Little do these idiots know. Prime uses there truck number as there employee number. When i was there i had truck 238754. So now they are at 636757. Thats how many bonehead truckers have been hired or fired at prime 😂. Haha.

A ROTH IRA is beneficial to those that are self employed or those being paid and receiving a 1099. If you work for a company and they offer a 401k, you should be investing in it to get the company match. Also, the contributions you make to the 401k reduces your tax liability, because it comes out of the pay check prior to taxes. You would also want to verify with your company what the vesting amount is. Some organization you are fully vested immediately others it is five years. What this means, is if you leave the company for any reason, the money in your 401k goes with you. If you are fully vested you take your money and theirs. If you are vested at five years then you would take what you contributed, plus theirs based on the number of years you worked for the company. If you have over $5000 in your 401k and you leave the company, you can leave the account open, roll it over to your next companies 401k or open that ROTH IRA and deposit the funds there. As long as you do not withdraw the money, you are not penalized. You will then be able to get the money once you reach that retirement age. Please read up on it, or reach out to your companies 401k manager to get all the beneficials of a 401k. I learned this in my 20s and every time I left a company took that money with me. I also agree with you on those high yield savings accounts.

With so much negativity surrounding the leasing process, do you think it's worth it and will you continue with another lease or will you move in a different direction? I'm about to get my CDL and also was thinking about going the prime route. If it changes your opinion, I won't need the income from the truck for home expenses.
