Im really loving this RV! The all welded aluminum frame is a huge selling point. The layout is optimized for couples camping, which is a plus as well.
Only problem with our InTech trailer that’s a huge oversight is everything that’s bolted to the Aluminum Frame is bolted with none stainless steel bolts. Creating catastrophic failure to the bolts. Everything must be removed and swapped out for proper stainless bolts. Not to mention the stabilizers all must be removed and put either Teflon or duct tape between the steel and the aluminum before bolting back on with the new stainless steel bolts. Same for the steps. Be nice if InTech would do this since this is a known issue since our original InTech trailer and now on our second trailer.
Same goes for the Rover rack they need replacing asap. Ours came from InTech pre broken.
One last issue, the upgraded fridge shelves are so flimsy.
No outside shower but I can live with that. I usually use it for doing dishes to save my gray water storage. Superb unit.
There is a lot to like with this unit. We are currently owners of a 2005 Casita 17 Freedom Deluxe that we purchased in late 2015. We are huge fans of molded fiberglass campers and InTech is only one of two non-molded fiberglass brands that we would consider. All RVs are compromises, including this one. However, InTech offers smaller and larger units. Beyond the wonderful aesthetics of InTech units, I am a fan of this floor plan. It packs a ton of features into a small unit. We are big fans of the twin beds/lounging/king bed conversion. The wet bath is a fine compromise on a small camper. We have been using one for years.
Here are a couple of nitpicks:
1. We prefer a small sink in the wet bath similar to our Casita’s wet bath. I don’t want to spit toothpaste in our kitchen sink. This is not a deal breaker.
2. I know many people prefer dual axles. Our Casita is a single axle. I swap out tires every 4 years. I always monitor the tire pressures. The Casita is garaged when not camping. When camping, I cover the tires. When traveling, I use a TPMS. If you want two axles, there is the InTech Magnolia and Willow. Single axle is not a deal breaker for me.
3. Love the large farmhouse sink, but possibly a bit large for this unit. I would rather have a more compact stove and sink with and offer a bit more kitchen counter space. Again, this is not a deal breaker for me.
4. Due to the sloping downward line, the space over the twin beds is relegated to cubby space rather than traditional cabinet space. I would prefer traditional cabinets over the twins in addition to the cabinets across the back. Once again, not a deal breaker.
We have a garage with two 10’ doors. This unit would fit in the garage. NICE! The larger Magnolia/Willow would not (plus, I don’t like the east/west bed of the Magnolia plan).
Recognizing the compromises of ALL RVs, this floor plan and size are exceptional for our needs and wants.
Here is the deal breaker:
1. The combined grey/black tank of 32 gallons. We have camped 360 nights over the last 7 years traveling over 30,000 miles to 15 different states utilizing many public campgrounds that do not have sewer hookups. Our Casita has a 32 gallon gray tank AND a 16 gallon black, thus 48 gallons of capacity. The #1 limiting factor in staying longer in campgrounds for us is gray water capacity. We even dump dishwater in our black tank at times. We also carry a 12 gallon tote for gray water if the gray tank fills up. We just cannot buy a new larger camper that has 16 gallons less capacity for black/gray water. Perhaps the wet bath could be retrofitted with a cassette toilet (not a fan) or a composting toilet (hmm, significant expense and not sure that I would want to go this route). Of course, we could go with the larger Terra Magnolia/Willow, but these trailers will not fit in our garage and, despite being beautiful, are larger than we want/need.
Kudos to InTech for their design innovation (function and aesthetics). The Sol Dusk Is almost the “perfect” non-molded fiberglass trailer for us.

Thanks so much for your review. We saw this at the RV show today and are seriously considering it. I agree wholeheartedly with your assessments, especially about the sinks. We will only consider a twin bed layout, but how nice to have the option for the king bed.
@@mmpearson55 glad you got to see one. We saw one at the Nashville RV Show a couple of weeks ago. Just beautiful!!! Love the size. We did notice that interior storage will be a bit tight for us as well. Gosh, I wish they would have separate gray/black tanks approximately the same size or larger than our Casita. Wonderful camper!!! Well constructed. Amazing aesthetic.

