room at he succumbed to his exhausted state and immediately fell asleep. But this wasn't the end of the surprises this week. The Next day, he didn't even think about his situation with Kaede and went to work as usual. However, when he arrived at the office he found it in chaos. Police officers were in the building and they had his boss in handcuffs. Nearby were other people in suits that Souma didn't recognize. They stared at Souma's boss with anger and disgust. When Souma asked his co-workers what was going on, they explained that their boss was being charged with Embezzlement, blackmail, and of course overworking his employees. And that the people Souma didn't recognize were actually representatives of their new parent company who bought them out recently. They had just finished their internal investigation on the boss and were now dealing with it. At first, Souma believed he would be out of a job soon and only now did he start considering Kaede's CEO position. But he was quickly brought back to reality as the representatives now gathered up Souma and his team to discuss their future. Some people would be fired, some people would be transferred, and some people will receive compensation and maybe a promotion. With that said they started getting their notices. When Souma received his notice of what he'd receive. He practically cried out in joy when it said that because of his ability to work in such a stressful position he was to be transferred to the Head Office. There he'd receive better pay and of course better working conditions. Souma immediately began searching for a new apartment near his New Job. He then reminded himself of his situation with Kaede, a problem he would need to find a solution to sooner rather than later. Speaking of Kaede, after Souma abruptly left she went to his apartment, just as he predicted. However she quickly realized that he didn't go back there and instead must've booked a room at a nearby hotel. However when she called nearby hotels none of them told her anything. And given that some hotels will keep their mouths shut about their visiting customers she quickly gave up for the night and instead tried to call and text him. However, he didn't respond to either her or Lily. After a few days of this, she learned about the changes going on at Souma's company, the corrupt boss is going to jail and that it was bought out by a new company. Although this was good for Souma, this wasn't necessarily good for Kaede, his suffering was the whole reason why she did all of this in order to be with him. But if his living conditions were to improve the chances of him coming back to her were next to none. But she believed that as long as she had the marriage certificate, he was hers. Lily on the other hand, while she had tried to call Souma in Kaede's desperation, she had basically already come to terms that their attempt was a failure. And after seeing Kaede starting to get that feverish look in her eye again, she ceased trying to contact Souma. She began trying to think of ways to get Kaede to let Souma go. It has now been a few months since Souma moved to his New job. And to say it was a breath of fresh air would be an understatement. He was a completely new man. He could now afford things he wanted, he had nice Co-workers, a nice boss who actively praised him for his work. Everything was coming up Souma. and now it was time to tear that last nail out of his coffin. Kaede. He hired a lawyer recommended to him by his boss and they immediately got to work on divorce proceedings. Then came the day that Souma would serve her the divorce papers. She was happy at first since she had been spending these months trying to contact him, but her joy didn't last long as it turned to devastation and pure terror. He was asking for a divorce, and that if she didn't agree to the divorce. He'd instead sue her for divorce on the grounds of 'forced marriage'. however, he would also sue her for trying to force him to be the CEO of the company SHE created. When threatened with these things, Kaede realized she was screwed. And so in her desperation, she asked Lily for help in trying to convince Souma. But Lily could only shrug and stare at her as if she were an idiot. What does she expect her to do? She already knew she was overstepping her bounds by helping Kaede in the past, so for what reason would Souma listen to her now? Ultimately, Kaede accepted and signed the divorce papers while in a tearing and blubbering mess. She wanted to fix her past mistake, but only to screw it up once again. After things were finished, peace returned to their lives. Kaede decided to take up the CEO position of the company. There are reports that she's been drowning herself in work. Lily basically went on with her life, having minimal contact with Souma. Although they reconciled, they weren't as close as they were before. Souma on the other hand was thriving in his new environment and was now dating a CO-worker he met at the Head office. They would later Marry and have a child.
