- Deep within this forgotten forest a mysterious symphony of creatures can be heard. The cool air holds a mist that drifts throughout the tangled landscape. The dense, unexplored terrain is interspersed with rivers which flow from the Clydel Mountains to the north, and hosts an array of bio luminescent fungi that follow the water's edge.

i love how open the sound environment feels; like being in a place that's wide open and airy. Definitely 3-Dimensional and wide spread even though it's an area that is local. Can even smell the humidity and sweetness.

Oh, so we're in Myst, now.
This is truly admirable, because it's not just about going out into nature with high-tech microphone equipment. No. In order to make something like this, you actually require creativity and a great deal of fantasy.
For instance, we all know what a bird sounds like. But what does a Tanufalum sound like? Never heard of such a thing before? Well, that's cause I just made it up. But that was only the first part in the creative process. Next, we would need to give a "Tanufalum" some traits and characteristics or maybe combine some sounds, which we already know, to create a new sound for this "Tanufalum".
My point is, while this is surely a difficult task to undertake, the possibilities of creativity and fantasy really seem to be infinite, or at least as finite as our number system is.

Kudos for being back with an amazingly exotic ambience from elsewhere made with superb quality. Where does the distant music come from? That is the question. I particularly enjoy the shift in hue to the blue tones in the fungi at intervals in the ambience.