Why put the big window upfront? I think it should be flipped and the large window on the back so you can back into the view you want to see.

Zero kitchen storage
We have had a Horizon for a year now and love it--but this bed configuration would be a plus. Sounds like one unhappy customer below, but the other folks' concerns aren't actually problems--roll-out sink cover makes plenty of counter space, fridge is big enough for us (and we don't have the additional pull-out kitchen), obviously the t.p. dispenser does stay dry, there are enough a.c. outlets, etc. Quality of construction is excellent!

We have the extra fridge (use as freezer, ice cream!) and one in our 4Runner...Love our Horizon Rover. Spoiled, after years of tent camping.
I have looked at these for years and almost purchased a horizon a few years ago. They need to add an axle. Single axle too dangerous if a blowout. Also no counter space. They put these huge sinks in. Make stove two burner in-line and make sink smaller with a decent prep cover. Or add some type of pop up counter. Otherwise this is a great unit.
I agree about the sinks. They look nice but in the SOL campers, they are just too big for the intended uses of such small trailers. With very small water tanks and combined waste tanks, I can’t see a lot of “sink work” happening to need such a big one. I don’t see the need for dual axles on such light trailers. Buy quality over-rated tires instead. You only need two instead of 4, so spend twice as much.

Agreed. There are some major design flaws and 'pretty' was chosen over practicality throughout these units. Not enough storage, cooking space and not even a sink in the wet bath ... #functionoverform
I am impressed! For a 2024 model there should be USB-C, and ethernet connections for satellite internet option though. No real need for a coax unless you are in a park and this baby should be in the great outdoors boon docking. The last minor suggestion is to get rid of the blue lighting or allow for the color to be changed to a warmer option. Blue really messes with sleep patterns.
Exactly!!! Blue-light filters are common nowadays so why put blue? This should be an option, not standard. It's not a disco. Also, why would any designer put blue-purple lighting in a unit designed in entirely warm-neutral colours? This clashes with their decor 😒. Their designers need to go back to the drawing board for function, necessities and light-choices.

Why is there no sink in the wet bath??? As a designer, I say don't expect ppl to come out of the wet bath then touch the kitchen sink handle to wash their hands. Incorporate effective hand-washing that eliminates cross-contamination in the food-prep area. Health and safety should never be forgotten or compromised on. I'd also suggest adding an outdoor shower for further hygiene and to help owners keep their trailers cleaner and more sanitary. 🤯😳🥺

Great flexibility to use the interior as needed; host 4-6 people, sleep 3 comfortably or enjoy a huge bed with your spouse/partner. Well done.

We have a Horizon. It is a bit smaller, a queen is fine for us. The quality is good, nothing is perfect. Larger water, grey/black tanks and better insulation would be nice. We added solar and lithium to assist boondocking...we look forward to traveling way more this year.
Love everything except would want a larger fridge freezer for longer trips.

2:16 the problem with this awning is that the awning is not big enough for the grill and refrigerator pack. Sort of a bad design but I’m pretty sure they might work it over.

Fellow coffee drinker: There is a 110 outlet on the side of the kitchen cabinet as you're coming in the door. This is the one I normally use. It's convenient if you're outside.
I'm a coffee drinker also so I know exactly how important it is lol.

Very Nice.. but the fridge is too small. With that size of trailer.. you could have mounted the monitors somewhere else and then would have had room for bigger 12 volt fridge.

12 volt ac might be a nice addition to the rover or solar package
those 12v ACs pull so many Amps. you're way more efficient to go with a mini split
I see no outlets! Around kitchen, below kitchen table or by back twin beds? Also when are trailers ALL going to put in the microwave Convention ovens? That way we can have a microwave and oven in one. Everything else I love! Table looks a little big?
Trailers don't need microwaves as much as they need airfryers....
Do the windows come with some kind of shades?I see the windows are tinted. But I'd like more privacy.