Idk Kaede's rationale is crazy. Your supposedly going to get married to guy yet you choose to be cold to him. Shy I could buy, but no - Kaede totally ignored MC's existence
Lily is a real one. Honestly, souma should have just gotten married to her. I mean, he literally considers her an angel, and it's obvious he loves her a lot, maybe not quite the same way as lily, though, because her love for souma is straight up romantic Alabama type of love but anyways lily cared and loved souma very much from the beginning till the end I mean she literally states that she will marry her brother at the end lol
Regrettably, the story ended up as feared. Firstly, the premise of the story is pretty good in itself, but unfortunately the conclusion doesn't live up to it as it should. While the whole premise, namely that Kaede is shown the limits after high school, both by Souma confronting her for her misbehaviour and Lily giving her an unparalleled slap in the face, the conclusion should have been as follows: The exposure of her poor behaviour leads to a self-reflection or reorientation of herself, which she addresses because she wants it for herself too. This is where the fatal part comes in, why the story didn't end the way it should have. Instead of Kaede going through with the change for herself and out of complete conviction, she only does the change to please Souma, which is absolutely pitiful because it suggests that she hasn't changed at her core. Instead of showing humility for all the crap she did in school, she expects him to give himself to her on a promise that is worth nothing, to say the least. Especially as it should be noted here that she is certainly not in a position to tell him to be with her, also because she would have to sweep up a lot of scorched earth to get back in front of him in the first place. Either she would have had to tick Souma off, as a relationship would have become completely impossible after all that, or he would have moved on and found a girlfriend, which would have been only deserved. But as it is, the story ends on a very sour note, as one has to doubt Kaede's reflection considerably, as she is basically the same as before, just undercover, and so she is not only a lousy tsundere, but also a turncoat, which is all the worse. Cheers
Sorry, but there's the door sweetheart. Get out and never come back into my life. Never settle for "I'm sorry" after being treated like that for so long. Time to go down and get that divorce tomorrow, plus file charges for falsely submitting the paperwork.
If it was me... Me: you don't have to worry sis because I'm going to file for divorce first thing tomorrow. Childhood friend: WHY!? Me: because I can't forgive you for how you hurt me. Childhood friend: 😭😭😭. Or I'd just wait until she went to sleep go clean out my checking account file for divorce or annulment of the marriage and leave the country and not tell anyone where I was.
I'm usually pretty forgiving, but not this time. Souma may have needed a way out of that toxic company, but this wasn't right. I'd have taken some of the money I had saved up and got that marriage annulled. I think this is one of the few times where I wouldn't have given the fmc a second chance.
I like the Juxtaposition of this story where he's unpopular and living a tough life and she's popular and living an easier life but she figures out what she did wrong and wants to help him. Also, there is an actual sister that cares about her brother and will stick up for him even against a tsundere. Great story overall, especially for character growth.
*If I were in MC's shoes:* I would've torn up the marriage registration form and turned her down. If she wants me to live with her and get a better job at her company, we can be roommates and coworkers. But if she wants me to be her husband, fat chance that's ever gonna happen. Unless she really pulls out all the stops to redeem herself and make up for her bitchy behavior in the past (which would take a long while regardless considering how many years she cut him out of her life and didn't defend him when others treated him poorly), then I'm not gonna get romantically involved with her in any way. And she has no one to blame but herself. If she tries to force me to attend the wedding because she'd apparently already planned it, I'm gonna call her out for not listening to whether I wanted to get married to her or not, much less anything else she's done without my knowledge. Calling out the entire ceremony as her doing what she wants without the slightest concern for my opinion and telling her that if she wants me to marry her, I'll do it only to make her stop asking me incessantly in the future. It's a marriage of convenience, not one of love. If she wants to leave this loveless marriage, she knows where the door is and can go at any time. But she'll most likely stay and work her ass off trying to earn even 1% of any sort of actual love.
1. From what was said she though he'd know they're unofficially married already like she did. 2. Kaede states he was getting more handsome, manly, and reliable in Highschool to the point she was SO down bad for Souma that one wrong moved she would've pounced on him and possible kid maybe.
