  • A brief overview of some nice ivory grips on my Kimber Custom II 1911. These are Tru-Ivory grips in the "Slightly Aged" color pattern and A1 configuration. They are a nice way to dress up your 1911 if you want to take a break from the standard tactical/Punisher/infidel etc. grips. Available from Bar-S grips in Lake Stevens, WA for around $95. Unfortunately I only have a camera phone at this time, but check out the higher resolution photos taken with my SLR camera for a better look. This was my very first attempt at a UA-cam video, so I apologize for filming it in portrait rather than landscape view. Thank you for watching.

They look good , I have deciding in buying some like those but haven't decided. Every time I see a dark 1911 with them I just want them even more.

I purchase Bar-S TruIvory grips for all of my 1911's. They are great for the price and look fantastic. You said it best, they are the "Next Best Thing" for the real deal.

@lonestarjayson Thanks. I really should redo this video on a real camera. The only problem I've had with the grips is that they come loose after a box or two of ammo. If you don't plan on removing them, some blue loctite on the screws will take care of it.

I had some trouble with that as well, but they will respond. Your next message should be "1996 called. It wants its website back"

Ivory grips are meant to give you more class. They go very well with a glossy grey or white suit. Really nice grips.

@LaZoucheCustomshop thank you for the input. I do indeed turn my iPhone to landscape mode now, and I found an app that allows me to upload to UA-cam in full 720p, so my newer videos are a lot less crude. Actually, this one was made as I was getting dressed to go to work one morning. I have since started putting just a bit more planning and effort into them lol.

don stromberg I bought a set of elephant ones for a 1903 colt hammerless yesterday for 300, and that was the cheapest ones I've found

      300$-700$ ballpark.....
No need to get them when faux ivory looks just as good and is more durable....$29.99 all day

I still think LS grips make the best faux ivory grips.I have people tell me all the time that's some good looking ivory can I look at that gun.I tell them it's fake ivory after they look at it and they are stunned.

unfortunately, their website is very primitive and does not allow direct ordering. what you have to do is email their sales people to get the order started. sales @ truivory (dot) com
kind of a pain, but the grips are really nice and worth the hassle
