Great video! That was the most annoying sleepy time music ever 😂. But the mindset preparedness is great advice because I don’t think I would still be chugging along. Thanks for sharing 😊.
Thanks for these videos. Super informative.🎉 As a company driver do you have an assigned truck? Or does your truck change regularly? I plan to be OTR 90% of the time…wondering whether company or lease operator makes the most sense. Esp because having a dedicated truck is important to me considering how much I’ll be OTR.
How do you pay for fuel and repairs? Does Prime cover the cost, then deduct those costs out of your weekly gross? How much of your "net" income is needed to be kept in reserves for expenses that aren't "covered"....if any.
man great videos, I have a question, ❓ well im not going to put the business out too much,we look similar, you look like one of my family members.. my roots run deeper in the Alabama soil
Your not forced dispatched. You have the right to take off whenever you want. It could be less than 1400 fixed cost. And if you don’t at least make your truck payment you dispatcher gets their pay deducted. Your gross will almost always double or triple your fixed and fuel cost. The only way it doesn’t is if your taking too much hometime or not really running correctly. Every company is different. Speak on what you know
Depends on what your goals are. If you want to own a truck one day then set yourself up for lease purchase as soon as possible. If you just want to make money without owning then regular lease. Just my personal opinion hope it helps
If I’m available when you come in we might be able to make something work. But just in case I’m not you can always email me at vagamademe@gmail.com with questions and I can try and help you out that way too
I’ve been at it for a real long time… a whole year and a half😂😂. Na I’m just joking about the long time lol. I know I’m still new and a learning compared to other drivers. But during my time so far I just try and pay attention to the details and ask questions, and what I’ve learned so far I feel like it could help other new drivers. Great question to answer in a Q&A vid. Thanks
Leasing is not owning your truck you are renting it out and company not having to pay for it instead you are, leasing to own is ridiculous and naive when you can loose your down payment or let’s say you have buyers remorse then what go back as a company driver? Truck is restricted with govern speed, cameras and bells and horns when your truck tire touches the line or come to a bridge which all can be annoying. Also, you would need to drive really hard to make a good decent amount each week but don’t hold your breath because some of us know big mega carriers show favoritism and all politics and are scamming you you just don’t read the fine print or are distracted by all the new truck smell and shiny paint. Someone single with no debts and or liabilities young and single can possibly make it happen running solo but as team drivers and training others is where you will be successful. I say if you have debts aka liabilities you are not at a level of even becoming a lease operator or o/o otherwise you digging a deeper hole.people with no debts aka liabilities, work, save $$ and RUN and buy your own truck work under some company authority then get a second truck out a driver on that truck and make that bag.

if you opt for lease purchase can you do your own dispatching?
man great videos, I have a question, ❓ well im not going to put the business out too much,we look similar, you look like one of my family members.. my roots run deeper in the Alabama soil
I don’t know. My folk are mainly for southern Virginia area but we do have family all over
Curious like to know what a solo lease operator or lease purchase o/o takes home each week net pay really looks like.
Are you still training? If so what is your complete referral code so that when I do my application I can put it on there
Is fuel a tax write off?
Bro What you think is more convenient to go for, lease purchases or regular lease?
Neither u do know its 1400 a week for fixed cost plus fuel and maintenance and your forced dispatch just like a company driver it's a scam.

@@derrickwilliams2555 preciate that man more than you know and you stay blessed as well
Now days there’s no way to successfully finish a lease with prime doing two and three loads per week, leasing is stupid and from prime worst.