I don't blame Souma's for what he has gone through this pain even though sister has a brother complex but still she does look after him & kaede is a terrible friend & a POS girlfriend/wife to him how she rejected & abandon him
This is probably one of the least satisfying manga I’ve seen on here. She literally tricked him into signing a marriage certificate when they were kids without him even knowing what it was, treated him like crap for years until he confessed to her and she turned him down HARD, and then years later forced herself into his life, literally taking everything over without his consent, forging SEVERAL documents in the process, and somehow it ends with “oh well, better accept this and pay her back for all this abuse.” Also the fact that his sister was an accomplice at the end JUST to get Kaede off her back is just despicable as well
The biggest flaw with the story is how Kaede forces her way back into the MC's life. Unlike the rest of this comment section, I believe Kaede did redeem herself properly. She puts a lot of effort into becoming a better person and into making Souma's life better (she helps him quit his black company, moves him into a better house, cooks and feeds him a healthy meal every day, and presumably does all of the house chores herself, etc.). For all the pain that she caused, I'd say she's on her way to making up for it. Just wish their relationship redeveloped more naturally, with them restarting as friends rather than immediately being married.
I feel sorry for the MC. He needs mental help. His sister cares for him, but clearly demolishes his self-worth. And Kaede is a possessive creature who, despite her "change of heart", remains uncapable of listening and even considering his opinion. It looks more like a love between a master and his dog (although even a dog is better treated). And what exacly makes a "loser"? He may be the quiet type, but loser seems to be the result of how others (classmates and work collegues) treat him: bad just because. Honestly, i'm surprised he didn't comit suicide. Or a mental breakdown and harms/kills someone (the sister or Kaede) in a desperate attempt to escape them
Her story is really bs. If she felt that they were already a couple, then she wouldn't have left him the way she did after he confessed. She reallt is an awful person and he should have kept away from her.
In my opinion, finally a story where the protagonist really tells you how much he suffered, it would have been a perfect story if the protagonist had firmly rejected it. 🎉🎉 But hey, it's not bad. 😅
Kaede really IS a great girl for Souma. Her dedication to making it up to, and saving, Souma for everything she did in the past and from his toxic company. And now that they are married, they both can be happy together and make up for lost time with Kaede doing everything she can for him. But now Souma's sister Lily is getting in on the action, just to make things complicated. Now to switch gears and talk about just how satisfying it was seeing Kaede get absolutely demolished for everything she did to Souma by himself and Lily. That emotional rant Souma went on was absolutely deserved, hell he could have gone on longer and I would have enjoyed every second of it, and Lily's scolding and that satisfying slap was beautiful. And the cherry on top was neither accepting her apology outright like most other stories. She broke Souma's heart, she didn't deserve forgiveness. Kaede deserved all of that for not taking Souma's feelings seriously and not realizing it until after she ruined it all, and her apologies were never going to be good enough back then. Only by dedicating herself fully to apologizing to both of them was she able to even see Souma, and even then she still needed to regain Souma's trust and apologize for everything. Maybe now, that she knows exactly how it feels to lose all that one has, she won't takr Souma for granted and actually treat him right and truly love him as his wife.
Did you even notice Souma's face during the wedding?? That's the face you show when you are confused and forced to do something against your free will.
THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST WAYS TO CONFRONT A HORRIBLE TSUNDERE! This is the best version of the MC among all of them! Souma moved on from Kaede because of her tsundere and her rejection towards him in the past. Of course he'll get mad because of her suddenly coming back to him. Not only Souma calls out Kaede's tsundere bias, even his sister Lily calls Kaede out as well and even slapped her to face the reality on what she had done to him. Even now, she even supports him that if Kaede do something unhappy to him, she won't hesitate to make them divorce. It would be better if Souma finds another woman instead of Kaede. But oh well, that's the writer's decision to make them ended up getting in the end. Idk if Lily is blood related to him. If it is not, she's the clear better person than Kaede. 20:23 Paul Hikari's Male VA made me laugh in this part especially when Souma's stuttering part. He nailed it! And 13:33 part is like how we voiced our anger towards Kaede. Great job Paul Hikari! He's one of my top 3 Male VA of manga stories alongside with Dexter manning and John Tague (The Shades). Edit: I changed my caps from one of the best stories into one of the best ways to confront a horrible tsundere because I don't like the ending part where Souma and Kaede got married in the end. You can see his expression that he isn't really happy in the situation because he's confused and couldn't keep up with it.