I'm trying to understand why you put the big window on the front, then block it with the dinette cushions. That would drive me insane.
I think a bigger back window would look great in addition to a large front window.
Are there options to change the blue lights to warm white? Blue light does not match the decor and is not great for the eyes at night.
You just hold the button on the blue lights and they turn to white lights
Can this be used in below zero Temps with full hook up or would you freeze to death.

Yeah, it's constructed so much better than anything else but you pay for it. You will always have people who think they need the best but do most people? At least they are not as bad as Airstream, the Apple of RVs.

Absolutely beautiful.. I have a 21 , Winnebago 1708 fb. I would sell mine and purchase yours??? But? I like the dual axel.
Maybe check out the Intech Terra Magnolia? It is about 20” longer and it appears to be taller as well, but it has dual axles. I am going back and forth between these two models.

The latrine has an airtight seal...with 1/2 hour of oxygen if you get trapped inside.
Obviously, they have an air inlet since they also have an exhaust fan built in. You can't have one without the other.
Looks nice. Unique style. But, the dorm size fridge, the shared small black/gray tank, lack of outside storage and wet bath are total negatives for me. My last small single axle trailer had a dry bath, full size fridge and normal height countertops but small holding tanks. There was plenty of room to increase the tank size if I had wanted to do that. The only pricing info I can discern puts this in the 50K and up range. I see it as a niche product. The salesperson in the video does do a fantastic job of selling the few positives. So, bravo.
I can't be the only person who HATES blue LEDs, right? They are terrible for night vision. Just about every device out of China that comes with an indicator light (ex: 12v USB adapters) comes with one and they are always blinding and distracting. Please consider this constructive feedback: nix the piercing blue

After just watching a video on new Horizons Summit for $350,000, you can see the USA the this lovely RV! I would fall on sword, before I’d pay that much for a 5th Wheel!
This is so cozy and has just enough space. Opps spoke too soon! Wet Bath 😖 Refrigerator/no freezer 😖😖😖😖😖😖 Not for me. I’d need at least 24 ft. Just HATE Wet Baths! I mean really hate! We had one on a boat! NEVER EVER AGAIN! I refuse to Chamois down one more thing.

Love this floor plan. It needs to be a duel axel. That refrigerator size is to small. That sink is giant for this kitchen. Just needs a cover for half to use as counter space.

That's literally one of the first things he shows you- 35 seconds in. It is full aluminum frame- he explains the difference in how other trailers are built.

the diamond stitching on the upright cushion at the end of the sofas/beds should be applied to the other upright cushions, as well as to the sitting surfaces. basic design mistake you made!!!
Outdoor kitchen faulty, not covered on warranty
I rewatched the video. There are literally no plugs. WTF?!
“Literally no plugs” ? I easily see the external outlets near the curb side wheel and then Inside on the left just as you enter (side of kitchen drawer bank), another outlet on dinette side of microwave/fridge cabinet, another outlet behind the tv, another outlet just under the nightstand between the bunks, and usb outlets under the bunk reading lights.

Negative review. Recently purchased a sol horizon and they installed a screw through the wiring. Refused to fix the problem. Not covered. Terrible service.

The sink area is too big. Sure we'd love a bigger sink, but I'm not going to trade that for space for my Kerug and toaster that now fits behind the burners.
The wet bath is not like my Winnebago wet bath. The toilet paper holder in this Sol needs to be taken OUT of the bathroom or it gets ruined. Along with anything else that can't get wet. My Winnie has a pouch holder behind the toilet that I draw a curtain across to protect the TP in one of the pockets.
The camra lens makes this trailer look huge. For example the distance from the table to the sink. There is no food prep area but wait: I bet the distance from the stove (me sautéing onions) is just a stretch to pick up food from the table.
I have to laugh at the couple on the bed. Look at the men's shorts compared to the length of the woman's shorts? I can't even see the shorts on the woman. Just skin. The sexualization of women starts at birth, continues for a lifetime.... especially when trying to sell something.

As wet baths 🛁 go, that is decent! Used a friends Airstream Basecamp and couldn’t turn around, just a thoroughly frustrating experience. This would work! ❤