The mc guy should have went and got the marriage certificate nullified when it came in. I think stuff like that can be processed 24/7 in japan. Plus how the guy was treated, he shouldn't have went with the flow of letting the mc girl doing everything. It seem like he lost all love for her years ago after being rejected. I know i would not have gone back to her.
What bother me is more like she never try to defend him during highschool. She was popular and could easily tell her friends that he was a good fuy. But she never even defend him. For once. He was cut of from every party while she had her life and fun with her friends, got throw away like a toy. I feel this part far worse than the rejection, she never try to defend her future husband for once. She even let others insult him manytimes. And hang out with these people. Adding her cold and pushing the MC away and reject him, all this together are a big red flag and he should not accept her marriage that easily. After all if someone do something lile this in real life to someone, I doubt that this person would easily forgive him. I like the story where we had a similar scenario with a childhood friends who been a couple, she also pushed the MC away because her friends told he was a loner/loser, breaking up with him. In the end she reject it but it was to late and he found another girlfriend, she end up alone. We needed a similar story for here too..
I havent watched the full video yet, currently at 16:23, but I can say, Lily is really an angel. She stands for her brother and truely loves him. I like this character edit: okay last scene was unexpected but that did add a nice comic relief to the manga.... nice one
Well, even if he was... not guided in to this but rocket shoot in a sonic train, my grandma always said to me and my sister "If you have to choose between the one you love and the one who loves you, choose the one who loves you, because they will move mountains to make you fall for them"
Essa história poderia ter acontecido, queria ver ela lembrar do desprezo e rejeição que ela deu nele e de uma vez vir todas essas lembranças a culpa iria cair nas costas dela
Kaede is literally the stupidest character I've seen in any of these RomCom videos. First time I wanted to see an unhappy ending. Souma deserved better, I wish Lily would have been revealed as Souma's step sister then Lily and Souma ended up together. Actually here's I better one, I wish that when Kaede showed up, Souma already had a wife and kids and was happily married to someone who wasn't a conceited b*tch, then Lily smacks Kaede again and says " don't show up after a few years as if nothing happened, and I thought I told you to stay away from my brother! ". That would have been perfect lol.
Like wow that was pretty good. What would’ve made it perfect if we saw Kaede completely break down and bed for Souma’s forgiveness and the sister not being a… well you know. I give this an 8/10.
At least Kaede was able to get married to her childhood friend Souma🖤🧡💍 after she broke his heart by rejecting his love confession💔 and also his obsessive sister Lily😡.
Kaede was tsundere to Shouma. I hate tsunderes. At least Shouma was angry with her. But the situation was mad after it, having planned the wedding, the job, the marriage... It is a weird story.
I have to be honest. I did not like this one. The tipe of story I would like is: After Kaede say why she was terrible to the Souma - Souma say - sorry, but I do not have any feelings for you and besides you have your friends from highschool. Then go to his family and especially his sister and ask for apology for doing things without his approval. Go to city administration and cancel the marriage certification. After that continue living without Kaede for at least a year. At that time he may quit his company and search for new workplace (he say he have money). Also go to matchmaking parties. If Souma do not found anybody then he can try to get together with Kaede, but on his terms and Kaede will know how it feels to be brutally rejected. Will they be together - time will tell.
Tbh Lily isn't really that good of a sister. I respect that she confronted Kaede for trampling on her brother's feelings, but then in the end Lily doesn't even consider his feelings and kind of forces him to get married. I guess it worked out well in the end for the MC but my boi had no say in the matter.
Damn,I thought souma will reject all her proposal and mad at her more and make kaede more realize what she did to him and she still did something on his own without his accept or not and she still ignore his feeling but the story it really good and really satisfied how souma mad at kaede I looking forward another story like this and keep forward your story
14:31 - 14:5015:10 - 15:16 Damn! Paul Hikari's performance here was amazing. I felt MC's anger in him, so much so that I wanted to enter my phone and slap her myself.
Well, the FMC did reflect on her actions that cost them their relationships and now look at them... Even if it turns out in a ludicrous ending, but at least it's a somewhat happy ending (especially his sister also wants to "marry" her own brother).
Kaede's current actions are genuine yet the emotional trauma she inflicted on souma is not fully justified. That being said, I really wanted souma to forgive her. Not today or some other day, but in a slow and non-aggressive way. Emotional trauma lasted way longer than physical ones, but it surely is treatable after a certain amount of time, and Kaede is genuinely doing her best of repenting it, even though it'll probably took a long time. Sure, the past can never be changed, but everything that occured is a result of Kaede's own actions. She's trying her best to repent by making souma's life better, and I personally wanted them to have a good ending. Just not in a rushed way like other mangas, but a slow one to make up for Souma's traumas.
@@powerflatscreenuniverse1137 i guess she wanted to do it quickly and effectively in order to make huge amends and that still creeps me a bit.
I'm satisfied with how she slapped her like she never reflects her own personal and redempt her feelings about it.
good she slapped her hard after what she did to him as a good compensation.
That is why MC's sister is the best character. She doesn't tolerate some tsundere childhood friend BS.
OW!!! that pierced me 😢
At least he criticized her right away, not forgiving her like it's nothing
Yeah, but the bad thing is we didn't even hear him accepting her apology, as he got dragged by her into marriage without hearing his own opinion.
What do you mean they get married like its nothing story sucks
I totally agree. I feel like this would work better as a multi-part story.
PS that slap was satisfying as all Hell.
The FMC only came back to the MC because she was struggling.
Another good part where MC actually added fuel to the fire by finally scolding her after all these years
@@kirbo369agree but the downside is that MC just became a "slave" to Kaede since the marriage happened WITHOUT the consent of everyone else including the MC.
@@Dante999000 ngl this manga actually hits the spot harder than those similiar mangas i watched so far.
Fr
Nah it's more like she's an airhead that came back with a life plan and Souma let everything happen, I mean he even let her bring him to their new house and stuff, he's better off that way anyways, if not he's gonna die of overworking in that black company.

Really the original marriage certificate should have been nullified, but they could start meeting again from a stick’s length away. She should have re-earned her right from the MC directly rather than forcing him to be with her.
atleast she made his life much better than before
Damn if there was an ending where he did not accept and became successful on his own ... I'd be the happiest
Chad ending
Same but atleast the mc sister did what i wanted to do againt his childhood friends
Bro's been obsessed with the sigma chad edits out there...
I hate this story. The fact that Kaede got treated like shit is terrible. The MC and his sister overreacted 100%
@@Kings0424but it's a lot better than being forced to pretend it never happened.... The overreaction is well justified.
@jaytrashwade1-1 Not really bro. I would just pretend it never happened
I'd love to see a story that has a different ending, where the "ex-crush" tries to get back with the guy but he's already happy with a girl that does things the right way, talking to him directly rather then going over his head.(There probably is one with how many have been made)
Now there we go! 👏👏👏
If mc marries her sister It would be better.

So basically, tsundere got some sense slapped into her by the MC's sister. And MC was bullied into marrying her by the tsundere and his sister after the tsundere gave her sob story.

This is the most realistic story to come out from this channel. Maybe not that realistic, but genuinely real reactions to the situation.

For Kaede it was a happy ending the mc is quite neutral safe to say since thing’s happened so fast for him 😂.
believe me, with a face like that it will never end well for him.
The best way to make tsundere to honest about their self, hit them with reality
Lily gets the "Best Sister Award."
Story Idea:
An adult woman (FMC) receives a wedding invitation from her childhood friend and her first love(MMC) who she hasn’t heard from since high school.

Now this is a story. It's no nonsense and raw is very refreshing. Thank you.
Idk Kaede's rationale is crazy. Your supposedly going to get married to guy yet you choose to be cold to him. Shy I could buy, but no - Kaede totally ignored MC's existence
For once the mc choosing his sister would have been the better move.
Paul Hikari is really talented! Thank yo for your performance on this episode!
Lily is a real one. Honestly, souma should have just gotten married to her. I mean, he literally considers her an angel, and it's obvious he loves her a lot, maybe not quite the same way as lily, though, because her love for souma is straight up romantic Alabama type of love but anyways lily cared and loved souma very much from the beginning till the end I mean she literally states that she will marry her brother at the end lol
incest mmmmm
Shes still a Red Flag for me, she still doing what she wants without giving a damn abt his opinion, poor guy .
She belongs to the streets no cap
Regrettably, the story ended up as feared. Firstly, the premise of the story is pretty good in itself, but unfortunately the conclusion doesn't live up to it as it should. While the whole premise, namely that Kaede is shown the limits after high school, both by Souma confronting her for her misbehaviour and Lily giving her an unparalleled slap in the face, the conclusion should have been as follows:
The exposure of her poor behaviour leads to a self-reflection or reorientation of herself, which she addresses because she wants it for herself too.
I love this usually I don't like her for what she did but at least she redeemed herself
Honestly wished there was someone else to take the MC instead. But at least he was self respecting enough to not just accept her
This one is insane. Awesome with the emotion put into the characters. So cool
13:33 "THAT WAS YOUR DOING GOD DAMNITTTT!" Lol that part is Crazy 🤣
This story has a new way and I respect it
If it was me...
Me: you don't have to worry sis because I'm going to file for divorce first thing tomorrow.
Childhood friend: WHY!?
Me: because I can't forgive you for how you hurt me.
Childhood friend: 😭😭😭.
Or
I'd just wait until she went to sleep go clean out my checking account file for divorce or annulment of the marriage and leave the country and not tell anyone where I was.
I'm usually pretty forgiving, but not this time. Souma may have needed a way out of that toxic company, but this wasn't right. I'd have taken some of the money I had saved up and got that marriage annulled. I think this is one of the few times where I wouldn't have given the fmc a second chance.
At least she realized also Lily is a good sister(minus the bro con)
I like the Juxtaposition of this story where he's unpopular and living a tough life and she's popular and living an easier life but she figures out what she did wrong and wants to help him. Also, there is an actual sister that cares about her brother and will stick up for him even against a tsundere. Great story overall, especially for character growth.
*If I were in MC's shoes:*
I would've torn up the marriage registration form and turned her down.
5:37 😂 "You have a really really cute little sister you know" 💀
Wth, Lil Sis really be putting me on flashback from Yosuga no Sora 💀😭
22:00 I knew it💀
My hunch was right
So why did Kaede reject the confession of Souma?
Lily Is Truly A Good Sister!
She rejected him because Lily was right. She was a bitch.
1. From what was said she though he'd know they're unofficially married already like she did.
2. Kaede states he was getting more handsome, manly, and reliable in Highschool to the point she was SO down bad for Souma that one wrong moved she would've pounced on him and possible kid maybe.
@@aozorahaou2643seriously, Kaede's reasons are stupid and maybe more childish than the whole world's problems combined.
@@aozorahaou2643She didn’t think that Souma probably would’ve been happy if she had acted on her emotions
Fr
I feel sorry for the MC. He needs mental help. His sister cares for him, but clearly demolishes his self-worth. And Kaede is a possessive creature who, despite her "change of heart", remains uncapable of listening and even considering his opinion. It looks more like a love between a master and his dog (although even a dog is better treated). And what exacly makes a "loser"? He may be the quiet type, but loser seems to be the result of how others (classmates and work collegues) treat him: bad just because.
Honestly, i'm surprised he didn't comit suicide. Or a mental breakdown and harms/kills someone (the sister or Kaede) in a desperate attempt to escape them
14:12 those line damn they are feeling with pent up mixed feelings. And it bursted out righ in her face the pain she gave him of there youth days.
Her story is really bs. If she felt that they were already a couple, then she wouldn't have left him the way she did after he confessed. She reallt is an awful person and he should have kept away from her.
Souma is so lucky that he both got all the girls 💀
Even the ones that is related to him 💀💀💀🪦
In my opinion, finally a story where the protagonist really tells you how much he suffered, it would have been a perfect story if the protagonist had firmly rejected it. 🎉🎉
But hey, it's not bad.
Wow! I really feel the power and emotion coming from this guy’s voice.
Seriously amazing work.
It's hard to buy this as a redemption story when even in the end, the FMC acts like the MC belongs to her.
His reaction to the sudden changes in his life is priceless 🤣 😂 😆 😄
I like this character
edit: okay last scene was unexpected but that did add a nice comic relief to the manga.... nice one
He had every right to be angry, and honestly, this video should have been 3 mins longer of him being angry and letting her have it even more.
17:39 she could have defended him in the reunion
Well, even if he was... not guided in to this but rocket shoot in a sonic train, my grandma always said to me and my sister "If you have to choose between the one you love and the one who loves you, choose the one who loves you, because they will move mountains to make you fall for them"
I wonder how the fmc would react if the mc had died due to exhaustion from his work before she could see him.
Essa história poderia ter acontecido, queria ver ela lembrar do desprezo e rejeição que ela deu nele e de uma vez vir todas essas lembranças a culpa iria cair nas costas dela
The scene with the sister was immensely satisfying.
Deserved lol. Lets be real here. Lily is the ONLY reason Souma is back wifh her.
20:27
I can’t tell you how hard I was laughing at Souma’s confusion
Like wow that was pretty good. What would’ve made it perfect if we saw Kaede completely break down and bed for Souma’s forgiveness and the sister not being a… well you know.
I give this an 8/10.
That's a good story, it grabbed me
What da hell, that last part of his sister actually being a brocon?! I can't even 😆
This story leaves a bad feeling
Goodmorning, Good afternoon, Good evening, and Goodnight Everyone
Good morning dude.🙂👋
Little kaede's voice is mature then every highschool girl 💀
Some girls "mature" faster than others.
This story is somewhat more realistic than the other story when the mc just accept the fmc as if nothing happened
I can tell by MC look.....like he is not happy with the marriage to his childhood friend
At least Kaede was able to get married to her childhood friend Souma🖤🧡💍 after she broke his heart by rejecting his love confession💔 and also his obsessive sister Lily😡.
Bruh, the male VA's performance in this episode was absolutely stellar. I hope they continue or get recognized.
I know it's wrong but Souma and Lily should be the one together
Dude not every story has to be incest
Would be better than the FMC
Bro tf
your manga is always so gooddddd❤❤❤❤❤❤
Kaede was tsundere to Shouma. I hate tsunderes.
At least Shouma was angry with her. But the situation was mad after it, having planned the wedding, the job, the marriage...
It is a weird story.
One of my personal favourite.
Sister of the year❤
Tbh Lily isn't really that good of a sister. I respect that she confronted Kaede for trampling on her brother's feelings, but then in the end Lily doesn't even consider his feelings and kind of forces him to get married. I guess it worked out well in the end for the MC but my boi had no say in the matter.
Damn,I thought souma will reject all her proposal and mad at her more and make kaede more realize what she did to him and she still did something on his own without his accept or not and she still ignore his feeling but the story it really good and really satisfied how souma mad at kaede
I looking forward another story like this and keep forward your story
14:31 - 14:50 15:10 - 15:16
Damn!
What a nice story i like it this realy a good IRL situation would be but in a manga i wish there is a manga like this i will guve it a good 5 star
i like how the MC blow up in anger at Kaede but he wos still too much of a push over.
Now this is how you do a emotional story 10/10 great satire we’ll done lil sis
